Hi Peeps! Recovered from Christmas yet? Well I’m trying to……….I’ve been doing nothing but sleeping and playing with my new toys. I’m thinking that now that Christmas is over, it’s almost time for 2015 to arrive and that also means yours truly will be turning 15 years old. Seems like yesterday when I was a wee boy.
Anyway, as I mentioned before, I’ve decided not to have a big hoopla party but I WILL host a “Morning After New Year’s Eve Breakfast Buffet” at my house…………complete with noms, and even some nice comfy beds and blankies if you need a place to “sleep it off” !! How’s that sound? So on your way back from your New Year’s Eve pawties – stop at Sammy’s……….I’ll take care of your hangover for ya!

On a serious note, I want to ask EVERYBODY to send some major purrs and prayers to my good friend Flynn………Flynn has not been doing well for quite a long while. He went to the vet and the vet has taken him off his thyroid meds and is treating some of his other problems and at least he’s home resting but he needs to eat. Flynn and his Mom have helped me and my Mom as we adjusted to starting on MY thyroid medication and all the things that go along with it and I am just so sad that he’s not doing well now. Annabelle, Rocky and Mickey and their Mom Julia Williams sent me a box full of TONS of fun toys and I’m having fun getting to know each and every one of them (the toys that is!).
I’ve had a LOT of bacon these past few days – as well as a bit of turkey, egg nog, and a lick or two of whipped cream from on top of a pie (oops)………..but that won’t stop be enjoying tomorrow’s BACON CATURDAY…………..may you enjoy something that you especially like tomorrow – AND every day!

Aaww cousin you know you always throw the best parties. I will be there! We have all been sleeping a lot here too. I’m glad your Mom and Hoo Hoo are better post-surgery. I’m sure with you and your Dad taking such good care of them they’ll be “up and at ’em” in no time. We have heard that Flynn is a bit better this morning so I think the POTP has worked!

Hi Summer……we heard that Flynn is already getting better – ate some last night and his Mom and Dad are hopeful that he’ll be just fine…………that medicine he was on apparently was the culprit – thank heavens I take a different thyroid med and have had NO issues with mine so far. You mean I can drive our cars now? How about the tractor – I’ve always wanted to drive that thing……oh wow…..cool……….as for Flynn, we’re happy to hear he’s a little better today. I haven’t known him long but he and I share our “thyroid” issue and he’s been such a ROCK……his Mom has helped my Mom too…..and we’re very sad that he’s not doing as well as I am with the hyperthyroidism. I think if we all concentrate REAL hard, we can get the energy to him across the pond and make him better!

Thank you for asking for purrs and prayers for me Sammy. Mum is going to do an update for me in a few minutes. The vet rang her again this morning and was pleased that I have eaten some food, so I don’t have to go into the kitty hospital today. I have only eaten a tiny bit this morning though so she is cooking me some fish now to see if that will tempt me. We have to update the vet first thing Monday morning unless we are worried before that.
I have to get well enough to come to your birthday buffet.

Oh Flynn……my friend…..nothing would make me more happy than to see your face at my birthday buffet……but first and foremost I want you to REST and eat! I think that thyroid stuff really threw you for a loop….I’m praying that your vet (who sounds like a really GOOD doctor) can find the right things to make all of your health problems BETTER. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Oh gosh thanks for the compliment!!! I have to admit I’ve changed a lot the past few years – lost two whole pounds so I’m not as “fluffy” as I was (hahaha) but then again less weight has meant better mobility so it’s not a BAD thing!

Poor Flynn….he’s really struggling….I think he wants to be with his brother Eric but he also wants to be with his Mom and Dad longer…..we hope he STAYS…..Eric will welcome him one day but we want Flynn to get better NOW.

I agree about turning 15……a major milestone……I’m just thrilled to be able to spend another year with my wonderful Mommy and Dad…….I am one lucky boy, especially when we look around us at all the sick kitties in our world…………I am blessed.

Oh how sweet of you to visit Flynn. His brother Eric died a year ago – they were inseparable so it’s been tough for him on his own…..and now he’s super sick…..so we’re hoping he doesn’t leave to be with Eric any time soon as his Mom and Dad would be SOOOOOOOOO sad – and so would all of us!

Mee-you Unccle Sammy when me an me fursibss were a month old wee got an Uppy Respurratory Infeckshun AN Con…Conj…(“Mum pleese help me with that big werd!”) “Conjunctivitis sweetie….”
Ok back to thee storey; so mee had the URI plus the infeckshun inn both eyess an mee allmost died frum them. Miss Nikki tooked reel guud care of mee an mee fursibss an they are all better an look fine but mee hass the bad eye an mee iss still furragile.
Mee hass thee appoinmint with Doc Dave thiss comin Monday…an if mee eye iss running too much mee can go in Katurday (butt mee wantss to wait to meet Doc Dave!).
Wee hope Flynn iss bettur today; wee iss so wurried fur him!

Siddhartha I’m so happy you’ll get to meet Doctor Dave. He sounds like a really GREAT vet and we’re sure he will be able to help with your eye and anything else that might be wrong with you!! Your Mum will see to that!! We checked Flynn’s blog and Facebook first thing this morning and there is no update yet. We’ll just have to hope he’s better today………..

The update on Flynn is that he’s EATING….his Mom is very happy for now and we just hope that this continues. He was truly VERY ill and still is but at least he’s not so weak since he’s eating. We’re hoping he keeps on fighting back……..he’s such a good guy (and he’s ginger like me!!!). I’m going to be anxious to hear what Doctor Dave says about your little eye!
