Welcome to the Harvest Party!
Teddy and I are mighty glad to see you!
We’re going to work our buns off harvesting this fabulous crop of bacon but we’re ALSO going to have a whole lot of good old-fashioned fun……………..not to mention a GRAND bacon buffet cooked up from the fruits of our labor. Thanks to all of you who are stopping by – whether you’re harvesting with us today or just hanging out with us and watching us as we work. Pull up a chair and a lemonade and sit a spell!
My good friend Madi has a refreshment wheelbarrow she’ll be pushing around the grounds today so when she heads your way, just ask for something to wet your whistle!

There are some spots you can enjoy in the shade OR put out a blanket and lie in the sunshine if you’d rather…………………
Teddy and I will be cruising around the greenhouse area and the grounds giving Queen Nellie a ride in our wagon…………we don’t want her getting overly tired so we thought we’d be her “chariot” for the day! Make sure you say howdy-do when you see her……..after all, it’s not every day you get a visit from the Queen!!
Now, just a quick reminder for those of you who haven’t been with us for long, our bacon greenhouse was started when we received as a special gift, a package of magical bacon seeds from our good friends The Cat On My Head. I know what you’re saying – WHO EVER HEARD OF GROWING BACON FROM SEEDS? Well if they are MAGIC, they grow!
So we planted them and watched the plants get bigger and bigger until they finally budded and now they are full of bacon goodness and ready to harvest!
We should thank our greenhouse staff before we begin harvesting……………………thanks to the Greenhouse Snoopervisor and her crew!

Uhhhh…..thanks SuzieQ – those of you who follow the Tuesday Teasers know Suzie our Teaser Cheerleader and she wanted to be here today to cheer everyone on……………….in her own interesting way!
Now I’ll repeat this a couple of times just so everyone “gets” it, but we are having a GIVEAWAY today in honor of the harvest. Part of what we’re going to do today is the passing of the crown to my little brother Teddy. You know now I’m an Angel at the Rainbow Bridge – and I love being an Angel and love being able to come here on a day pass (or if I’m lucky a weekend pass!) and visit with my Mom, Dad, Teddy and all of you. But I AM gone now………and the passing of the baton from ME to Teddy is just a natural part of things moving on. I decided that I should give Teddy the crown as KING of Bacon (or Baconia as we call it) and I will be the King Emeritus! Teddy is excited about taking over the position and I hope that all of you will be happy with him as KING. Here I am on the throne one last time……….
It’s been a pleasure being the King believe me………….and I’ll have just as much fun being King Emeritus…………but it’s now my EXTREME pleasure to introduce to you, our NEW King of Baconia, KING TEDDY!

Dear Angel Sammy and King Teddy: I am definitely not complaining, because I loved being at the Bacon Harvest. However, maybe I missed it but I didn’t see my photo there. i did put it on my blog, though. And thank you fur the bacon package! My kitty brother, Hazuzu, was pretty excited when I brought it home. Hi Louisdog!!! You are in the slideshow – I just checked – between Mario and Katie Isabella…..it moves kind of quickly and it’s easy to miss someone – I maybe should have just shown everyone’s photos instead of doing a slideshow! So glad that Hazuzu is enjoying the bacon. The harvest is a TON OF FUN isn’t it????

Angel Sammy, this is a great celebration! It’s my first Bacon Harvest ever!! But it won’t be my last! I know what you mean about passing on the crown but after all, now that I’m an Angel I’m just not able to be around as much as I used to. Oh Doctor Phoebe and Samantha thank you for coming to the HARVEST PAWTY! What a time we’re having……and it makes my heart full that you are part of it. Know what? My Mom lived in Taiwan for TWO YEARS in the early 60s…..she went to Taipei American School but lived up on “Grass Mountain” in a military compound by a Taiwanese village. She has such FOND memories of Taipei and toodling around in pedicabs….it was two years of “growing up” for her as she was a freshman and sophomore in high school at the time. Anyway, thanks for the giveaway goodies – we will keep an eye on our mailbox! We will include Samantha in our giveaway for the HARVEST blog too….. Thank you so much for coming to the pawty – I’m having the BEST TIME EVER!

HAHAHA……it was interesting there and I know it’s changed significantly since then. I remember on our trip to GET there we stopped in Honolulu then “island hopped” to Wake Island and at Wake my brother and I asked a man working at the airport who had a desk in front of a BIG world map WHERE the island of Taiwan was and he couldn’t find it!!! HAHAHA We got a little freaked out by that! I really do have some great memories of our time there.

