Howdy Friends!    It’s Saturday finally……………………and another chance to talk about BACON (as if we need an excuse!).

I know most of you follow Madi’s Blog HERE and saw her post about the strange visitors in her friend’s neighbor’s yard last week?????    Well, it got me thinking about the convenience of a bacon-lover like me if you had HOME DELIVERY of fresh bacon every week………….this would be FRESH right?   Her friend looked out her window and saw THIS:

Now Madi’s Mom’s friends live in a somewhat rural area but no pig farm next door – – – they have NO IDEA where these doods came from but obviously they are loving the garden.   I’m thinking “FRESH BACON HAS ARRIVED!!!!!!”.

Anyway, it’s Saturday and indeed we are having bacon here at my house but not from anything we found in our front yard……..it was in our refrigerator!

Never fear little guy – there’s an abundance of bacon in the refrigerator so you’ll get yours!

One thing we DO have a shortage of though is SUN.   It’s been days and days and days.  I’m covered with green algae and moss (well, not really but you get the idea).

The rain just isn’t stopping!!!!!   Things might get DRASTIC around here…….

No worries with me – at least I won’t tip the boat over because I’m skinny – not like this porky guy!

Well I guess I shouldn’t complain – imagine if we had two weeks worth of WET days in the winter!   We’d be in BIG TROUBLE with snow!   Maybe I’d better shut my mouth and be happy about the rain………..even if it’s tough.

P.S.   Remember May 10th is “Wags and Waves for Forrest Day”………..a tribute to the pup from Down Under who left us for the Bridge so recently – Bev Green’s family brought home Forrest’s angel ashes today – we’ll wave and wag to Forrest on Tuesday.    By the way, even though I will be having a post for that occasion, I will ALSO have a Teaser post.   You asked for it – you got it!

    • Hi Easy! Imagine waking up to fresh bacon in your front yard! WOW……I hadn’t thought of that but indeed, someone signed up for Amazon premium and got some premium cuts of bacon as a thank you gift! I’m about to have some bacon right now in fact – pancakes and bacon for breakfast here!

  3. I would be very scared to go out if those piggies were in my yard. Unless they were the friendly kind, like our buddy, Bacon. Otherwise, they’d be as scary as the cats that hide under cars and try to kill me. When I smell them there, I turn to stone. Mom says I need to toughen up.

    • Oh Cupcake…..I don’t blame you for being “WARY” of critters when you’re out for a walk…………..OR, for worrying about pumpkins in hallways that might be wild and grab you as you walk by – we all need to be on the alert when we’re out of our comfort zone – even if we have our Mom with us! I’d be afraid of piggies in my yard too – probably just as afraid as I was of the bear that we once had in our yard!

  6. Oink oink, MOL Sammy! Mom asked her friend if they could arrange for a fresh bacon delivery in September when mom and dad will be visiting!
    Update the animal control was called…and finally they figured our those piggies walked some distance through dense woods. I guess the piggies were going to the market! Mol Mol
    Mom’s friend lives on a dead end cul de sac that is dense w woods! Anyway the pig’s owner didn’t they had gotten out of their piggy enclosure!

    • It’s just so hilarious – imagine waking up to pigs in the yard………..If you lived right next door to someone who raised them then MAYBE you could see this once in a while but not when it apparently was a traveling band of pigs wandering looking for a good garden to raid! Anyway, thanks for letting me use the photo – I just love it to bits!

  19. Sammy, you cracked us up when you called the pudgy cat in the boat “porky.” We get lots of critters in our yard, but pigs would really be a surprise. Many years ago it would not have been, as the neighbors who lived across the street from us had Pot Belly pigs in their front yard. The neighborhood had to take them to court. Pigs are not allowed in the city, but it still took a court order to get them moved to the country! Anyhoo…so happy you got your bacon.     • I loved that picture of the cat in the boat…..some years ago that could have been ME but now I’m skinny-minny! Yes I thought having a bacon delivery to the front yard would be my dream come true but then Mom reminded me they are ALIVE and I couldn’t eat them anyway! We always thought pot belly pigs were cute but wouldn’t really want our neighbors to have them either!!! They can be just a bit stinky! HAHAHAHA

      • Mee will wait til Katurday fur more bacon….
        Fur now mee iss on Purr-amedic duty. Mee iss ‘on’ inn thee mornins’ an then around 5 Pee Em an then mee can nap til 10 Pee Em an watch LadyMum til shee goess to bed.
