The Teaser Guy!

Pee Ess……………a quickie update on my vet visit yesterday.  I have lost a WHOLE POUND in four months which we can’t figure out but the vet checked me from top to bottom and side to side and feels nothing funky (or lumpy) inside of me.  They did blood work to check my thyroid and because Mom told him I’m drinking a lot of water lately, they will specially look at kidney function AND they even did a blood glucose test which showed me “in range” so no diabetes.   My Vet said that for almost 16, I am in REMARKABLE shape (yay).   He checked my heart murmur and it is about the same too.   I’m just slim and trim for no explainable reason other than getting older……I’m just going to keep my paws crossed that the blood work doesn’t show anything for us to worry about because right now I’m feeling just DANDY!

  10. I am glad your vet is pleased with you Sammy.
    We think it looks like one of the Venetian islands. Mum visited Murano where they make the glass but she doesn’t think it looks quite right, but it does look very familiar. Maybe the neighbouring island of Burano. They didn’t get off the vaporetto there but it sounds similar and from what she saw, it looked similar, so who knows!

    • Well Flynn – who knows – I sure don’t – but my Mom knows where this is and tomorrow ALL of us will find out! Your Mom has been everywhere in the universe (tee hee) so maybe she’s right……I know there are a lot of places that have this amazingly BRIGHT painting on their dwellings though!

  11. Sammy, I’m glad you got good news from the vet!!!! And it’s useless to call him for a hint, because he couldn’t bread your minds right? So I say that could be BURANO near VENICE ITALY… or maine usa :o)

    • Oh Miss Caren we’re so sorry for your family’s loss……although we totally understand about Alzheimers as my Mom’s Mom had that for years too. It is a blessing in so many ways…… Denmark? I think that’s a good guess and someone else has guessed it so we’ll see how our DENMARK-IANS do tomorrow when we get the Tell All!!!!!

  13. Good morning! We are guessing Bergen, Norway.
    Paws crossed that all your test results come back good, Sammy. All of the older cats that we’ve had got very slim in their old age, so we think that’s probably all that’s going on there.

    • OH WOW! Bergen, Norway – that’s always been on Mom’s “bucket list” for a vacation visit………good guessing – we’ll see how you did tomorrow!!!! Thanks for telling us that about your senior kitties – I think that’s all it is too – – – – and I guess my vet does as well or he would have hit the panic button!!

  14. I am glad your vet visit went well aside from the weight loss. You have been going outside a lot with your Mom, maybe all the extra exercise caused the weight loss. I am praying that your blood tests are good. XO PS- I have no clue where to photo was taken. 🙂

  15. Morning cousin! I’m sayin’ Amsterdam – I don’t know I just like how Amsterdam rolls off my piggy tongue – snorts with piggy laughter. Glad your vet visit when okay – I’m keeping my hooves crossed for the bloodwork. I just know it will be fine. Love ya! XOXO – Bacon

    As far as the picture goes…we’ll agree with The Furkids and say Burano Island, Venice. Who am I to argue with Mr. Goggle? haha

  26. Sammy, we are super late today as Mom had an appointment this a.m. So we think we might know this. Mom thinks it is the island of Murano (where they make all the beautiful glass) near Venice, Italy. She and Dad have actually stayed on the island. What absolutely good news from the vet. Mau says it sounds if you have not been eating enough yummy stuff at Scouts. We’ll keep our paws crossed that all your blood work comes back A-OK.     • Maybe Mau could make me a special elixir in his bake shop that would put weight on my bony old body? HAHA Seriously though, we think maybe just my age is the reason I’ve lost weight….I eat well….in fact I eat all the time (!)…..but we’ll see if the bloodwork provides some kind of explanation. I’m not really thinking it will though. Just want to be sure my kidneys are good and my thyroid is still OK! As for the Teaser – tune in tomorrow to see how your Mom did!

  29. Binga’s 15 and she has a little trouble keeping weight on, and Boodie too – so my human gives them a midday snack, and that seems to help lots. Lucky kitties – my human watches MY weight to make sure I don’t gain any!

    • Bristol! Back a bazillion years ago when my Mom was young and wacky (1957 to be exact) there was a song out by The Dovells, called “The Bristol Stomp”…..something tells me it wasn’t YOUR Bristol though!!!!! Thanks for guessing my friend.

    • You know my Mom was so surprised to hear I’d lost weight because between eating baby food to get my pill down and the bacon and other “stuff” I beg for and get from the human meals around here I should weigh about 30 lbs.! Instead I’m “Mr. Bony” ! Go figure…………..still waiting to hear about the bloodwork………hoping all is well and will let everyone know when I get the word! Thanks doods!

    • I had a few peeps say Norway……I think the houses/boats on the water are similar in several places “across the pond”………but it was in fact the island of Burano, in Venice, Italy!

        • Well you were CLOSE anyway……and the fact of the matter is there are a lot of port towns that have colorful houses for the same reason Burano does – – – because in the old days the fishermen could distinguish their homes from afar when they returned from long fishing trips at sea!

  33. Meow Sammy those awe sum really bwight colored houses. As fur da weight loss, we hope like you it’s nuffin’. Mommy sez dat in all hers research she found dat even healthy kitty’s do start wiff muscle wastin’ as they get older. We give sis Lexi protein powder to help wiff dat, but you can also use egg whites, real or powdered and cooked. Da extwa protein be good fur older kitties. Good luck and weez sendin’ lots of purrayers fur good test results.

  35. Glad to hear your vet visit was good. Crossing paws for good lab work! We are guessing Italy (no idea where though) since Mom watched a “Bizzare Foods” yesterday where the houses were pretty like that and they were in Italy.

  36. Mee-you Unccle Sammy sorry mee iss so late again…..LadyMum was out today with Auny Sheila an they went fur a walk inn thee conservashun area…an gotted mee foodabullss an a new toy. That was ok butt LadyMum went inn-to a flare-up an ende dup flat on her back. *sighsss*
    Mee showed her thee foto an shee iss sayin sumwhere in Sweden…..I can feel a ‘Greenie’ comin our way….mew mew mew…

    • BEAUTIFUL house colors – Mom remembers Bermuda was like that too only not BRIGHT colors – pastels but all houses a different color. Anyway, thank you and your Mom for the GREAT photo – it was a goodie!