It really is…..there was only one other high school on the island that our school football team could play……….we had to take a TRAIN to the other end of the island for games! HAHAHAHA Anyway, it was an interesting two years and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

WOW! Teddy! Angel Sammy! This is THE biggest extravaganza I have EVER had the opportunity to be a part of! I love working off a few micrograms in the Bacon Greenhouse today and that bouquet of bacon…ah….what a fab table decoration for me at home when I get back to the house. It’s so great being here with all our furriends, I don’t want to get back home any time soon. I love Madi’s traveling wheelbarrow with snackables and drinkies. Did I see a Bacon Margarita??? And what a job it had to have been to get all those eatables and drinkables ready for the harvest but many paws make light work of eating, drinking and— we will help clean up. Teddy, you are a totally adorable King of Bacon. Angel Sammy passed the Baton in a spectacular manner!

The harvesting is hard work but great fun. It is nice for all of us to be working together and then having a chat at the bacon buffet.
Concats to Teddy on becoming the new King of Baconia. He has a lot to live up to, but with your guidance I am sure he will be a very good King.

I can’t pawsibly keep an eye on Mitzi and Suzie and also keep up with the harvesting so I’m kind of trusting (hahahahahahahahahaha) that they behave. Chances are LARGE that they won’t but as I’ve said “what happens at the harvest STAYS at the harvest” ! We’ve got Mitzi in the drawing and since the prizes are surprises, We’re not tellin’ !!! We’ll announce winners tomorrow though. Who knows – maybe one of the prizes is a thong bikini outfit which would allow Mitzi to shake her bootie without leaving the flap down if you get my drift.

I told ya that you should have sent me your photo – you could have been in charge of that nice lunch area with the umbrellas, etc. as that’s where the bacon cheeseburgers are being done up! I know you would have kept an eye (and a mouth) on them for sure right????? Oh I bet those bacon cheddar pinwheels would be delightful with buttah – come to think of it, EVERYTHING is bettah with buttah!

Boy that was some harvest! Whew…tons of the brown, crispy stuff and tons of kitties. I’m not sure what was more fun, harvesting bacon for the new king or chasing kitties…but all in good fun. Hope you had as much fun as I did and thank you for inviting me to sprint around with you all. A boy like me has gotta keep his girlish figure, right? Especially with all that bacon! 🙂

Sammy and Teddy, this is absolutely amazing. What a fine crop you have here. We are also harvesting seeds for you, so that you can continue to have bacon crops year after year. Such a great turnout of harvesters. We love that you two are chauffeuring Queen Nellie around the site. It makes us a bit sad that Sammy is retiring as King, but we know Teddy will work hard to fill those extra big Sammy paws. Please enter us in your giveaway. Thanks for such a fun day. Thanks SO MUCH for all the help today at the harvest! Amazing crop isn’t it? I don’t think anyone really could tell just how much BOUNTY there was in the greenhouse until they got here to help harvest it! Thanks to Mau and Cooper Murphy for helping out – we’ve had a ball even though it’s been tough work. Nellie seems to be enjoying her royal ride today – which is just what we wanted her to do…….and I think everyone is having fun eating bacon goodies as well as harvesting! I have to admit that I’m a bit sad to be passing on the crown to my little brother but he will do a great job of continuing the bacon postings I am sure. I’ll be watching over him – just like I watch over him now………proud big brother.

The bacon bouquet was almost too purrty to eat. But we ate it anyway., I hope that was OK. Sammy it was very nice of you to pass the baton so to speak to Teddy. We would love to be in your drawing. We are so glad Mommy let us come to your party, it is a lot of fun and very tasty. Who knew bacon came from seeds. We simply don’t understand why there are no bacon plants in our greenhouse.

Whew! This bacon harvesting stuff is mighty hard work. i just now finished. That’s why I’m so late getting here. But don’t worry, I plan on drinking lots and eating lots to build my strength up again. This has been the biggest and bestest bash I’ve ever been too. M says she can’t imagine how many hours of work you put in to host this bacon harvest, but it must have been way more hours than we can even count to. You did a fabulous job and it will be a day to remember always. Yes, please include us in the give away for whatever it is. We love surprises. What a fun bacon harvest this has been.

We are glad to find there were still a few bacon crumbs lying about to glean…cause in our den there nevfur is any bacon…the peeps say there are too many not good ingredients in there. Sheesh:(

Hi gang! Oh we were here WELL into the evening so it was never too late to be in the giveaway. Mom put everyone’s names in the RANDOMIZER online and let it pick three winners but she didn’t do that until MIDNIGHT so everyone who wanted to be in the giveaway had the same chance! I WAS HERE! I read and even shared it with Bill, but was not able to comment. Saturday was pretty crazy here. You guys are so much fun. Teddy’s crowning actually made me teary. It was another sign of the times, a rite of passage. Hugs.
