My Patriotic Selfie

For July 4th!

I had to wave a flag and hang a banner high to celebrate my country’s birthday and while I was at it, Mom and I put this Sunday Selfie together – I couldn’t possibly be more patriotic if I was Uncle Sam himself!     Happy Birthday America!

My Wins from Friends!

In the past few weeks I’ve been the very lucky recipient of two fabulous drawings for giveaways by my friends………………the first one was a wonderful Kitti Kubbi cat bed from Kitty Cat Chronicles which is one of the most amazingly crafted beds/hidey spots EVER.    I ordered it courtesy of Kitty Cat Chronicles on Amazon and the one I got was the teal/white one which is adorable!    Now this is NOT me sitting in this bed – Mom can’t seem to catch me IN IT when she has her camera……..but this guy models it so well on Amazon (don’t you love his expression) that I decided to let HIM show  it off anyway!

CATCUBBISAM

Here’s the descriptive info from Amazon:

The KittiKubbi is carefully handcrafted from 100% all-natural wool by artisans in Nepal. Using an ancient fabrication technique called felting, every cat bed is individually molded using only soap, water, and pressure. The cat bed is free from harsh chemicals and synthetic fabrics and is safe and non-toxic both for your furry friend and for the environment. The bed can be used as a cozy hideaway or flattened into a relaxing padded mat. KittiKubbi is durable and stays clean as wool naturally repels odor, dirt, and stains.

Thank you Miss Emily and everyone at Kitty Cat Chronicles………….I am beyond thrilled!

Then a week ago I heard from Miss Layla at Cat Wisdom 101 that my name was drawn at random to receive a prize package that we’d chosen out of the many Miss Layla was offering on her website……….we loved all the wonderful prize packages that were up for this “bonanza” giveaway but when she mentioned that Merlin loved the treats that were part of this particular giveaway package – well – I just HAD to try for that one and we won!   Just look at all the fabulous stuff that was in the box I got two days ago!

I was a little overwhelmed!

I was a little overwhelmed!

WOW! So many things came!

WOW! So many things came!

Thank you Miss Layla and Miss Emily – you made this old guy’s heart happy – getting two great prizes put a little ZIP in my step and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Thank You Friends!

Love, Sammy

      • Hi Sammy,
We did have a great 4th – and yes, with Warsteiner! 😉 Not lots of, though. We had great BBQs [posting with pics will come up soon]. But, as I said in a comment to your other posting: it wasn’t a quiet weekend for our feline crew, with too many young kids around. Well, now they can relax again.
        Enjoy your week,
        Pit

    • We think the Cuddle Clones are adorable but even at $100 off, Mom said “uh uh” and we went for the snackables! There’s also a cool round ball in a track toy that has a spot in the center for grass to grow! Mom is gonna start my seeds today. I’m a big grass eater.

How romantic that Astrid and Sampy can celebrate in the clone version next year at Blogpaws!!!!!! Have a wonderful 4th……………..also Mau, you need to give me a date for your bachelor “do” at Scouts!!!!!

      Hugs, Sammy

  4. Wow, Sammy. You are one lucky cat. We think those beds are so cool and when we need a new one, Mom wants to get one of those. We won the $100 off a Cuddle Clone from KCC. Mom is going to have Astrid cloned. Next year her clone and the Sampy clone will celebrate their first anniversary together at BlogPaws. You are looking both dapper and patriotic today. And, of course, handsome as well. Have a safe 4th. Thanks for hopping! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  7. Happy Birthday America from your Australian cousins. We love everything you stand for. Most of all FREEDOM. Freedom of speech, freedom of dress, freedom to eat and drink what we chose and frredom to express ourselves without fear of repercussions.
That is two GREAT giveaways dear Sammy and felting is an amazing and very beautiful techique.
PS. 😀 The first recording of felting comes from John The Baptist, who had to travel long distances, quickly and on foot to Baptize people. The story goes, he lined his sandals with sheep wool. The action of movement, pressure and moisture on the raw fleece produced this awesome product which could be cleaned and shaped (sometimes with a needle as in needle felting) we know now as FELTING.
When you have time have a google image at “needle felted ginger amigurumi cats” and be VERY CAREFUL you don’t swoon of cuteness as I did. 😀

    • Oh Miss Sharon you were RIGHT – that needle felted technique (especially the ginger amigurumis!) is amazing……….do you do that too? Felting is a wonderful thing and this kubbi is so soft and perfect and flexible…..We had no idea John the Baptist was the first to felt – how smart he was to make comfy shoes!

We are proud to be Americans even if we do seem to go off the rails once in a while, we are still FREE…………and we still want to STAY that way!

  8. Oh Sammy, you hit pay dirt. That was so nice of Miss Emily and Miss Layla. This bed sounds intriguing to us. Canada Post is about to strike so I won’t be sending away for anything for awhile.
