Tuesday Teaser

Standard

Ta Da!  It’s Time!

Hello class!   Here we are again on a Tuesday – ready to take a peek at a photo or two and figure out WHERE it was taken!   BUT FIRST – run quick and comment on THIS POST – yes – THIS POST – because if you do, you  might be the FIRST COMMENTER and win a badge!   YAY!

Now today we have a GUEST TEASER and I’m going to give you TWO photos to agonize over not the usual ONE!    WOW………you should have plenty to see and figure out with TWO photos right?   Remember when it comes time for you to make your guess, you must give me ALL info – in what town/city and what country (if not USA) or what state (if USA) the photos were taken.  Got it?   Good!

What say we start off with a rowsing cheer from our little dy-no-mite cheering expert, SuzieQ??

Hello and good morning class
I’m here to bring you some SASS
My last cheer was so boring
I heard some of you in class snoring!
I know you like me to be rough
You like your cheerleaders TOUGH
So come on and get to guessing
Or with your mind I will be messing!
You’d better make a guess QUICK
Or I’ll hit you with a great big stick!!!!!!

Alright!  Now that’s the SuzieQ we know and love and expect to hear on Tuesdays……………….right class???????????????????? RIGHT?????????????????

Since you’re all ready – let’s bring Mr. Silver Suitcase the guy with the photos for this week’s Teaser.   He’s been guarding them all week and I’m sure he’s ready to get that suitcase off his wrist so he can take a proper shower.

I’ve got the photos here Professor Sam!

One near and one far away…………….both of the same location………but WHERE is it?????????????????  If you know WHAT it is that’s even better although all you really have to do is tell me WHERE.    You have all day to inspect the photos and tomorrow we will have a TELL ALL class and you’ll find out who wins what!   Here’s what’s up for grabs:

FOR THE FIRST RIGHT GUESSER:

FOR ANYONE ELSE WHO GUESSES RIGHT:

IF YOU BLOW IT AND GUESS INCORRECTLY YOU STILL GET SOMETHING:

Now I believe we promised you some cookies today – there were a few whiners in the classroom who simply MUST have cookies in class even though your Moms will claim we are ruining your dinner.   Well tough.   You all work hard in class all day and deserve a treat right?   Right!

YES WE KNOW YOU DO!!!!!!

SARGE will make sure you all behave yourselves by the refreshment table so no shoving or pushing – there’s PLENTY for everyone OK class?

YESSIR!

I’LL BE WATCHIN’ YOU!

You may take your snacks out to the playground for recess!    Then back in when the bell rings for more studying!

Angel Professor Sam and Assistant Prof Teddy

Shhhh!  No telling answers until tomorrow you two!!!!!!

  2. It reminds us of a castle we saw in France, but the need to see a turret, and there isn’t one in the picture. I know it’s not the right castle tho and probably not even the right country.

  3. It’s a ruin, but I don’t know where. I will put my thinking cap on.

I’m glad Suzie’s back on form. I was a bit worried about her yesterday.

  4. I’ve been thinking and it could be Dolwyddelan Castle, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Wales. If it is, do I get extra points for guessing who supplied the teaser photo?

So mom and dad have been watching the program called Stone House renovations…it takes place in Buck Co. PA. It is a wonderful program and oh the gorgeous homes most dating way back to the 1800’s some older.
So maybe this is a stone hose that is about to be renovated. MOLMOL

  6. Now that’s what we call a fixer-upper. Mom says you can’t drive a mile through Europe, especially Germany, without seeing one of these ruined castles, and that this one is actually in pretty good shape. She’s visited so many, they swim in her head, and this could be just about anywhere. Good luck to those whom actually have a guess. Oh goodie, cookies and milkshakes. That makes up for another Greenie.Thank you. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

  7. It immediately makes me think of Europe and its many castles. But, we agree…we think it is Gillette Castle, at the state park in Connecticut, Good old USA. But, of course, we are not first…*sigh*…but we are happy to be here! Hugs for everyone!

    • Remember if you are RIGHT with your guess, doesn’t matter if you’re first – you still get a RIGHT GUESSER badge (woot!)……..BUT that’s assuming you’re right and we won’t know that for sure until tomorrow’s class!

  9. Oh, oh….this is the Gillette Castle between East Haddam and Lyme in Connecticut. This castle is in a Park. At the bottom of the hill is a river. This is where they throw the used razor blades from Gillette. I’ve heard the river is in danger of flooding because there are so many discarded blades in the poor river.

  10. Ye Olde School Prison (Or Gaol, as they used to call it in those days) upon the wooded hill of Sherwood Forest. While your modern day pens all have cable TV, wifi and conjugal visits… YOSP instead had torture racks, chains, and plenty of rock piles for the unmerry men incarcerated there to break up into tiny little pebbles. They don’t make ’em like that anymore…

  11. Whoot, we did get here, MOL! That building does not look like a place petcretary wants to live in…at least not while it looks old and cold and stony like that, OMC! At least it doesn’t look too cold judging by the leaves on all the trees. It is lush. Maybe good burd hunting grounds??

We think it might be an old castle of some rich furmily? Did they run off and abandon it?? Nope…it just looks that way for some reason…
it is a tourist attraction and you can tour it too.
Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam, Connecticut.

OK, now petcretary has to get in her car…see ya! Like about 320 miles later…

  12. Well it looks like there are a lot of guessers Sammy 🙂 We have no idea as usual but are very excited about the cookies! Are we the last guessers this week? Or “not guessers” since we have no idea 🙂
