Filling In on Fridays!

FILLINS

It’s that time again!   FRIDAY!   McGuffy’s Reader and 15andMeowing co-host this fun event every single Friday and we’re getting into the swing of it again this week…………..this week I thought I’d do the “filling in” myself instead of letting Mom do it…………..we certainly do have different thoughts on just about everything except maybe how wonderful PETS are – we agree on that one!

So, here are the four sentences to be “filled in” – and my fill-ins are in BLUE today!

Friendly Fill-Ins, Week 9, July 8, 2016:

1. Training my humans was easier than I expected.

2. Bucket list: 1. Celebrate my 17th birthday  2. Be in charge of bacon distribution when I get to the Rainbow Bridge some day 3. In my next life, I want to be lucky enough to be adopted by humans JUST like my Mom and Dad.

 3. I cannot believe I’ve been blogging since 2011 – where has the time gone?.
4. If I could stay here forever, I would love to!.

Now that was fun – and I’m going to head around to some of the other bloggers who pawticipate in this and see how THEY filled in!    You can join in you know – all you have to do is watch for the sentences to be posted on one of the host blogs (usually on the Thursday before) and fill in – join in the hop on their blogs – and that’s that…………..It’s amazing how much we learn about each other in an exercise like this……..Mom and I switch off (or sometimes answer together) every week.

Give it a whirl – it’s tons of fun…………………….Speaking of fun – I’m watching the cleaning crew right now – they’re whirling around the house like crazy people getting the place spic and span for another week……………I’m glad I can watch from afar………..I rarely get asked to do any cleaning these days – one of the joys of being OLD I think!

It’s exhausting just watching all this activity – YAWN – it’s inspired me to go find a nice cool corner for a nap……………a long one…………maybe lasting until dinner time!!!!!!

Happy Friday!

Hugs, Sammy

  1. Love the fill- ins Sammy. I loved your bucket list. Especially the bacon distribution part. You would be a natural and you could also be a taste tester…..Mmmm..
I also loved the kitty cleaning the plate….my way of cleaning and sampling the goodies.

  3. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins. I enjoyed your answers, but some made me sad- I don’t want to think about you leaving this world and I hope you make it to your 20th birthday at least. I like this new cleaning crew- they divide and conquer. Where can I get a crew like that? Have a nice weekend. XO

    • Oh I don’t want to make you sad but I am taking things slowly but surely and trying for 17 is a good “baby step”……if I could be healthy and happy until 20 I’d stay – – – !!! The cleaning crew was Mom and Dad this time – I’m thinking the Broomhildas need to come back next week. Mom and Dad poop out too quickly – they’re old!

    • Mom and Dad decided to handle the cleaning without help this week but about half way through they would have definitely welcomed the ‘Hildas because they got tired……old people just can’t clean with the same ENERGY that bulldogs can!

  5. Great fill-ins. We too would love to stay here forever. But when we see you at the rainbow bridge, a long long time from now for all of us, can we be part of your bacon distribution crew?

  6. We will help you celebrate.
Step one of our tote is naming. I call it the Spoilt Sammy Tote.
Step two is getting the materials and yarns. Got them yesterday,
Step three is cutting and felting. I plan to do that today.
(I am making 2 at the same time) ❤

    • Oh Miss Sharon….you made Mom’s eyes get leaky……you are so sweet….I love the name of the tote!!! You are just too kind for words but a few come to mind: generous, talented, caring, gracious to name a few. What a FUN thing to imagine how it will look when done. You and my Mom will be TWINS across the big pond carrying the most adorable Spoilt Sammy Tote to remind you of ME ME ME ME ME!

  7. I am sure our cat would answer that us humans are very HARD to train! LOL
Since we don’t allow him outside to wander at will, I am sure he is very frustrated with us — as his constant whining at the door suggests.

    • Most cats would say that humans are tough to train but after 16 years of trying, I think I’ve succeeded! Being an inside kitty is the SAFEST thing to be……..I only go out with harness/leash OR with Mom and Dad during daylight without leash. I don’t wander any longer anyway at my age – I know a good thing when I see it!

    • Christy I suppose you’re not the only one wondering how “generous” I’d be with my distribution of bacon if I was in charge……..honestly though I think I’d have access to so much of it, I wouldn’t need to “hoard” – I’d SHARE!!!!!!
