Jamison – a tragic loss in Blogville

Today is a day just for Angel Jamison………….

We’ve been following Jamison’s family blog for a while but didn’t really know HIM as well as we did his brother Noodle but just as we were getting to know him, he had a horribly sad thing happen at his house.   He was attacked by a dog and had a great deal of extremely serious and scary injuries.    It was terrifying to read about, and I know his family was incredibly sad that it happened.   He had the very best of vet care with a lot of repair work and surgery and had made it home where he was cared for with the loving hands and hearts of his family.    They did everything they could to make him comfortable and help him try to recover.   He only knew pure love in his last days…………

But the injuries were just too bad for Jamison to come back from……………he fought so hard to stay but in the end, he had to travel to the Rainbow Bridge – where I am – and became an Angel.

I can assure his family that Jamison is adjusting to Angel life just fine.   We are all making sure he feels welcome and showing him how he can still visit his family “back home”………most of all I remind him that he is ALWAYS and FOREVER in their hearts.

  2. Precious sweet Jamison…you are right Angel Sammy it was a horrific accident with terrible injuries.
    Jamison was a warrior but it was just too much. We are so sorry for Macy’s loss of a best friend and Noodles loss of his brudder. Hugs and purrs to his family

    • I knew Noodle very well but Jamison didn’t blog much so I knew he lived there but didn’t really “know” him. He was a rescue though…..and they always have my heart. The attack from the dog was beyond horrible and I hope and pray that that just NEVER happens to any cat I know again – EVER. So scary…..

  6. It breaks my heart all over again now that I know from here what happened. I did not know him, but after notification I had been to visit the family and offer my love and condolences but again, I didn’t know what happened. The terror and pain must have been unbearable to him and his family. No, it should not have happened. But we will love the family and precious Jamison always.

    • Yes I know it’s almost hard to even THINK about…..how scared he was, how much pain he must have had….but he was so brave and he tried to come back. It was just too much for his body to take – he’s resting here now and has no pain and no injuries – he’s whole and a beautiful black panther angel………..it was tragic but he’s alright now.

  9. what a great tribute… he will be in our hearts and in our memory forever… as the black panther and brother of noodle… and I will keep the courtcase and frankie and ernie in my memory forever… to remember such funny moments can stop the tears (sometimes)

  10. Angel Sammy, thank you for such a beautiful post. Knowing you are there with him, guiding him, and being able to reassure us that he’s okay, well that’s priceless. We love and miss you both so very much. *Ear licks*

    • No worries Noodle……..Jamison is fine – he misses all of you…..he will always be there with you so you can talk to him any time you want to! I’m happy so many bloggers talked about him today – he was SO brave.

  17. Sammy, that was so beautiful. Though we didn’t know Jamison, were sorry to hear of his passing a few days ago, and left condolences for his family. We know you, Fiona, Easy and all the other newest angels are making him feel welcome. Sending all our loe to you, Mom pam and Dad David.     • I sure love seeing Cooper Murphy’s name on your signature block now! YAY COOP! As for Jamison – a tragic story indeed. I can’t think of a more horrible thing for an animal to go through than an attack like that…..he was very brave to try and recover but it was just so devastating.

  18. It is so very sad! We know Noodle, but not Jamison. A horrible horrible thing to happen!! Angel Sammy, you have now many friends with you and I expect you are having a wonderful time, but we miss you all so! ❤️❤️❤️

    • Austin there are so many of our friends here now……..it’s mind-boggling but my Mom says when you are part of Blogville you know a lot of friends and we anipals don’t have as long a life as humans……we aren’t here that long so there are a LOT of departures! It gets overwhelming sometimes at how many there are in fact………but we are all happy, healthy again, young, and free to visit our friends when we want to (and when you all believe you can see us!). We miss all of you too………believe me.

    • Yes we welcomed Jamison with open arms……he was so badly hurt but fought a valiant fight to stay……..it makes me so very sad. He’s no longer in pain though and I’m sure he was in awful pain.

    • Luckily Jamison’s family have a whole lot of friends so we’re all trying to help them deal with the tragic loss. It’s especially hard when it’s a violent and horrible end.

    • The Bridge has been an incredibly busy place for the last year…………we don’t (sadly) see any letting up of the pattern for the new year. Mom says the more blogs we follow the more we will find that our friends are leaving us and heading up HERE where I am. We just don’t live LONG lives like most humans do………continuous sadness is awful though isn’t it…….!

    • Yes it was a terrible, terrible event and Jamison tried very hard to come back but it was just too much…..he’s here at the Rainbow Bridge with me and all the other Angels though and he happy and healthy again.
