Too Much Food….

Standard

…Burrrrrrp!…

OOPS……excuse me…….maybe I’ve had just a bit too much in the “leftovers” department?   I couldn’t help myself….Mom got back from Thanksgiving in W. Virginia with a BIG bag of leftovers for me and – well – I couldn’t help myself.   I went nuts………ate turkey until I was stuffed (like a turkey!).

I must say though……it was worth it!

We’re taking a little break today – no wordy blog post – just me enjoying the last of the leftovers….oh and Mom and Dad doing the Friday Monsterizing as usual.   The Christmas tree goes up this weekend…………..now that will be worth blogging about.

HOPE YOUR THANKSGIVING WAS GRAND – WAS IT????

  1. You totally won’t believe this, Sammy, but I got HAM! The restaurant made a mistake on my human’s order and gave her the ham and turkey combo. Well, she would not eat the ham (and made sure she didn’t have to pay for it), but she did bring home a nice chunk for us kitties! That was awesome.

    • OH WOW SUMMER!!!!! Now that’s GRAND! What a nice treat to have for Thanksgiving. I do like a bit of ham from time to time myself……Funny that your human’s order at the restaurant was wrong BUT right (for you kitties!!!!!).

    • Mom is too excited about Christmas to wait…….when she was growing up they ALWAYS put their tree up on December 19th which was her Mom’s birthday. She said it seemed like a really SHORT time to have the tree up before Christmas came and went so now it’s the weekend after THanksgiving! I love when it goes up so I can watch the choo choo train!!!!!

    • They didn’t bring a lot home – by the time all the leftovers were divided up between the six people who were there, everyone just got a BIT to bring home…..but Mom says I have first priority on our share of leftovers! YAY!

      • We DID have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am always glad when I know your Mom and Dad are home safe. We have decided to put the tree up today because, well, it’s just that kind of day… 😀 A little wine and cheese, Christmas music, and tree decorating this afternoon!

          • Not decorating the tree today, it is pre-lit and it doesn’t want to light up in several sections. We shouldn’t have gotten rid of our second tree last year when we thought we were going to downsize… 😀 I think this is the Christmas decorating gods way of telling us to stay with Mom’s little ceramic tree. We haven’t put up a big tree in three years and I am not going out to buy another BIG tree that we might never put up again! It would be lovely if you took pictures of you guys decorating Sunday and we will clink glasses with you. Of course we are still going to have wine, cheese, Christmas music, and have a “NOT decorating the tree” party in about an hour… 😀 BIG hugs to you Sammy and to your Mom!

          • UHOH……well we have a pre-lit one too and so far so good with the lights but who knows……ours only has three sections of lights so with any luck all of them will WORK! Anyway, I’ll try to get Mom to take photos but you know she’s all “photo’d out” after THanksgiving and keeping up with Bashful. Now we have the Elf on the Shelf to deal with – Elfvis is going to be turned loose this weekend too. Not sure if I’m HAPPY about that or not – last year he was a pain in the “you know what” !!!!!! Hope your “non-decorating tree” party was TONS OF FUN!

    • We agree! There are a lot of things that are better the next day – spaghetti/lasagna/beef stew…….but turkey dinner (the whole thing!) is great the second time around! Hope you had a wonderful one.

  2. hahaha…glad to hear all that turkey went down well. Take it cool and enjoy my friend. The tree goes up so early…well, it is almost December. Mom puts our tree up after her and dad’s anniversary on the 4th of Dec…so on the 5th I’ll be in there helping mom. Kali will be supervising. We do get our advent calendar up at the beginning of December if not sooner. Mom and dad get little chocolates in the pockets of their advent calendar but our calendar doesn’t have pockets….no fair! hehe

  3. Glad you enjoyed your turkey Sammy. We don’t put our tree up until the weekend before Christmas, but then it stays up until Twelfth Night.
