Bacon at the Bridge

Yes we have bacon here!

I have a different Bacon Saturday today of course because I am at the Bridge.   I am not yet allowed to share photos of things here but when I do I will show you the BACON SUITE which is where I am hanging my hat (and wings) when I’m not visiting my sweet Mom and Dad at home…..they need me a lot right now you know.  It’s all so new.

There are so many things I need to say but Mom is operating on “empty” right now so forgive me if I’m short with today’s post……………..we may have a few short posts before we get back in the swing……………but I will continue blogging for sure!

Thank you all for pawticipating in Easy’s COME FLY WITH ME blog hop yesterday – we had a bazillion places to visit and a bazillion notes to send out but let me again say THANK YOU to all of you and I had a super fun time.   I know it was a lot of work and I thank Easy, Madi and Dory for helping to make it “work”.

I’ll have my first breakfast here at the Bridge Breakfast Buffet tomorrow and I’ve been told to expect a BOUNTIFUL BACON BAR………oh boy – I knew I was gonna love it here.

  1. Thank you fur stopping by in Kansas and sharing bacon sammiches with us… I am sure “heavenly bacon” am sooo much better… Missing your multi-toes bunches and bunches.   10. They sure know how to welcome The King of Bacon up there. Keep an eye on your parents, S. Soon you will be able to help them find the perfect new kitty. Mom’s old dog, Smoki helped her find me. Then you will live in his tummy so your mom can still give you kisses.

    • Oh indeed dear Cupcake……I know all about living in the tummy as the before me cat Eddy lived in mine!! Mom and Dad will go to the shelter when they are ready and plan to adopt at least one maybe TWO kitties who need a home. That makes me happy. They do have a lot of love to give. Thank you for being my friend and I hope we will always be dear Cupcake………I’ll be keeping an eye on you!!!!!

    • Miss Layla your version and that graphic are BEYOND fabulous and Easy and I both had a blast just as you envisioned us – riding around the blogosphere having fun. Merlin was one of the first to hug me when I arrived at the Bridge yesterday morning. So amazing to meet my mentor.   12. Angel Sammy!!!! So we have BACON to talk about this morning… Yay! I hope my Z CAT meets you up there. She was a beautiful girl with green eyes. She would love you just as much as I do! Your Mom and Dad are missing you but they are going to be okay because we are going to all be here for them. I miss you, Sammy… I do. This post made me smile this morning. I couldn’t sleep so I came here and found this post and smiled… 🙂

    • Hi Miss Pix…..know what? I did that post quickly but I did it for my friends……because I wanted to say I was alright. I wanted everyone to know I’m still here……….I miss my Mom and Dad’s TOUCH but they are in my heart and I am in theirs and that’s what matters. Thanks for being there for Mom especially – her heart is broken but it will mend – I’ll make sure it does. Keep smiling – and tell CH that Angel Sammy says BACON IS IMPAWTANT!!!!!!

      By the way, I believe Z Cat was the pretty girl who gave me a big smackaroo on my cheek when I got up here yesterday – she misses you. So do I.

  15. Good morning, Sammy! Wow, did it do my heart good to see a post from you. Yesterday was such an emotional day for all of your furriends – and that doesn’t come close to how it was for your pawrents. I’m sure you know how much ALL of us thought about them yesterday after you crossed the Bridge. Enjoy that bacon, and we’ll be here, watching for your future posts (no matter how short or long).

    • Hi Sundae! Good morning from the Bridge…..it’s a beautiful place but I wish I was still with my Mom and Dad on my fleece blankie. I am trying to let them know I am WITH THEM as I am with all of my friends. Your Mom and Dad sent beautiful flowers to our house and it was such a sweet thing to do – there was even little baby Sammy stuffie kitty in the arrangement! I will be by your side always dear Sundae……

  19. Good morning my ginger Angel…I am totally jumping with all kinds of glee to hear there is a bacon buff-et (dad had a friend who pronounced a buffet. A buff-et,he was a Parrot head too so I guess he had Jimmy Buff-et in his mind)!

  28. I’m super glad you got to visit Anastastia Island (off St Augustine, FL) and see the big blue pond. The ocean is always relaxing and the sea breezes are divine. I am so glad you are ensconced in the Bacon Suite and are happy and fully well again. Please say hello to my beloved Abby & Gracie when you get the chance. We will keep purring for your Mom & Dad.   32. Sammy, Buddy, I want to warn you about a very cute but mean little girlcat up there named BooBoo (well, at least we *THINK* she’s up there & not, you know, in that other place). The Human loved her to death, but even she could see BooBoo was, shall we say, “unpredictable.” She’d be all sweet and pretend to love you and purr and purr but, man, Sammy, she’ll turn on you in a FLASH. She’s very tiny,about 5 pounds, and she’s a tabby, and she’ll try to lure you in with her wiles and she’ll bat her big eyes, But BE CAREFUL, Buddy, She’s kind of a menace. Forewarned is forearmed. XOXOXO

    HOL (Hissy Old Licorice) visited mes last night and told mes that yous is a great addition to RB FBI!!! (Rainbow Bridge Feline Bureau of Investigation)! He says that yous looks exactly like yous did in your prime and that yous is a most wonderful jumper! How wonderful that we don’t hurts any more when wes gets there.
    Mes so happy to knows that yous is doing wonderfully and mes sure that all the other cats and dogs who went over the bridge will takes the time to comes and welcomes yous! He says there is peoples there too – like my Granny – so there is lots of laps, pets, kisses and wand toy playing! Oh Yes! And all our favorite treats!!!

  36. It made me happy to see this post from you Sammy. Like everyone else, I will miss you so much, but I am glad you will still post from the Bridge. I am so glad that they gave you the Bacon Suite and that you can have unlimited bacon at the buffet.
    Of course you know everything we think and do now, so you know I am thinking of your mum and dad. They are very sad, but you gave them so many happy memories to help them through the hardest times. Love you always, Angel Sammy.

  38. Sammy and Pam,
    We are so sorry to hear that Sammy has crossed over the bridge. Mom knows how hard it is to lose those precious fur people. We’re very sorry that we are so slow in acknowledging this. Mom had a bad week and was in lots of pain so she didn’t turn the puter on for us. Now she’s got water in her eyes ‘cuz she’s sad. We will stick by her today and comfort her. She remembers all the wise and wonderful things Sammy said to us. She remembers how sad Sammy was when Shakespeare went over the bridge. We’re hoping Shakespeare was waiting at the bridge for Sammy to show him all around. We are sending lots of purrs and hugs your way, Pam.

  50. Angel Sammy, we were so delighted to share a spin on the ferris wheel with you here in Kansas. We also really enjoyed visiting all the posts where you were a guest. It was a very nice day.
