Hello Bacon Fans!
It is I – your King – here to wish you a happy and hopefully bacon-filled Saturday! Are you curious about the title of today’s blog? GOOD……………….I’m thinking it might be a good idea to ensure that there is plenty of bacon for all of my loyal subjects (YOU) and my own personal household (ME, MOM, DAD, ME ME ME ME ME ME!) so that we never run short or heaven forbid run out of it in the future.
I was inspired in this idea by a graphic I received from my good pal Mauricio, one of the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head. Here it is – you will see why I am planning a garden!
YES! Who knew? My favorite variety too – CRISPY! So I’m going to get to work this afternoon planting……………………I’ve picked out a greenhouse:
I have a garden supervisor hired:
And a staff of helpers!
Oh – and we even have a GARDEN GNOME!!!!!!!!
So what do you think? They will begin planting today. Yes I know it’s not planting season but it’s a special greenhouse and it’s magic – the bacon seeds will produce the best darn crop of crispy bacon you’ve EVER seen!!!!

oh wow that’s a super idea to raise a bacon plant with seeds… are that plants called Baconias then? Maybe I should join the mama who bugs my dad since years for a greenhouse…

My Mom had a greenhouse many years ago – her then husband (#1) built it himself…..2×4’s and huge sheets of plastic – made shelves inside too….it worked GREAT and lasted well after her marriage to #1 ended (!!!) – maybe your Dad could make your Mom one????? Oh wait- what am I saying – that might turn into a DISASSSSTER!

hahahaha that was my first thought too… better not. butt they have cheaper greenhouse in our store, maybe such a thing will do it?… oh wait … there is the installation-part…so the mama better should cancel this dream from her wishlist…

Mauricio is volunteering to be your security, after all he is already director of security for CSU. He says he’d have time to add the greenhouse to his rounds. And as he has never eaten bacon, you won’t have to worry about him tasting.

Sammy, Mauricio says he would be happy to be security for the greenhouse. He thinks his experience as being director of security for CSU makes him the perfect candidate. As he’s never had bacon, you shouldn’t have to worry about him helping himself to your crop.

There are no rules for growing bacon from seeds. Of course it’s magical and you are just the magician to make it happen, S. And with that kitty gnome watching over it, what could possibly go wrong?

Excellent! I will need to make sure we’re growing a good crop so you and Flynn can come try it out before we do any distribution – it’s a horrible job but somebody has to do it (haha) so thanks for volunteering!

Great idea! And I think the helpers will be helpful. I have to say though, the little gray helper looks to be related to Suzie so I would keep an eye on that one! The garden supervisor makes me laugh!

Sammythose bacon seeds are more precious than gold! Wow I had no idea. You might need to double your security. If for any reason, you need to quickly rid yourself of evidence, I volunteer to be your bacon a tor! I love the Garden Gnome

Hmm….not a bad idea….however having never grown bacon before from seed, I wonder if they have “greens” – the WABBITS would eat those!!!!!

I don’t think there is any time of year that is NOT bacon seed planting time! With the greenhouse you can grow bacon all year long. We’re volunteering to help harvest!!!

Not only do I NOT get bacon this weekend, I barely get to see my human! She is running around to some film festival and I’m stuck here. She says that we have plans together next week (although apparently it still does not include bacon).

Miss Layla is the storm part of the hurricane that came up the coast from Florida? I hope you will be alright there………….we didn’t get any of Hurricane Hermione here but along the Virginia coast there was a lot of rain/wind and super duper high tides. We had two VERY breezy days but the sun was out. Please be careful and stay safe………..

Wow! A Bacon Garden! That would be so cool! Right now wes got Turkey Bacon! Mommy and mes had bacon and eggs for supper on Thursday night and mes ate a whole piece (in little bits a few at a time) Mommy was sort of impressed. She liked that I ate so much, but she was kind of choked that she only cooked 3 pieces…
