BABY IT’S COLD OUTSIDE!
Hello and Happy COLD Friday – well, at least it’s COLD here in Virginia – not sure if it’s cold where you are but since it IS so cold, Mom and I thought we’d take a peek courtesy of Mr. Google and find some “interesting” ways we keep warm……………and there are a lot of them believe me. This is just a small sampling!
I love these! ALL of them………..do you have a favorite?
I myself have been doing the FLEECE THING………..I also recently got a “reflective heat” fleece covered mat which so far I’m ignoring (Mom got it for me thinking I’d like it!)…..but there’s HOPE for it because I’ve WALKED across it twice so that means at least I’m “testing” it. Anyway, we have friends who have them and love them so Mom said “WHY NOT!?”.
What do you do to keep WARM? Hug your human? Cuddle up with a fur sibling (I don’t have one!)?
Whatever you do, do it because winter is only just beginning and we’ll have lots of super cold days ahead………………….BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Well in my case I just thump my foot and keep thumping, makes a lot of of noise I can tell you but if I had a loud meow like you hehehe she would get it all the time…. Hehehe xx Speedy

Gah! That cat on the radiator! Yikes! I usually cuddle with Mom if she stays still for a while, or with one of my toys. The thermal reflective blanket sounds good. Maybe you’ll try it soon, S.

It took us a while before we used our warming blankie but, once we did, we love it.
We love the photo of all the ginger tabbies cuddled up together!

Shivers cousin. It is cold these days. We love the kitty in the boot – cute as a button that one. As far as us keeping warm – we anipals hang out in front of the fireplace. And Houdini got an electric heat mat for Christmas. We all take turns using that too. Or we get on mom’s chaise – she keeps a furry blanket on there. We cuddle up to it when she’s not home – sshh don’t tell her. Snorts. Happy Friday! XOXO – Bacon

OH WOW! Samantha is rather spherical BUT I for one appreciate a pretty full-figured lady! HAHAHAHA…….although I admit, “spherical” is a nice way to describe her!!!!! I hope she has lots of nice sun puddles to keep warm in – I wish I had one today – it’s cold and icky outside!

Hi Charlie! You’re smart to go for the bed heaters – I bet that’s super cozy especially UNDER the covers! Conrad probably is plenty warm in his coat if he’s going to be outside for any long time. I’m not going out except for a minute or two for fresh air on the porch then RIGHT BACK INSIDE! Stay warm!

Oh I bet the ferals are confused. We have our heated cat house on the front porch for whoever stops by for a warm-up but I do worry about all the ones who don’t know about our heated house and our other shelters on the porch.

Well, I do something a bit strange (although what IS strange for a feline, exactly?!) My human dad made the mistake of putting his laptop (soft) case over the heat vent many many months ago. Now it’s MINE, all MINE – mostly because they could never get all my fur off of it! How kind of him, huh??

I sleep under the duvet, or sometimes I stretch out in front of the fire. My favourite is night time when my mum puts her big furry dressing gown on and I like to snuggle up with her. I am only a lap cat when she is wearing it.

Bacon and flounder soup sounds YUM. I’ll put a good word in with Mom on that one! I can’t lie on the heat register in our kitchen because it’s right where Mom walks and I’m afraid she’ll squish me accidentally SOOOOO I stay on my fleece blankie (thank you very much) until she LANDS in a chair, then I get lap time. Now you’re talkin’!!

I love all the photos. My favorite way to keep warm, of course, is in mom’s lap. When that’s not available, I like laying in front of the heater but it doesn’t stay on all the time. Then I have to go find a warm kitty bed to snuggle in. Sure wish we had some sun puddles!

We haven’t seen the sun here in a few days and I always miss it when it disappears. I love them – they are a good “second best” for heat too when Mom’s lap isn’t available!

It has been chilly-for-L.A. type chilly here, but my human keeps shooing me away from the floor heater because she says it’s not good for my coat! My breeder actually keeps it fairly cold in her home because heat dries and thins out kitty fur – not good for shows! My human refuses to go that far, though.

I like the radiator, Sammy! But it does get hot and now I am slightly errr larger I overflow a bit MOL I only ever go on Mum’s lap when she is on her own, so no one sees I am being a bit soppy! 😉

You might like the new fleece/velour blankie after it’s washed for the first time. Sometimes I don’t like the store smell from something new until Mom washes it then I claim it as MINE MINE ALL MINE! So glad you and Ladymum are doing some good snuggling lately – that’s the BEST part of winter!
