Purrrrsday

Standard

Hi Everyone!   First things first…………..thanks so much for all your purrs, prayers and POTP for Raz and his Dad and their whole family these past several days.   Believe me – they “felt the love” and thanks for joining in on the love-fest because it really does help more than you know!   We’ve all needed our friends before when we’ve gone through tough stuff and you all came through for Raz and his family.   His Dad had his bypass surgery yesterday afternoon and is resting comfortably in his room while they keep a close eye on him.   With some luck he’ll be home early next week and things will begin to be “right” in Raz’s house again – they have all missed their Dad like crazy!

Now, you DO remember that Valentine’s Day is coming up right?  It’s not far away…………..well, there are a bunch of parties going on for that day including a Sadie Hawkins Day Dance at the Tabby Cat Club.   But Cat Scouts is having a big “DO” too AND so is Blogville!   The new Mayors of Blogville, Murphy and Stanley are hosting a BIGGIE and all you have to do to pawticipate is send in photos of you and your “date” ASAP (deadline Feb. 6)!    Click below and be transported to the Mayors’ blog – on their sidebar you’ll see this same “badge” and if you click there you’ll go to where all the details are!   Be there or be square…………..hahaha (remember that old saying?!).    I’ll see you there!!

HEART2HEART

Speaking of Cat Scouts – we’re of course having a big fat Super Bowl party on Sunday……………my Mom used to be one of those “insane” football fans – well in her dotage she’s not as insane as she used to be (well…..let me reconsider that statement).   She doesn’t scream and yell when she’s watching the Super Bowl…….she just smiles or cries QUIETLY.   I know in my house we’re rooting for the Seattle Seahawks.   I happen to be a fan of football AND baseball.   Ever since I was a wee guy I’ve loved to watch that on TV – Mom says it must be the little ball flying around and the tiny people running every which way for football and she’s not QUITE figured out what’s fascinating about baseball because there’s not as much “action” on the screen but I still watch.   I’m a real sports dude.   Are you going to be watching the Super Bowl?????

SUPERBOWLPOSTER

Hope you have a happy Purrsday……….and thanks again for all the purrrrrrs for Raz’s Dad………………I know he felt them!

Hugs, Sammy

  1. Good morning, Sammy! Great news about Raz’s dad — I know they can’t WAIT to have him back home. He’ll definitely be feeling the love when he gets back, won’t he??
No, we probably won’t be watching the Super Bowl – my pawerents aren’t football fans. Hope your Seahawks win!

  2. Oh it would be great if they could be together next week… it’s not easy when someone has to sleep in that hospital-crib. I wish I could be a cat… such a pawty sounds great… we hope we can see the super bowl… but the time is a little unhowly for peeps&pets of the ole world :o)

    • The time difference does make it just a bit tough for anyone outside the US of A to watch the Super Bowl….but with all the controversy over underinflated balls, and one of the quarterbacks being sick – I’m thinking there will be lots of drama and trauma! I think you should investigate the Dog Scouts since we found out there is indeed such an organization! You could run for the position of King of the Scouts and WIN!

  3. Good Morning Sammy! We WILL be watching the Super Bowl… for the commercials like lots of other people out there and the excuse to eat FOOD! Cracking up over Mr. Austin’s comment about the Supper Bowl! Have to watch the Clydesdales! Wonderful news about Raz’s Dad. Enjoy your Thursday Sammy!

    • Yepper – we’ll be watching too!! Mom has to be involved in the Super Bowl on Cat Scouts but she can take breaks and come check on the game too! I’ll be watching but Dad will be snoring. Wanna bet? Loved the beautiful necklace you sent to Miss Dianna….perfect for her!! I hope we get to see the Clydesdales this time – we were so disappointed about NOT seeing them at the Rose Bowl Parade.

  4. Great news about Raz’s dad! As for the Super Bowl, unfortunately it’ll be on in our house. I even heard my moms talking about hosting a “Super Bowl Party” for our person that’s away at college and her friends. My moms yell so loud when they watch that awful football (especially college football)! I hate it!!

    • I agree…………fortunately my Mom has become a little less “vocal” now that she’s a woman of a certain age (ahem…….) and she just groans from time to time when her team isn’t doing well. I can handle that a lot better. As for parties – I don’t have to suffer through those (other than on Cat Scouts of course!).

  5. Are you ready for some football?! Oh yes cousin – we are here at the Hotel Thompson. Football is a big thing here – dad loves it and reminds him of the days he used to play. And of course, we know my family lineage goes way back in football – snorts. Even Houdini is going to get involved this year – dad bought him a jersey to wear. Can’t wait for ya’ll to see it – snorts. Let’s play! XOXO – Bacon

    • I could NOT believe that it was even CONSIDERED (the puppy GoDaddy ad) in the first place!! Some peeps really are nuts aren’t they? We’re looking forward to the kitty and puppy bowls too – they’re tons more entertaining than the PEOPLE bowl anyway!

    • Hi Nissy! I always get a card for my Daddy…..Mom helps me find the right one and because I have thumbs I can handle signing it myself (tee hee). My Dad gets my Mom roses…..I get a hug and that’s alright with me. I think you probably could get your whole gang together to get a card for your Mom and Dad too…..put all your paw prints (all 87 bazillion of them) on it!

I hope you’re getting my comments on your blog – it’s the only BlogSpot one that I don’t get any sort of confirmation that my comment has gone through!!!! Just know that I’m reading it….OK?

        • Hi Siddhartha…..I think Christy Paws is a very beautiful girl-kitty and you two would be a cute couple. The Heart2Heart Ball is in “BLOGVILLE” and two doggies (who are also the Mayors of BLOGVILLE) are hosting it. If you ask your LAdymum to go to http://murphyandstanley.blogspot.com and look on their sidebar, she will see the “poster” for the Ball. Just click on it and get the details!!!! Hurry though – I think the deadline is coming in a few days!!! I’ll happily chaperone you and Christy!
