Such a lovely couple they are…….AND when they’re not arguing over who’s doing a better job of cleaning, they are quite nice really.  I’m getting used to them (what’s that say about me?!).   Today they showed up with a surprise though…………when I opened the door to let them in, they had a little something with them!

Their regular babysitter couldn’t make it to their house today so they had to bring their baby along………….A baby broom!   I asked what his name was and just then the phone rang so I never got the answer……maybe they named him “Whisk” since he’s a small Broom?   Naaaa……couldn’t have.

Anyway, they got to work right away round here…………………….

Before I knew it, they were packing up their cleaning stuff and were out of here……….so I don’t know what their kid’s name is!     Bobby?  Bongo?  Bruiser?  Barney?  Baby B?   Bubba?  Maybe I can ask them next week when they come.

Well that’s the excitement around here today – I’m guessing that no matter WHAT’s going on at your house, it’s more FUN than my house is today.   Yep……I’m guessing it’s the truth!

  1. oh boy… that was brave to work with broomsticks and cleaning tools on furryday the 13th… we decided to do nothing today… not that we are superstitious, butt the karma in my crib screams for a lazy day :o)

  2. Good morning, Sammy! Your post gave us a couple of chuckles this morning: “Whisk broom” (some young whippersnappers won’t even know what that is!), loved the kitty bed/jeans picture, and the bacon thought is so true!

    • Sadly we have RAIN RAIN and more RAIN today with no hope for sun – BUT that means some good napping weather! Cleaning is over and I made it through…..whew! Whisk will be back with his Mom and Dad next Friday too because their babysitter is on vacation.

        • The weather gurus certainly have a tough time keeping up with predicting this stuff for all of us don’t they? It’s constantly changing and constantly WEIRD….what’s with weather you can count on???????

  8. When my PawPaw was alive, I did not like our Broomhildas, even though they are very nice and love dogs. After PawPaw died, I did an about face. Mama says PawPaw didn’t like a lot of people, and since he and I were home together, I was just picking up on his vibe. Now if people don’t acknowledge me, I bark to set them straight! Then they pet and fuss over me, and we can move on.

    • Good for you changing your behavior after your PawPaw died – we ARE sensitive to our humans feelings it’s true……so now that you can make your own mind up about things, you’re getting along OK with your Broomhildas! YAY!

  11. Mom loved your little joke about naming their boy, Whisk, because he’s a little broom. She’s still giggling. So glad you survived cleaning day, ours is tomorrow, maybe we’ll come and hang out at your place Sammy, maybe right around the time bacon is served 🙂

  13. Awww…the Broomhilda’s baby is a cutie. I wish you could send them all my way. I would rather lose 9 minutes for every slice of bacon and enjoy it than have 9 more minutes and no bacon.Now I want bacon 🙂 XO

    • Believe it or not, the Broomhildas are busy bulldogs…..they have a lot of cleaning contracts…..Mom says it proves “looks aren’t everything” …..HAHAHAHAHA

  25. We think Whisk sounds like a great name. We have a little one that here and we think we have heard Mom say it is Whisk too. She uses it to clean out the car:)

    • Oh I think you and Katie are two girls on the prowl having a ball and probably could use the Broomhildas cleaning services before Katie’s Mom finds out! On the other hand, I think she owes a PAR-TAY to Katie since she recently deserted her for a while to visit Katie’s brother so you girls PARTY HEARTY!
