Thankful and Thoroughly Poetic Thursday!

Standard

It’s one of our Double Post days!

First of all we join in Brian’s THANKFUL THURSDAY blog hop – why?  Well, for one thing – the most important thing really – we are ever so thankful for MANY things.   My Mom is thankful that she is one of very few people we know who has NOT had the flu which is going around (knock on wood) and she’s hoping she doesn’t get it.   She washes her hands every five minutes (slight exaggeration) and whenever she goes shopping she makes sure to wash the second she gets back home – GERMS ARE EVERYWHERE!   No she’s not a “germ-nut” she’s just careful!!    We’re also thankful for our little Teddy.   He’s a ray of very bright sunshine in our lives.   I no longer have to worry about my Mom and Dad being so lonely since I’m at the Bridge now, and Teddy doesn’t have to worry about a forever home because he HAS ONE!    If you’d like to join the THANKFUL THURSDAY hop at Brian’s, just click their badge below and use the linky tool!

NOW for PART TWO of today’s blog!

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday with Angel Sammy!!   Today we celebrate the letter “M” !

“M”

“Magic”

By Angel Sammy Kimmell, 3/9/2017

Magic happens every day

If your heart is open to “see”

It can be a simple bit of magic in its’ way

If you set your imagination free…..

A new bird at the feeder, a card you weren’t expecting –

A bouquet of flowers as a surprise

Can send us to reflecting…..

Magic is all around us

It’s surrounds us in our lives

Sometimes it’s just a TINY thing

Like a very special surprise.

Special love is magic

It’s warm and cozy and true……..

I wish you ALL that magic –

It’s my hope from ME to all of YOU……….

Now if you’d like to join in with your OWN “M” poem, you can write it in my comments here OR put a link to your blog post with your poem in my comments – either way we will get to visit your blog or see your poem in honor of the letter “M”!

Have a MAGIC day my friends…..

Love, Monsieur Angel Sammy

In case you’re wondering what Teddy is up to today:

Yep – the guy is a “back sleeper”!

BUT he’s not the only one!   Check out these photos from Oliver and Calvin’s Mom Miss Melissa!

All you need is your remote Calvin!

Yep – that’s a “back sleeper” if ever there was one!

Thanks for sharing the photos Miss Melissa!!!

  1. Your mom is smart to know that germs are everywher, Angel S. My mom IS a germ nut – especially after seeing a student teacher or visiting a school for an author visit. When she comes home – get out of the way. She has to get sterilized before she even touches me. So far, so good….

    • I think that sterilization technique must work because my Mom doesn’t get all those “BUGGIES” that everyone ELSE gets – same for you and your Mom right Cupcake? THEY ARE SMART!!!!!

  3. oh I wish some magic is around us efurry day… and it helps that our wishes come true. the mama is a germ-nut… she said the root of evil are the handles of shopping carts…. and she never will touch one without covering the whole thing with her hand sanitizer… we probably need more of that stuff efurry month like the kingdom hospital…

    • That’s a brilliant idea on the hand sanitizer. Most places here have hand-sanitizing cloths in a dispenser right inside the door of the store/grocery so you can grab one or 100 and wash down the cart or handle before you get those BUGGIES all over you. Being a germ-nut is a GOOD IDEA……..!

  4. Aw, we love the poem today! One of Motor Mommy’s favorite expressions, when Motor Man asks her how something happened, is: “It’s magic!”

  5. Such a sweet poem, Angel Sammy! And yes…I think Mom is being totally smart by washing her hands all the time! It’s the best thing you can do to prevent getting one of those nasty bugs.

And btw…Samantha is a back sleeper too! And she loves having her floofy tummy rubbed….and I love rubbing it!

    Many hugs to you all!! ❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

  6. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Angel Sammy Magic is for sure all around us. You hit on all the possibilities that we can have if we are accepting. Beautiful as always.

OMCs do we hear you on the flu germs EVERYWHERE!! MY word the stuff is sneaky and then there is the upper respiratory infection going around here too. Mom’s bestie here and her hubby have been dealing with something since January. Hers turned in to pneumonia too.
Mom is a hand washing freak too
Sending healthy vibes and hugs to all

  7. OMC, mom woke up with a cold this morning. She is really stuffed up and coughing. We might need to find someplace else to stay this weekend, her barking cough is keeping us from sleeping, but we will take very good care of her, as soon as we find our gloves and surgical masks MOL! I’m super surprised to see ME on YOUR blog Angel Sam and Teddy. Thanks for sharing my pics and I do love having my belly rubbed. I’ll anyone rub my belly, even the mail lady 🙂

    • OH NO!!!!!!! Make sure you do the surgical masks and gloves OR even better – rent some space suits for the duration! Take care of your Mom but do not get sick OK? You’re now officially PURRAMEDICS!

  8. Your thankfulness was great today. I am thankful I didn’t get the flu this year, too! I even dodged it when CH had it and was hacking up a lung, blowing his nose, and had a fever for a couple of days. I wash my hands a lot. Definitely after coming home from running errands and I use the wipes provided by the food stores to wipe the cart handle and seat. Takes seconds and what can it hurt? I am also thankful that in the recent storms we didn’t have any damage, just tree limbs down and on the roof. Magic does happen every day… Magic that just comes out of nowhere and makes you do a happy dance! Awesome Magic, Angel Sammy! Teddy is a relaxed kitty! That picture of Calvin cracks me up!

    • Mom said to tell you she “knew” you’d feel the same way as SHE does about magic being everywhere if you look for it. Sometimes it’s hiding but you can FIND it if you look……and BRAVO FOR YOU being a handwashing freak! It pays off doesn’t it!!!! YAY!!!!

      • Angel Sammy and Teddy, tell your Mom that I “knew” she would feel the same way about the MAGIC and that when I typed my comment I “knew” she would “know” what I was typing about! So much magic everywhere. Whew! Handwashing and not touching your face with hands that have germs on them is a good rule, too.

        • YES……..Mom does try to remember that not touching face thing – she carries wipes and stuff in her purse but sometimes – well – it’s tough to keep those hands AWAY until you can use the wipes!!!!! Magic helps with that though (wink).

  9. Good morning Angel Sammy and Teddy. We thought your poem was “magical.” Mom had a very, very, very bad evening and was unable to finish or post our poem, but she will do so at some point today. We cannot miss your Thoroughly Poetic Thursday. It is sad that our mommy got sick as she is a fanatical hand washer. She’ll be praying that Mom Pam and Dad David stay well. • Yep – they got “got” by a germie alright – both of ’em! EEEEK! I still think since you guys live near the space center you could get a good deal on two slightly used space suits to keep from being exposed to ANY germs!

    • HAHAHA……Sammy never slept with us for some reason…..Teddy is a “pillow” sleeper……he gets up on my pillow next to my cheek and puts his cheek on mine……..I don’t even mind his snoring (which is more than I can say for the human on the other side of the bed!).

      • I can relate! Chloe Jo sleeps on or next to my head at night. She likes me to hold her on her back (like a baby) while I sit in my chair, during the day. She is my babycat. George does not sleep with us at night. He prowls and hangs out with Grizelda then. He will come get on me when I sit in my chair, stretch out and sleep. He thinks differently than the Girls. Grizelda is his closest ally. I am so glad you have Teddy. I hope it is okay that I included him on my new Rainbow Friend page. HUGS.
