Friendly Fill-Ins!

Let’s Fill In Shall We??

Every week we pawticipate in a fun Blog Hop co-hosted by 15andMeowing and McGuffy’s Reader……….it’s tons of fun……….if you haven’t “filled in the blanks” before, you should give it a whirl!   You can click on the above badge and go to McGuffy’s and use the Linky Tool to join in!!

We took a look at the questions and decided that Mom would be the best one to answer these………we don’t watch much TV or have crushes (tee hee) but Mom probably did 87 years ago so take it away Mom!   Her responses are in ORANGE (or is it GINGER?!)!

Here are this week’s four sentences!

1. I hope Eastenders gets renewed for another season.

2. My first crush was a boy named Dewey – I think it was third or fourth grade.   He was adorable but not yet interested in LUV.  Too bad for him!.

3. Chocolate usually makes me get a headache but it’s SOOOOO worth it!.

4. If I were a super-hero, I would be exhausted all the time.
So there we are!    Thanks Mom – you did a good job.   We are proud of ya…………………..!

Yep – we sure are!

Uhhuh Mom – we are!

See you tomorrow for BACON SATURDAY……!

P.S.  Thank you Cousin Bacon and everyone at the Hotel Thompson for the “goodie package” I got in the mail Thursday!   It was for my first birthday and had treats and a squirrel stuffie inside!   Oh boy!

I’m sending you Teddy Hugs and Love  ♥♥

We are also sending hugs to Miss Laura and all the Tabbies O Trout Towne because their Boomer has gone to the Bridge.   Of course I was there along with MANY other friends to welcome him but left behind are the family – and the friends – and everyone will miss him greatly.   Love goes on forever though…………and Boomer will always be in your hearts.

If you click the badge above, you may go and leave a message at their blog……

  1. Our moms are polar opposites when it comes to TV, Angel S. Mom NEVER stops watching TV. She “watches” even when we sleep. When she shuts the TV off, I start to panic because I know that means she’s leaving me. Sometimes she leaves the TV on so I can watch when she’s gone (and not get afraid).

    • Oh Cupcake….it’s nice that the TV is your pal when Mom’s gone and if having it on all the time and watching the “tube” is one of your Mom’s fave things then that means it’s a “good” thing. We want our Moms to be happy yes???

      Love, Angel Sam and Ted

    • It’s a British “soap opera” of sorts……..only broadcast on SOME stations on PBS. We’ve watched it every Saturday for over 10 years. It’s a lot more interesting than American soap operas though or no way would my husband be hooked on it too!

  2. Boys, I am glad you let your Mom do the Fill-ins this week because I always enjoy her thoughts! Eastenders? I will have to check that out! Dewey… how interesting… 🙂 I think being a super-hero would be very exhausting! Can’t wait until Bacon Saturday! So sad over Boomer.

    • Eastenders is a British “soap opera”….David was hooked on it before I was but we’ve watched it on PBS for over 10 years! LOL I was thinking as I mentioned the name “Dewey” that it’s one of those old timey names – you NEVER hear of a “Dewey” these days. He was a cutie though – blonde hair, great smile….all the girls had a rush on him. I was just a gawky, glasses-wearing, skinny little girl who thought he was adorable from afar. Yeah, super-hero-ing would be very tiring and probably very frustrating – not everyone WANTS to be saved it seems!!!!!!

      Love, Pam

  3. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I haven’t heard of the show Eastenders, I will look into that. Sorry Dewey didn’t have mutual feelings, his loss. We were sad to see Boomer went to The Bridge. Have a great weekend! XO

    • Eastenders is on PBS here…..and it’s kind of an “acquired taste” (!!) since it’s a soap opera. We were very sad about Boomer too – Sammy is taking care of him though……………. 🙂

  4. Do you know whatever became of Dewey? The first little boy that I liked, probably around 2nd or 3rd grade, was named Bernard. I have no clue whatever happened to him beyond that school year.

I am so sorry for Boomer’s family. I bet he is getting lots of help from you, Sammy, in his new place.

    Have a blessed weekend!

    • No idea what became of Dewey…..we lived on an Air Force Base in Selma, Alabama at the time and his Dad was stationed somewhere else after that and my Dad was stationed somewhere else…..the life in the service is such that you have a tough time with friendships. As I recall he was very shy and so was I so it probably would have been DOOMED anyway! LOL

      • The military life does make relationships difficult to maintain. Everyone is always moving around and military mail is the pits!
Maybe it wouldn’t have been doomed, but it sure would have been a quiet relationship if both of you were too shy to talk. 🙂 Have a blessed day.

        • Yep – but perhaps he – like me – grew out of that. I had to grow out of it when I did book tours and talks in libraries and book clubs…….who knows what Dewey wound up being – probably a loud-mouthed politician (tee hee).

          • That is always possible. haha
I never grew out of it. My 11th grade US history teacher, Mrs. Pennington, tried to help me over the shyness. She had us do current events each week. We had to get in front of the class to talk about what was going on in the world. My tongue swelled and knees shook just as bad the last week as they had the first week we did those things.

I guess I’ll be shy and introverted till the day I die. Who knows, maybe even after that. 🙂
            Hugs, Suz

  5. We already think Mom Pam is a super hero. We would give her the title of Bacon Woman ’cause we all know she’s the bestest and most famous bacon maker in history. Are you going to try it tomorrow Teddy? Sending love to all. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

    • I actually did have a tiny piece of bacon – I’m just so “busy”running around that I don’t take time to “smell the roses” (or bacon”….but Mom thinks I will be a real bacon-maniac like my big brother was…..eventually!

  6. It frustrates the heck out of me that something on either mine or Blogger’s side will not allow me to comment on the Trout Towne blog… but I certainly offer my condolences to the gang there on the loss of Boomer. That was a very beautiful post of Boomer’s awakening….

    • Sometimes when it looks like we can’t comment, it’s just that the blogs have comment moderation on – at least that’s what I’ve been told – who knows…..I’ve never been able to get email notice of their blog posts – I try to remember to go by though when I think about it.

  7. Those are great answers. My mum used to watch Easties but doesn’t really watch much TV now. She loves chocolate and says she’s glad it doesn’t give her a headache.

  8. Do you watch the Eastenders? I’ve never watched that one but quite often I’ll watch Corrie with the peeps. And Peep #1 says that long, long ago – before I was even born – she used to watch another one but can’t even remember the name of it now. MOUSES!
