Fill ‘er up!!!

Today is Friendly Fill-Ins which is co-hosted by Ellen at 15andmeowing and Ann of McGuffy’sReader.    Thank you ladies for this fun blog hop.   Today I’m letting my Mom answer because – well –

Here are the sentences for this week and Mom’s answers are in RED just BECAUSE it’s bright!    If you would like to pawticipate in filling in sentences, just visit McGuffy’s Reader and add your blog to the LINKY TOOL and that’s ALL you need to do!!!  Oh yeah and fill in the sentences too – that’s important.

1.The highlight of my Christmas was having Christmas Dinner with our neighbors…..being around them helped us be a bit less sad over our first Christmas without Sammy.
2 .My New Year’s resolution is adopting another cat (or maybe two?) from the same shelter where we got Sammy AND to try and lose some weight.
3.This year, 2016, has truly been tough – a lot of losses in the pet blogosphere and strangely I feel like I’ve aged a LOT more than just one year’s worth!.

4 Next year, 2017, WILL BE BETTER……we all want it to be, so let’s make it happen!!.

So there you have it – the final Fill-In of 2016………………we hope Ellen and Ann keep this up in 2017.   I think it’s been a great way to get to know each other better…….AND it’s a fun way to end every week too.

We’ll see all you FILL-IN fans next year………………………watch out 2017………………….

HERE WE COME !!

Love, Angel Sammy

  1. Good morning, Angel Sammy! Your Mom did a great job with the fill-ins. We’re so happy that your pawrents have wonderful neighbors, and especially so, this Christmas. We know that you will be guiding just the right kitty (or KITTIES) to adopt your pawrents when they decide the time is right. And we, too, are hoping that 2017 will be a happy year for efurryone.

  2. I like your mum’s answers, Sammy.
Adopting two kitties would be lovely. I know you were very happy being an only cat, but having two has a lot of advantages. I loved my brother so much and we did everything together. I have never really got over him leaving me behind.
My mum and dad love to cruise but won’t go now because as you know, I am not well. When they did go though, they worried all the time about me being lonely even though I had two holiday aunties that spent a lot of time with me. When Eric was here we kept each other company and didn’t take any notice of them going off. They did go the first time when we were only 6 months old, so we had always been used to it. Whether your mum and dad decide to adopt one or two, I know they will have a wonderful forever home, and I know you will be watching over them and helping with their choice.

    • I am going to spend some time looking for the right new family member(s) for Mom and Dad and they really DO need that. They are happy together but MORE HAPPY with a cat…..I know that you have missed your brother more than anyone could possibly know – you two were TWO HALFS OF A WHOLE………it’s like missing part of your heart. I do hope that the year ahead will be good for you sweet friend….don’t be in a hurry to join Eric as much as I’m sure you’d like to. Your Mum and Dad need you – like my Mom and Dad need a new cat – it’s just not “right” without a little companion to take care of!!! You hang in there buddy – and take good care of your Mum and Dad. OK?

  3. OH Sammy and Mom…I loved reading your answers to the fill-in. I was going to fill-in right here but I want to echo what Flynn said above me there. I hope so much that you do adopt two kitties. Even one. That would ease your hearts a bit and Sammy would have a paw in your choice(s). Happy New Year to come to you both. May there be joy and love not only with one another, but with a beloved fur family member that chooses you. xoxo

    • Thank you Katie – what a sweet thing to say……..Mom and Dad need a cat or two around here…..having had me as part of the family for almost 17 years left a HUGE HOLE when I passed on and they need to fill it. I’m looking for a likely candidate or two and hope within the next month that’s DONE! Happy New Year to you too – we hope you and your Mom have a wonderful year ahead!!

  5. Mom can totally relate to feeling like she aged way more than one year this year. For both of you it was probably the stress of dealing with sick kitties. We sure hope you can fulfill that New Year’s resolution sooner than later. Sending lots of love to all from everyone at our house. • HA! Well, I left it all behind for the next one to come along…..my snow sled, my red wagon and a ton of toys so whoever comes to live with Mom and Dad is “set for life” in the toy department!

  7. The general consensus seems to be that two cats would be good, and we agree. Tell Dad they will entertain each other. 🙂
We’re so glad your parents have some nice neighbors they could spend Christmas with to help keep their minds of their sadness. ♥

    • Yes – they are lucky to have fun neighbors….and I would love it if my Mom and Dad got two kitties – there were times when I’m sure I would not have missed them QUITE SO MUCH when they were gone overnight if I’d had a buddy to snuggle with!

  8. Adopting another kitty sounds like it would be a good thing. Good luck with the weight loss. I am trying to do the same thing. Have a Happy New Year.

  9. We were so happy to see you are resolving to adopt another cat or maybe TWO. We think Sammy would be pleased. The first Holidays without a beloved pet are the worst. Although you never stop missing them, this is the first Christmas that I haven’t been blue because of Whiskers, Charybdis and Arty Mouse. ~Mom Alasandra

    • Thanks for telling us that….Mom and Dad will be visiting the shelter soon – I think they want to get past this Christmas and my birthday before they feel they can “move on”…………!
