Can It Be True?
Today is the last bacon before Christmas?
Yes my friends………this time next week there will be NO presents under my tree – everything will have been opened on Christmas morning…….things may or may not still be under the tree that were opened and left in their boxes. I will be enjoying my first “post Christmas bacon breakfast” just like today I’m enjoying my last “pre Christmas bacon breakfast”.
Maybe this is what Mom will fix me for breakfast? A Christmas tree full of bacon as one final BIG Christmas present? Oh I should be so lucky. One thing better NOT happen and that’s THIS:
This morning there’s no problem though because even as you’re reading this, I’m smelling bacon cooking in the kitchen. I WILL have it today………………..!!!
Funny the kinds of things that pop up when you google “Christmas Bacon”…………there’s apparently a whole lot of Christmas tree ornaments for bacon fans – I’ve already added THAT to my Christmas list for next year. There were even photos of bacon garlands for Christmas trees…..now that might be a bit much. Even for ME! And I even saw (are you ready for this?) bacon after shave lotion………..imagine walking down the street and having every cat in the universe trailing after you like the Pied Piper because you smelled like a big slab of bacon thanks to your after shave?!?!

Well, anyway, the new STAR WARS movie is finally out so this graphic that I’ve used a lot over the past year is definitely “IN SEASON” now – – – – – enjoy all you Star Wars fans (who also love bacon):

It is hard to believe that by next week Christmas will be over. All that preparation and it goes by so fast. I hope you get a bacon tree like that. I am looking forward to bacon wrapped breadsticks, an appetizer someone brings over Christmas Eve. XO

Oh ANYTHING in bacon is good……I’m sure I won’t have a bacon Christmas tree but I’m also sure we WILL have some bacon at some point because Mom does spoil me (obviously!).

The Merry Crispness graphic is pretty good. Mom seems to remember sending you a bacon ornament last year. Lily is the only one at our house who has ever had any bacon, and that has only been recently. Mom thinks she let her try it ’cause you talk about it so much. She’s a 16-year-old like you, so Mom figured what could it hurt. Mom says bacon after shave is just silliness. She would rather our dad smelled like chocolate. MOL! Happy Bacon Day. Oh Kitties, Mom says if it was up to me, we’d have bacon all over our Christmas tree but alas, we’d also probably have kitties knocking at the front door all day long!!!! I’m glad that Lily will get to try bacon – she may not even like it but hey – at our age we should get to try stuff we’ve never had before right???? My Mom says the same thing about getting to be HER age (eeeeeek). Bacon aftershave is dumb and my Mom says the day they get around to making Godiva Chocolate-scented after shave she will buy my Dad a BARREL full!

I think Mom will probably make some bacon but our “traditional” Christmas morning breakfast is sausage gravy and biscuits……my Mom’s Daddy used to make that for the family on Christmas morning (the only time he cooked!)…..so Mom still has that every Christmas morning.
