Whazzup?

Whazzup????

Whazzup????

Whazzup???    Well not a whole lot but a couple of “things of note” like for instance my Mom is all excited because she’s getting a new dishwasher.   Humans are so weird don’t you think?   Imagine getting excited over a dishwasher….well she is.  She HATES our old one which isn’t so old but we’ve had repair here TWICE in three years to fix something so FAREWELL CRUMMY DISHWASHER.    My only problem with it is of course that means a STRANGER will be in my domain Friday – no – make it SEVERAL strangers – so I will have to hide or sneak a peek or something “covert”.    I’m hoping the crew does NOT look like this bunch – not sure they can be trusted!!

STOOGES

On the UP side of this is the fact my Mom will be on Cloud Nine for several days with her new TOY (hahaha) so maybe it’s a good thing after all????

Then the next “whazzup” thing is that next Monday I’ll be visiting the evil vet (although I like my vet – I just hate GOING there).   It’s time for my four month checkup to see how my thyroid meds are working.  I’m POSITIVE that they’re working just fine thank you but they won’t take MY word for it – they want to do all that blood work stuff and have Mr. Vet check my neck and all my other “parts”………so I suppose since I’ve been really good about taking my pill, that I can EXPECT the tests to show I’m good to go.   That’s what I HOPE.

VET4 VET2

After all that and a hopefully QUIET rest of next week, we have a countdown to TURKEY DAY.   Now I know it’s not “TURKEY DAY” and that lotsa peeps don’t even like turkey (or any BURD) – they’ll have ham or whatever else they want…..the point is not what you eat, but that you be thankful on that day anyway.   I’m usually THANKFUL that my parents bring home some turkey from their Thanksgiving at the cabin with family!!!!    I assume that will be the case again this year…….if not……there will be HECK to pay!!!!!    I’m not beyond presenting them with a revenge hork if there is no “Sammy leftover bag” present when they get home from the cabin!

Lucky me....

Lucky me….

So – how do you feel about the whole Thanksgiving thing?   Do you enjoy getting a bit of this and that from your humans’ Thanksgiving celebration???

Hugs, Sammy

    • I’ve been EVER so good about my pill so as long as my thyroid just needs that much (one pill a day) to stay normal than I’m happy!!!!! As for turkey – I’d be happy if Mom made it once a week but THAT sure won’t happen!!! HAHA

      • So pleased to hear you’ve been good with your pills. What medium do you like them in these days? We ask as it’s good to know what helps kitties eat pills as we have one or two who make life interesting 😉

    • Easy you’re right……we animals are better dishwashers than any old noisy machine AND we recycle what we find on the dishes too (haha) instead of having it all go to waste down the drain!

    • Thanks Fozziemum! Of course you know I’ll be reporting on the results when I get them after my visit next week. Should have them by the time Teaser Tell All is up on Wednesday!!! My Mom enjoys handwashing the dishes and mostly does that when she bakes (which isn’t all that often except making biscotti about once every couple of weeks!)………..but she DOES love just tossing stuff in the dishwasher too. Whatever makes HER happy, means I’m happy!

  3. Well, Motor Mommy says that IS exciting to be getting a new dishwasher! And I say it’s exciting to have turkey coming our way! Yummy — my sisfur, Gypsy, and I don’t eat a lot of human food, but we both love chicken and turkey!
Hope the guys who bring the dishwasher are kitty-lovin’ folks!

  4. Your Mom is lucky to get a new dishwasher. If I got a new dishwasher, that would mean I was being replaced 🙂 Sorry you have to go to the vet, I think some bacon will be due to you the next morning. I hope your meds are working for you still.
My cats love turkey, they have to smell it cooking for hours so they deserve some.

  5. You know humans are weird like that – they love their new toys. And an electrical dishwasher would be amazing. Ours is grumpy and only works when it wants to – it’s called daddy – snorts with piggy laughter. Keeping my hooves crossed for your bloodwork Monday. I just *know* it has to be fine cousin. And we are so looking forward to our turkey day next week… except you know what happens the day, after right? Shivers to mergatroid – I’m not looking forward to that. XOXO – Bacon

Homemade noodles sound “melt in your mouth” and I bet they are. I hope that you have a ton of fun too………….

  11. We bet your Mom is going to love her new dishwasher – they are all so quiet now:) And we wish you good luck with your vet visit. It is important to check that thyroid. Mom wishes they had checked Ciara’s sooner because we would have known if the change in her levels is due to the switch to a generic med or if it was lower before that. In any event we will know in a month if the increase is working.

    Have a great weekend.

    • I hope Ciara’s new dose IS working……so far my vet’s just checking mine every 4 months but I think if he gets concerned, he’ll cut that back to more frequent. I’ve been good about my pill so paws crossed it’s enough -Mom can’t imagine trying to give me TWO pills a day! HAHAHA

      Happy Friday!

  12. Sammy, we’ll be purring and praying that you get an A+ on your vet exam. Mom and Dad will probably be working at the Rescue Mission on Turkey Day so no human noms for us. It’s okay, though, we usually don’t get any. Hope the workman won’t be in your house for too long. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
