HELLO CLASS!!!!

 

Say – that was a pretty darn good Teaser don’t you think?   First it was INVISIBLE (hahaha) as while it showed up Monday night when Mom and I “previewed” my Teaser post, somehow it disappeared from my blog by Tuesday morning……we didn’t know that though until we started getting notes from you guys saying you couldn’t see the photo!    Mom went into panic mode – we figured out what the problem was and loaded it up AGAIN……….WHEW!    That means from now on, Mom is gonna TRIPLE check the post before it goes live.   No more boo boos otherwise SuzieQ is bound to call both me and my Mom GEEZER!

SO, first off we want to thank our Guest Teaser, Miss Janet and all the Kitties Blue from The Cat On My Head for the fabulous photo of the GRAYLYN INN, in Winston-Salem, NC.    Here it is:

The Graylyn is NOT in the Historic District, and is NOT in Old Salem – Miss Janet and her husband have stayed there and said it’s CLOSE to that area but NOT in that area……….I’m mentioning that because a few of you guessed Historic District or Old Salem (but didn’t mention Graylyn Inn) and because you were SO DARN CLOSE, you’ll get a special award.    HOWEVER, before I do that, I want to show you some interior shots Miss Janet sent us of this amazing Inn……….WHAT A PLACE!

I could go on all day about this beautiful property on 55 acres with a very interesting past BUT I’ll let you read it for yourself……………………….CLICK HERE and be sure to read the History of the Property and the Overview…………..oh – and take a peek around everything else while you’re there!   My Mom wants to go there – like NOW.    HAHA

The FIRST PERSON to guess Graylyn Inn, Winston-Salem, NC was CarolMayWY !!!!   YAY!!!!   You get this:

Then there were a few who guessed either “Historic District, Winston-Salem”, or “Old Salem” – but neither of those is correct – but still VERY CLOSE……………so those of you who guessed that will get this!

YEP – it’s a new award but will only go to people who are TRULY on the right trail and give an ALMOST CORRECT answer……….Kolytyi and Oliver and Calvin were VERY CLOSE but not right so they get this award and anyone else who I missed who ALMOST HAD IT!

SO, that new award probably won’t be given out very often but who knows…………you all are getting VERY GOOD at this Teaser stuff – I’m so proud of my Geography students!    See you all next week – I’ll try to have another STUMPER for you!
