We Remember……………

Welcome to our Memorial Day Cookout…………….my friends Gracie and Raz and I hope you enjoy yourself while you’re here!   While we remember the reason for this holiday and what it really means, we also find that we just naturally want to be with our family and friends to enjoy each other’s company for time moves so quickly, and we should enjoy the moments we are lucky enough to spend together!    That’s why we’re having this cookout – so we can have food, fun and share memories as well as MAKE new memories!

First of all I do hope you like the location we picked for us to have our cookout…………….we have a beautiful spot along the water in a nice park where they have all kinds of things to do and see……….but mostly it’s just peaceful by the river.  Let’s start off our day together with some yummy breakfast – what do you say??

Now we can do whatever we wish – play volleyball anyone?   How about a dip in the pool?   Work up a bit of an appetite because before you know it the BBQ grills will be hot and we’ll be putting goodies on to cook – BBQ, burgers, hot dogs, sausage and there’s baked beans and all kinds of desserts!    The BIGGEST surprise I have for you though in the food department is that my buddy Raz and our mutual friend Pete have brought their famous (to Cat Scouts!) FISH FRY TRUCK to the park and anyone who wants the very BEST of fresh seafood, make sure and visit them because they’ve got it all!!!!!

    • We have some good foodables “virtually” with the blogs today BUTTTTT we hope to have some good stuff later if the weather cooperates. We had rain yesterday evening and overnight but right now it’s partly cloudy and the sun is peeking out! ENJOY YOUR MEMORIAL DAY!

      • We have no idea what we are going to eat today. I think we might be fooded out. I guess we will see what the day brings. Maybe just some deviled eggs, something green, and CH’s grilled potato slices. I feel pooped this morning!!! Hope the weather is good to you. It was a beautiful day yesterday and today looks to be a repeat with the weather.

    Happ Memorial Day and thanks for the great virtual putting. We are so soggy here no way we will be having any kind of outing. Almost. 2″ of rain since yesterday this time

  18. we will remember all heroes today… and we send a hug to those who are still there … and we will bring them some flowers soon when we visit omaha beach… Have a good memorial day and I wish you a ginat steak wrapped in bacon :o)

  19. We had our Holiday last Monday, here in Canad, but really, isn’t every day a holiday for us cats. We’re so glad the fish fry truck is back!! You always put out the best noms!! Enjoy your holiday Sammy and Miss Pam 🙂

    • I bet Raz and Pete will bring that fish truck back permanently to Scouts………there is a BIG Welcome Summer fish fry scheduled on the sidebar at Scouts – make sure and go – I think it’s June 20th???

  21. May mee com fur thee Bar BQ Unccle Sammy? Mee wood like a bit of bacon an sum tuna fish frum thee fish truck….Wee not have this holyday. Ladymum says shee finks of thee Vietnam soldiers who nevurr made it bak frum that War. Shee told mee she used to rite to a furamillee whose Son was MIA back when shee was a preteen. Mistur Lonnie nevurr came home an shee was so sad….an shee still finks of him on these speshell dayss……

    • My Mom has explained to me about war…….I don’t understand why humans have to do things like that as it’s just awful and sad. But we just keep our humans as happy as we can and hope that one day – war is GONE FOREVER. Meanwhile, please join us for our Memorial Day picnic honoring those who serve.
