Tuesday Teaser

Standard

WOO HOO!!!    It’s that time again…………….the time of the week you LOVE to HATE!   HAHAHA

Today’s photo is – at least I think it is – a CHALLENGE.   It’s a photo that was in my Grandad’s old photo album that he had in his footlocker that Mom now has.    She rummaged through and found this photo and thought it would make a great Teaser……………..so take a look – it’s an old black and white – and let me know WHERE do you think this photo was taken????

TEASERMARCH3-2015

Whatcha think?   I’ll be waiting to see your guesses……………and for the very first comment on today’s blog, that person will win:

TEASERBADGE2015-4

If you are the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER of where the photo was taken you’ll get this:

TEASERBADGE2015-1

If you guess RIGHT but aren’t first, you get this:

TEASERBADGE2015-2

And all of you who are fans of GREEN (or don’t have any idea WHERE the photo was taken or guess WRONG) you get this!

TEASERBADGE2015-3

Everybody wins something right????  RIGHT!

Good luck peeps!

  1. Darn, a few minutes too late! First visitor was my only hope since I’m not sure where this is…even though it looks kind of familiar! I think Oliver and Calvin’s guess of NYC seems like a good one though.

  2. OMC…not even our ancient mom was alive that long ago. Looks like the early 1900s, and all we can say is that we think the little boy on the far right foreground is peeing on that light post. MOL! If somebody gets this right, they must be clairvoyant. Good luck to all. XOCK, Kitties Blue

  4. Oh wow, that’s old hey? Look at all the hats. The hats look more American to me and they seem to be all dresses in heavy jackets. I don’t know if you’d see this fashion in Venice. So I’m going to guess, Atlantic City USA.

  7. Stupid Feedly was late updating me again. Mum has seen this place but can’t remember where. She has seen the Flat iron building in NY and knows it is not there. She is 99.9% sure it was on a Mediterranean cruise, but where! Maybe Bruges in Belgium. There is a similar building there but she doesn’t think it’s this one. The only other place she can think it might be is Venice. *rushes off to look at eleventy million cruise photos*

    • Mum got held up getting tea. She told me it is one of the very few wide streets in Venice and it is the Via Garibaldi. She is fairly sure it was once part of one of the canals that got filled in. When they got there the flood alarms were going off and it was pouring with rain. They waited for a couple of hours before getting off the ship, and they had to walk on the temporary raised walkways the Venetians use when it floods.
