TEASER-PRETEASEMONDAY

Howdy!   So we have been digging out from under our version of “SNOWMAGEDDON” and are finally down to the sidewalk pavement and driveway tarmac.   The rest is up to the guys who are hired to keep the main roads cleared.   Which means we have no idea when we’ll actually be able to drive the cars down our beautifully cleared driveway onto the street and go somewhere!

Our hero!

Our hero!

Meanwhile, who cares……we’re safe and warm AND today is the day before the Teaser so that’s all that matters!    We do hope everyone who was I the path of Jonas, the Blizzard of 2016 is alright.

So wanna know some details about tomorrow’s Teaser?   The only thing I’m gonna tell you is that it’s a Guest Teaser.  So there.   No hints…..none……you’re on your own!     Will you be ready?  Oh I’m SURE you will……….like my pal Easy over in Brittany, I’m sure you’ll be studying your maps, brochures, and atlases to bone up on your geography so when the photo pops into your computer tomorrow you’ll say “I KNOW IT!!!!!!” and you’ll maybe be FIRST RIGHT GUESSER!    Here’s what’s up for grabs:

If you’re the first to comment on the blog (and you don’t even have to GUESS for this one!):

First Commenter!

If you’re the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER:

SO, you know you wanna be ALERT tomorrow morning because who the heck knows when Mom has the post scheduled?  I sure don’t – I’m the LAST to know stuff around here (well, maybe Dad is actually LAST but I’m close to last).    I’ll see you all tomorrow WHENEVER OK?   OK!

Be ready……..these guys are!

I'll be looking for you!

    • Oh Easy I would LOVE to be somewhere sunny………We did have sun here yesterday but surrounded by feet of snow it’s just not the same is it?!?!?! GOOD LUCK WITH THE TEASER TOMORROW! Maybe Mr. Giant Frog can help?

  1. We have only ventured out a little bit into the snow to walk around and see what’s going on. The snow removal guys did good work. Today Mom will test out the roads. I’ll wait here and watch out the window.

    • Please tell your Mom to be VERY CAREFUL! It’s super duper icy even with the snow gone. Mom and Dad can’t get out onto our road yet thanks to the drifts of snow but we’re not in a hurry to go anywhere – YET!

  2. Glad you are all keeping warm! I hope they soon come and clear your roads so your mum and dad can get out and about again. It is lucky that we don’t usually get much snow here because we live down a single track country lane and they don’t grit or anything here. A few years ago we had a lot of rain, then it froze, then all the run off from the fields kept freezing on top. In the end the ice was about 10 inches thick, and the tractors were the only vehicles that could get up or down in reasonable safety. My dad had to go everywhere in his big tractor!

    • Oh Flynn my Dad would love to drive around in a big tractor!!!! The only thing we have is a small lawn tractor though! Darn! Our driveway is nice and clear but the roads are still snowbound. Mom and Dad will be in the house until they do the roads that’s for sure. The drifts are four or five feet high. Dad cleaned off my front porch and sidewalk so I can now go outside a little bit – I’m happy!!!!!

    • Yep that’s an old photo of Pop – this year he was plowing in a blizzard – he looked like a “snow terrorist” with a black hood over his face and twenty layers of clothing – it was just awful out there! Mom couldn’t even get outside long enough to get a photo of him!

    • HA! Actually Dad has an old bobsled in our basement that he’s never used since he and Mom moved here ……. our front yard is GREAT for sledding but Mom and Dad don’t have the energy to pull the sled back up to the TOP of our yard after riding DOWN! HAHAHA

      • Well, they really should pull the sled up so that you can ride it down again! 😉
Oh my, I’m remembering my childhood, when we had lots of snow in my town and we could ride the bob sled. What fun it was!

      • Yes – through my iPad. Daddy was having problems sitting in silence and conversing with us anipals – rolls piggy eyes. He’s such a lightweight. So we turned on the travel channel connected through the iPad and listened to different shows… of course mom and me looked at the pretty pictures too. XOXO – Bacon

  5. That had to be a lot of very hard work for your Dad. And now that city crew better not fill the driveway up with more heavy snow. Jonas was a rough one.

    • I’m so sorry Ladymum is still not well Siddhartha…..but you’re taking very good care of her – sometimes no matter how hard we try to take care of our humans, they manage to not feel well ANYWAY!

  7. Look at it this way. Your dad got a chance to use the snowblower this year. That amount of snow will disappear in no time my friend. The snow you have is the nice white first fall type of snow. Our snow banks have ice and dirty ice and snow on them and look yucky.

    • Yucky snow is truly ICKY……we hate those big piles of snow on the highway that are black with sand/dirt and stay that way for so long before they FINALLY melt! Ours is nice and white so far – not bad to look at but we’re tired of being trapped in the house!
