Yep – cleaning the house has priority on a Friday BUT I’m still waiting, waiting, waiting for my lab results on the blood work too. Cleaning and waiting – sounds like a law firm……”Good Afternoon, Cleaning and Waiting, how may I direct your call?”……..HAHAHAHA
Anyway, Mom and Dad have a couple of things to do this morning that will put cleaning on hold briefly – Dad is going in to sign the tax forms which are done AND Mom is dropping off the PC in the computer shop for the new CD/DVD drive installation! This time I won’t be missing for DAYS – we have the new laptop so life will go on in the Kimmell household even though the PC is in the shop!
YAY!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday was an amazing day – we really did have a touch of REAL LIFE SPRING. I know it won’t last – it’s too early for it to last – but it was just plain GORGEOUS. Seventy-four and sunny and Mom got the lawn tractor out for the first time and did a turn around the yard. The lawn looks like “****” (if you get my drift), but there were some long tufts of “sort of” grass and a lot of leaves and now it’s at least cleaned up! GO MOM! She loves riding that thing – I was waiting for her when she came back inside all dust covered from the dry dirty back yard where she probably shouldn’t have driven but did. So – Spring is arriving. Our Bradford pears are blooming – that’s a sure sign there is HOPE! As soon as there’s something pretty to show I will but right now – it’s still pretty BARREN out there.
Too early for azaleas but never too early for sidewalk cruising!
I’m ready for the Easter bunny…………………..he never lets me down – just like Santa – always on time and always makes me smile……………………he recycles my basket – has used the same basket for 16 years now. But there’s always something FUN in it on Easter morning – not a boring old egg!!
Don’t ask me where my 2014 basket is………Mom forgets to name photos LOGICALLY sometimes!
Anyway, I hope you’re ready for Easter if you celebrate it………………………..I’m just READY FOR BACON tomorrow! I’ll also be BRAVE when the cleaning starts today – honest I will!

Pee Ess The waiting is now over – the vet called before this post went live so I can report that I have to UP my dose of thyroid meds (whaaa) – two whole pills a day vs. 1-1/2 pills a day. I’ll do my best…..after all, Mom gives me my pill in baby food which is pretty nommy so maybe it won’t be so bad….maybe.

Hi Cupcake! Mom loves her tractor mower……not as she loves ME of course but a lot. As for baby food – maybe the reason babies taste good is because they eat baby food? Never thought of that…..baby food is delicious though – my current favorite with my pill is BEEF. Ham is also yum…..no wonder babies like baby food.

Well Katie my dear I’ve lost quite a bit of weight with the thyroid thingie BUT it’s helped with my arthritis being slimmer and trimmer. I just shouldn’t lost much more weight the vet says. Mom gets a little leaky eyed when she feels my backbone these days!

My Mom asked the vet about my weight loss and he didn’t seem too concerned BUT he said if I start refusing to eat anything to bring me in right away……..I really don’t eat much – just Fancy Feast kibble and treats. No more wet food……….I know – I need to do better right? I hope your increase helps you eat better Flynn. Our humans NEED us!

My Mom and Dad tried using the push mower the first Spring and Summer we moved to this house after it was built and there was no way – too much to do. Took my poor Dad 3-4 hours. The lawn tractor was bought the very next year and Mom immediately adopted it as her best buddy. She loves riding it around………!

I just read your update about your pill dosage… not fun but I know your Mom will make it as easy as she can and you will be a good Ginger Boy and get it all down. We’re sorry you have to up the dosage but at least you get to have the nommy baby food with it!! Poor Ellie just gets her stuff squirted in her mouth every night. Sometimes she (and Mom) wear a lot of it!!!

I hope you can manage that two pills per day buddy… you will probably get more yogurt that way :o) Can you go back to one once when the t-lever is better or do you think you will stay with two? I f you need a jockey for the lawn tractor once, please ask my dad… such a tractor is his greatest wish, but even he knows that my back yard is too small for such a ride…

My vet says at this point and at my age, probably the numbers won’t go down but we dont’ want them to go UP AND UP either! I’m trying to be good taking two pills a day. Hoping that will do the trick! Mom loves her lawn tractor – she is a champ at it too…..if Dad says “I’ll mow the lawn for you” she says NO WAY BABY! She loves driving it around the yard……sorry your Dad can’t have one of these fun toys for mowing!

I hope your meds are still good in the yummy baby food. My vet upped my pred too when I was losing so much weight. I take 1 in the morning and 1 1/2 in the evening. He would have preferred to put it up to 3 pills a day but is afraid I would become intolerant to them like everything else. It seems to be working at the moment.

My vet is worried about me taking more too – as long as I eat I think he’s happy but as you know, with our heart murmurs, the more meds the tougher things get with our old tickers too! I’m glad you’re OK my friend – let’s stick together OK?

Oh I hope your Mom is OK…..my Mom takes thyroid medication just like me although she’s hypothyroid and I’m hyperthyroid……I’m sorry your Mom has to have her thyroid glands removed though!!! I’m being good so far with the extra pills too – more baby food isn’t too tough to handle. As for my Easter basket – it’s all ready for Mr. Bunny to fill up tomorrow!

My Mom takes thyroid stuff too but I don’t think hers taste as icky as mine – OR, if they DO taste icky she doesn’t notice – just down they go with water. Sigh. I guess I just have to complain about SOMETHING so I’m using pills as my excuse (hahaha).

I had my full extra pill last night like a champ Siddhartha – I know I have to do it even if I don’t like it. In life, we have to do things we don’t like sometimes. We had a nice day yesterday but it’s cold again today. At least no snow like you have had – ICE is even worse!!! Be careful………

Mom does love her laptop but the touchpad is tough getting used to – she tries to delete one thing and accidentally deletes ten. HAHAHAHA Anyway, I’m being good so far taking the extra half a pill at night……in fact now Mom doesn’t have to crush that second pill into two halves – just crush and mix with baby food and VOILA – DONE.

Ya know what? I can STILL taste the icky pill even when Mom mixes it up really good and crushes it up into dust – it tastes awful and Mom always gives me another big dollop of “unpill” stuff after I eat the pill part. It helps take the bad taste away. Someone needs to make medicines taste GOOD so all of us will like taking them!!!!!
