Ok peeps – I promised some “baby garden” shots and this is it…………Mom snuck out between raindrops yesterday and snapped some of our “babies” in their pots – remember these are newly planted SMALL plants but give me a month or two and WHAM BAM THANK YOU SAM, they will be much bigger and prettier (I hope).

I did a slideshow for you – easiest way to show things off don’t you think?

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

So I’ll do an update in a month or two – things will be considerably larger (we hope) and still alive (or else!).

I was so thrilled to see SO MANY of you bloggers “reblogging” Sharon of Gentle Stitches’ blog post about the special day for Forrest on May 10th………………..word is spreading like wildfire and I expect it will be a BANNER day.    Remember if you post a “WAG” or “WAVE” photo to Forrest that day to use the poster and if you want to, link it to All Fur One And One Fur All (Bev Green’s blog)so people can click and go leave her a message.

Thanks everybody for leaping on board this idea………………Bev is gonna love all the wags and waves to Forrest on the 10th!

Love, Sammy

    • My Mom only has three of those Chinese pots – she thinks she got them at KMart a bazillion years ago. She LOVES them !! Mom forgot to take a photo of the other pot of red geraniums across from this one at the top of the porch steps but we figure you’ve seen one geranium, you’ve seen them all…HAHAHAHA

    • I’m not surprised the Christmas cactus has no idea it’s NOT winter…….but I don’t mind – I just love when it blooms no matter WHEN it is! Glad you liked the slideshow!

  6. I look at your front yard bed and I think it is our front yard bed, only thing different is CH did a dry creek in it for run-off. Love all your pictures! I vowed not to plant things in pots this year because the squirrels dug up ALL my pots last year and they were a lot of WORK! Love your front porch!

    • Those pesky squirrels!!! I leave my empty pots (with soil still in them) on the front porch over the winter and it never fails that come Spring when I’m planting new stuff in them I dug up a lot of acorns (!!) so I’m thinking the squirrels only use my pots in winter – they’ve never dug up anything during Spring and Summer (thankfully!). So we have “TWIN BEDS” huh? HAHAHAHAHA I love our front yard bed now that it’s loaded with perennials – I don’t have to do a THING with it but watch it every year…..lovin’ those perennials!

  7. Feliz Cinco de Meow, Sammy! Your garden and pots look lovely. Mom thinks those yellow begonias are really nice. She’s done some planting, but she has lots more to do. It’s pouring rain today so everything is getting a nice drink. Mau says that he’ll see you at Scout’s later this evening. • My Mom loves begonias but the Reigers look so much like little roses they’re her favorite. This rain is just going ON AND ON AND ON……we might get a break on Sunday finally! Happy Cinco de MAU (tee hee).
