Here’s the dual photo from yesterday’s Teaser post………one more time…………..and YES it probably does look familiar (some of you said it did anyway) – because it was a TEASER photo from my blog in 2012!!!! We wondered if anyone would remember………tee hee…….sneaky huh?
Unlocking the briefcase and here’s the ANSWER!
This is BERMUDA!!!!! That’s right – my Mom and Dad went to Bermuda many years ago and these are views from the property where they stayed. The sand doesn’t look that pink in the photo but it was pink and beautiful and the water was CLEAR and warm. It was a wonderful trip and they loved it there.

Hi Boomdee! I have to tell you, my first marriage was in 1967 and we eloped…..I bought my wedding dress (ha) for $11.00 at Montgomery Wards. My husband had to borrow my brother’s suit because he didn’t own a suit…..and we even had to borrow a car because we didn’t have a car! HAHA…..second marriage was a little more ORGANIZED! I loved that dress that I wore – and as soon as the wedding was over we went home, got our suitcases and went to the airport and popped on a jet for ROME! Imagine that. We had a nice 25th anniversary celebration not far from here in Luray, Virginia (where the beautiful caverns are) – stayed at a lovely old Inn in town. It was a nice quiet anniversary complete with champagne!

MY PEEPS WENT TO HORSESHOE BAY IN BERMUDA YEARS AGO BACK WHEN CAMERAS STILL HAD FILM N ROLLS. MOM TRIED TO BRING SOME OF THAT PINK SAND HOME IN A EMPTY FILM CONTAINER…SHE GOT BUSTED AT THE AIRPORT IN BERMUDA BY AGRICULTURAL AGENTS. HOW THE HECK DID THEY KNOW THE SAND WAS IN THAT CONTAINER?

HA! Your poor Mom….smuggling sand huh? Well better THAT than something ELSE! My Mom and Dad stayed well out of town in a small hotel right smack on the pink sand. They had to ride a little bus into town every day – it was one of their favorite vacations EVER!

I didn’t know you back then, but mum has been to Bermuda and that must be why it looked familiar. She was paddling on one of the beaches and a huge turtle started swimming around her. She was disappointed because she took photos but the sun reflecting off the water made it just look like a big shadow.

Oh Bermuda! My older brother had “Bermuda shorts” which he teamed with a cravat in the “olden days”. Very stylish for outback Australia. I thought he looked sooo dashing and handsome. ❤

Bermuda is one of my Mom’s FAVORITE sun spots. IT’s been some years since she and DAd were there but they stayed way outside town and it was QUIET and just beautiful!
