Today is Sunday Selfie Blog Hop hosted by our good friends Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head. We’ve been doing this for a long time and if you haven’t joined up before, now’s a good time! Mom used Lunapic to add some artsy effects to this portrait of ME – this is a “flashback selfie” – I was probably 2-3 months old. Even then I was showing off for the camera!
Awwwwwwww…………..well, you can sure see my magical tabby marking on my forehead – that “M” stands out!

The selfie is cute. Do you know why cats have the letter M on their forehead. The sory tells that Mohammed was sleeping wih his cat. Mohammed woke up, but didn’t want to disturb the cat sleeping on his robe, so he cut his robe so that a part of the robe was left under his cat. For thanking him, every cat has that letter M on their forehead.

WOW…..that’s a different version of the “Tabby M” mark than I’ve heard – the one I was told was that a little tabby kitten hopped into the cot in the Manger where Baby Jesus was laying in the cold and snuggled up to him to help keep the baby warm. Mother Mary thought it was such a sweet and kind gesture on the part of the kitten, she touched it’s forehead to bless it and ever since then, we Tabbies have an “M” on our little heads. So many sweet stories!

Hi Cupcake! Do you know the legend of the M on a Tabby forehead? If we had any room for more artwork she probably WOULD have done that with some of these cool effects we get BUTTT we are jam-packed with stuff on the walls. She does have one canvas print of me on her bedroom wall – me snoozing away with my big paws in front of my face. Perfect bedroom shot I suppose!
