Beautiful buildings yes? Well, this photo was taken by the humans belonging to my friend Gracie of Goodness Gracie blog when they were on a trip to VENICE, ITALY – it’s the ISLAND OF BURANO which is known as the spot where lace is made AND where a whole lot of fishermen live. The colorful homes are a tradition – so the men of the sea living on Burano could recognize their homes when they came back from a long fishing trip! Cool huh? Pee Ess…..for those of you waiting for my blood results to come back – doc says I have to increase my thyroid meds……instead of one pill a day I now have to have one and a HALF pills a day – that’s right two excuses to get my Gerber baby food treat !!!! My current fave is turkey with turkey gravy baby food so Mom will be giving that to me at breakfast AND dinner – good deal huh? Everything else looks GREAT he says….liver, kidneys, blood glucose – all good. Just my pesky thyroid and he thinks that’s got something to do with my weight loss too.

I can handle more baby food……..no problem…….tee hee…… that stuff is delish and Mom gave me my first “extra dose” last night and I ate it NO PROBLEM. The rest of my vet info was good for an oldie moldy like me!

It seems to work…….just sayin’ ! The one thing I wish someone would do is make a GOOD tasting medicine though – even with the baby food I can taste that icky thyroid medication…..but usually I’m so excited to have the baby food that I don’t care!

Yes it was great that the only thing I have to do is have a bit more thyroid meds – with the turkey baby food mixed in my medicine is a TREAT! HAHAHA Burano and its’ sister island Murano are both beautiful – but then there’s a lot of “beautiful” in Venice!!

Glad your results were good Sammy. Those pills are tiny so an extra half isn’t so bad.
I didn’t get my blood test today after all so I was starved for nothing! Turns out I have another UTI so that has to be cleared up first. It’s one of the downsides of having steroids, but the pros outweigh the cons, and it is a very low dose.My T4 would rocket through the roof without them. Everything else was good though.

We’ve talked about how they refer to our levels differently on both sides of the pond, well – 4 months ago my level was 3.5 and this time it was 6 so the extra half pill SHOULD bring it down!!! As for your UTI – I hope you can get that cleared up quickly so you can get that blood work done. It’s best for you and me BOTH to let our vets keep a close eyeball on us right my friend?????

I don’t mind losing a little weight as it’s easier on my arthritic shoulders! I can get around better without all that weight on me. I also get more baby food so it’s kind of a WIN/WIN!!!!

I know my fave Gerber’s involves the dreaded BURD, but strangely they don’t make seafood baby food! That seems kind of sad yes? They have beef, ham, and turkey/chicken but no mackerel or crab or anything that I truly would go insane over if Mom offered me some. DANG!
