Monster Under the Bed!

Standard

HA!  There’s a monster in the closet and the monster is going to roam all over my house today removing bunnies of the dust type and wreaking havoc wherever it goes!   That’s right – it’s cleaning day AGAIN.   Why does it seem like this happens every other day instead of once a week?  Hmmmm?

Mom says most of the dust monsters are under the bed......I'm glad I don't have a bed then!

Mom says most of the dust monsters are under the bed……I’m glad I don’t have a bed then!

Are dust bunnies evil?  I don’t think so!   Do they deserve to be wiped out by the monster?  Seems like some sort of cruel trick to me!

MONSTER2

Well, all the whining in the world isn’t going to stop Mom and Dad from doing the cleaning today so I guess I’ll just stay out of their way.   When in doubt – HIDE OUT.

Thankful for tents

Thankful for tents

I keep telling Mom maybe she should get a maid………you know – someone who can keep up with stuff instead of this once a week insanity?   I found this one online – I bet SHE could keep this place whipped into shape don’t you??????

MAID1

We had some more “wintry mix” yesterday but just a bit………….overall I think we’ve been so lucky – nothing has kept me from a little sixty second burst of fresh air when I’ve wanted it the last couple of weeks – I whine at the door and Mom lets me on the front porch until I can’t stand the cold any longer and in I come.  What can I say – I like oxygen once in a while!

Then I was in a BIG hurry to get back inside...too cold!!

Then I was in a BIG hurry to get back inside…too cold!!

Hope your Friday is more quiet than mine will be……………….guess I could always just put on my headphones and listen to some tunes and ignore the chaos – right?

Hugs, Sammy

    • It is VERY slippery isn’t it…..my Mom will only go out on the snowy roads if she HAS to and thankfully she rarely “has” to!! If she’s not home then I can’t sleep on her lap and that makes me grumpy.

  2. Once a week cleaning is a walk in the park, S. Mom claims she has to vacuum EVERY SINGLE DAY on account of my furs being all over the place. Luckily, I’m not afraid of the vacuum….. As long as it doesn’t come too close.

  3. My human was born and raised in southern California so the whole “wintry mix” thing was new to her when she started going back east with her boyfriend. She’s convinced that “wintry mix” means the weather forcasters just don’t know what the heck is going on!

  4. Sammy, we are scared of that noisy monster, and we always run and hide when it comes out to gobble things up, too! We thinks the noisy monster is evil, not the dust bunnies! We hopes the noisy monster won’t be gobbling things up for too long over there so you can get some rest today.

  5. Beware of that maid, Sammy. It’s a furry beast in disguise. When she’s not stealing your favorite sleeping spots, she’ll chase you around the house like it’s a game!! I speak from experience. I’d stick with headphones and iTunes 😉

  6. You should have seen the herd of dust bunnies that greeted us when we got home from vacation! I always feel like I should drag out the super sucker on Fridays because your Mom mentions vakooming but it isn’t going to happen today! Enjoy your Friday Sammy! At least you don’t have to listen to the neighbor Maniac Marv knocking down scrub cedars and other trees with his little bobcat that sounds like a freight train sputtering then grunting!!! Been listening to that almost every day since Fall… want him to S T O P!!!

    • Remember that wabbits multiple VERY FAST so no wonder while you were away they multiplied several times!!!! Maniac Marv sounds like a real nuisance…..sounds like he’s not really taking down trees because they NEED to come down but because he wants an excuse to play with his bobcat. Might I suggest a nighttime foray in black clothes over there to remove some important parts from the engine??????? An adventure for you and CH! The Avengers ride again!

          • He has a 100 acre fence line to clear behind us out of 250 acres and we think he is close to being done. It is common around here to knock down scrub cedars and dead trees and we do it too but we don’t have 100 acres and we have someone do it for us and they finish in a day because they don’t have a teeny bobcat! He did it when we moved here in 2005 so I guess it is a 10 year event… 😀 I do have to say, he has made us a very pretty view of his lovely meadow. BUT I still want him to be FINISHED!!!!!!!!!! We had a peaceful wine time yesterday! Maniac Marv, making our life interesting since 2005! Ha! Good Morning Pam and Sammy!

          • I think you should get a big sign made that says “MANIAC MARV, MAKING LIFE INTERESTING SINCE 2005!”………………I can see it all now! Glad it hasn’t interfered with wine time…..that would be CRIMINAL!!!!

    • Hi Katie! I think we all develop our coping mechanisms for dealing with the cleaning equipment our humans have…..running to hide, or even being brave and attacking…..no matter though we have to put up with the housecleaning stuff once in a while. Humans like to torture us. HAHA

  9. Oh cousin! I say headphones, snacks and hide out in your fort until all of the noisy makers are gone and your mom is done. We are also not big fans of the noisy monster…. although Houdini tries to fight it. Rolls piggy eyes. Just like a 6 pound puppy to try to attack it. XOXO – Bacon

    • Hi Guys!! My Mom’s family had an English Bulldog when she was a kid – his name was “Sir Reginald” and he weighed 90 lbs. I think if we had a maid like that I’d be packing up my bags and moving next door until she was LONG GONE! EEEEEK!!!!! Hope you all have a tuna/mackerel/Dogfish filled weekend!!

    • I think it’s our job to go after those dust bunnies and bring them out into the open for our Moms….they’re kind of fun to play with and I like going under furniture where Mom’s monster can’t reach and pulling the bunnies out for a play…..of course Mom sees them and takes them away from me but I figure I’m HELPING!

  14. That monster looks very scary Sammy. Mum and dad’s bed only has an inch space under it so no room for monsters to hide. It is just enough room for a mousie to escape under. Don’t ask!!!!

    • Hi Flynn! My Mom and Dad have one of those super high beds with LOTS of bunny room underneath…..I am VERY INTRIGUED by the “just enough room for a mousie” statement though – if you tell me about that I promise I won’t tell on you!

  15. Monsters will hurt you so don’t hang around under the bed for too long. They creep up on you and when you least expect it….they pounce. If, I’m under the bed for long…I yell…this seems to keep them at bay. Mom usually comes and she always scares the sheet out of them.
