Oh boy! It’s time to compare prices on stuff! This is tons of fun……..interesting to see what we all pay for the same things (or similar things) around the world……………This week Bacon had us look for five items, and here’s what WE found out about prices of stuff in our little town in Virginia:
- Milk: Harris Teeter 2% Fat Milk 128 Fluid Ounces

- Tomatoes: Mom’s favorite – little grape tomatoes – one carton

3. Canned Product: Mom chose Bush’s Blackeyed Peas in the 15 oz. can

4. Homemade Meal Ingredients of Your Choice: One of Mom and Dad’s favorite “quickie meals” is homemade Jambalaya – while you can add “extras”, basically it’s Andouille (spicy) sausage and Zatarain’s Jambalaya Mix! Easy!

5. Random Item: Our random item today is Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts (Dad’s fave!!)

There you have it! Shopping in my town – Mom has been doing a lot of shopping the past few days with company here but this morning Miss Michelle and Mr. Craig from MY THREE MOGGIES left for the airport to fly to NYC for a few days before heading back to Oscar, Archie and Henry – their three moggies – who no doubt miss them! We will miss them too – I got to know them and was very brave and even let Miss Michelle carry me around! I’ll share some videos she did of me after we receive them from them when they return home………..I know some of you have been after me FOREVER AND EVER to do a video…..we had no way to do it but Miss Michelle did some with her fancy phone while they were here. WOOT!

TWO Spoiled Cats 
Sammy what a great list..and I forgot mine!! what a complete nut! speaking of which I love planters nuts..when I was a little girl my dad had part time night work at a pub and some mornings I would wake up and a little packet of planters nuts would be n my bedside table…it was such a treat! I have never used black eyed’s before and have just started getting in to black beans 🙂 I am glad that you all had fun with your guests and can’t wait to see the video 🙂 loves Fozziemum xx

My Mom LOVES blackeyed peas to the point that sometimes she’ll open up a can, heat them up, and dump them into a big bowl, add butter and eat them ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL herself as a snack! HAHAHAHA That’s a sweet story about your Dad leaving you little packets of nuts….sweet!

the grape tomatoes are fabulous… and with balsamico and basil and mozzarella they are a sign of summer :o) I can’t wait to hear and to see more about your meet and greet… it’s still unbelievable that they were really there… but oh soooo great!!!!

Mom says it doesn’t get any easier than that Jambalaya thing she does – my Dad puts MORE hot sauce on it but Mom says that Zatarain’s mix is PURRRFECT!

You were very brave Sammy. No-one picks me up and survives apart from my mum and dad. We call those little tomatoes cherry tomatoes and mum also serves them with mozzarella and a balsamic dressing.

Excited to see the videeeohhhs! We love Zatarain’s Red Beans and Rice and I put sweet Italian sausage in it… really it’s good. We put it over buttered cornbread. Glad you had a nice time with your company. You were brave Sammy… I thinkyou just knew to trust Michelle.. 🙂

Mom said the same thing about the tiny tomatoes – extra sweet – maybe almost like “concentrated” flavor!! I have been known to steal one and roll it about on the floor like a little ball…..as least I used to do that until Dad stepped on one in the kitchen when I was playing with it so no more for me! HAHAHAHA

TW says she doesn’t know why nuts are so expensive. We have to buy lactose-free, fat-free milk which costs a fortune. Sometimes was can get a half gallon for $3.99.

We have seen that lactose-free, fat free milk and it truly is VERY expensive….but when that’s what you must have to drink/use, then you just re-mortgage your house and buy it! HAHAHAHA Seriously though, food is getting “out of control” expensive these days!

Woo! Hoo! Sammy wes forgotted about the shopping list, but Mommy bought the Zanatarains (which she loves) this week cuz it was on sale for $3.49! She usually gets that in the US, cuz its expensive up here in Canada, but she could not resist (especially when sausages was on sale too)

I’ll have several videos I think – for now I only have one that Miss Michelle left behind and it’s very short – I’m sitting on top of an old ugly chair looking confused because I never had a camera take a MOVIE of me before!
