FILLINS

Time to do some “filling in” !

This is a wonderful and fun blog hop hosted by our friends 15andmeowing and McGuffy’s Reader.   We fill in the blanks on sentences they give us every week then hop around to see how everyone answered – we learn lots about each other that way so it makes it tons of fun.    Just click HERE to join in the hop!

Here are this week’s sentences AND our (I say “our” because I let Mom answer this week along with me!)……..my answers are in RED and Mom’s are in GREEN!

1. I love the following Christmas film(s) Muppet Christmas Carol, Polar Express, White Christmas, National Lampoon Christmas Vacation.

2. I don’t care for the following Christmas film(s) Scrooged, Christmas in Connecticut.

3. At the holidays, I cannot resist asking for turkey, EVERYTHING CHOCOLATE!!!!!.

4. A favourite holiday memory of mine is every Christmas I would lie under the tree and watch the lights and train, WATCHING Sammy enjoy being under the tree and watching the lights and train.

Thanks so much to both blogs for hosting this hop – it’s one that all of us love – we get to share “stuff” about each other and end our week with a BIG SMILE!

    • HAHAHAHA….fortunately we have no Griswolds OR relatives OR neighbors such as them. We are glad about that too…..My Mom is glad that my Dad doesn’t go up on the roof to staple lights to the shingles too or staple his shirt sleeve to the gutter…life is full enough of disasters anyway so we avoid disasters at Christmas!

    • Chocolate is a BIG PART of Christmas as Godiva is the TOP of my Christmas wish list every year! Santa has never let me down (so far). The Griswolds are the FIRST movie we watch every Christmas – we have tons of movies and can’t get enough of them even after all these years. Here’s to a happy Christmas for everyone…………complete with TRADITIONS!

  2. My wife loves Christmas movies. I try to be a good husband and watch them with her. So far we have recorded and watched about two dozen and Christmas is weeks away. I think I already have enough brownie points to last until next Christmas and we have yet to watch any of the classics.

  3. Hello Pammy and Angel Sammy ❤ My favourite thing about Christmas is wrapping gifts. I should start a business doing it but I'm too busy, LOL The Griswalds still make me laugh but my favourite Christmas movie is 'A Christmas Story' 1983….It's set in the '40's and Ralphie wants a bb gun. xo ❤

  4. Thank you both for participating in the fill-ins, nice answers. I somehow knew Polar Express would top your list Sammy. 🙂 And I know your Mom cherishes the memories of you enjoying the Christmas tree. XO

  5. Loved the fill-in’s you two!
I have two ultimate favorite movies. One is “It’s A Wonderful Life” and the other I always, always put in the player to watch while putting the lights on the tree: “White Christmas”. I know just about all the dialog by heart! I can’t even come close to saying that about any other movie out there. Ha. I also still enjoy the old animated “Frosty The Snowman” Jimmy Durante doing the narrating and “Rudolf The Rednosed Reindeer” narrated by Burl Ives. If I even hear the “Frosty The Snowman” song it makes me so happy! I’m a little kid like that still! So much so a few years back I was given both in DVD form so I’d never be without! 😉
Love all the food…especially the Christmas cutout cookies!

    • HA! I think I might know all the words to White Christmas too…….so many wonderful old movies for the holidays – most of the newer ones just don’t have that special touch the oldies have! We have all of these on DVD and watch them night after night leading up to Christmas (and now after too because we have so many!). An important part of our celebrating indeed.

I think it’s perfectly OK to be a little kid at Christmas no matter WHAT our age is! 😉

  7. Aww…I am so happy to see you with your wings! When George rang a bell on our tree last Friday, I thought of you. It made me cry, though. I know you are happy, but I know you are missed. Hugs.
Thanks for being a part of Friendly Fill-Ins! Hugs to you & Mom.

  8. Sammy, you are such a precious angel Santa cat. The memes really made us smile as well. Mom got started out okay this morning and got some Christmas things done, but now is in a funk again. It really is an up and down thing all day long. Your #4 answers made us happy and sad at the same time. Hope Mom Pam and Dad David can close their eyes and see you under the tree again, Sammy. Sending all of you oodles of love and prayers. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo and Mom Janet

    • It is an up and down thing and it seems that having the holiday here is an up and down part of it too…..Happy for the joy of Christmas but sad that the joy escapes us in moments of such sadness. But we will all get through it together – mainly because we MUST……Sending you all tons of hugs too!

  10. I think it would be fun to be able to nap under the Christmas tree or to lie down under it and look up at the lights, but I don’t think that I would fit nor would I be able to get back up from there. 🙂

Have a blessed day and a very Merry First Christmas at the Bridge, sweet Sammy!

    • Oh the Christmas train is way cool……..makes the “WOO WOO” sound and everything! Our old train even had smoke coming out of the stack and made a “chug chug” sound along with the bell……….very impressive!
