Whew!

My goodness!!!   What a holiday this has been so far……..we all even slept in a little later than usual this morning and I’m just now getting my “Day After” blog out.  All of us were really pooped after all the present-opening then came the “eat-a-rama” with the huge Christmas Dinner yesterday!   We had company over so I spent much of the day in the basement BUT I did come upstairs and actually allowed someone to pet me – I had a brief conversation with him too which really surprised my Mom.  I don’t usually talk to anyone but her and Dad (and I’m quite a chatterbox usually but not around strangers).

Santa Paws was EVER so good to me this year……………….also the Cat Blogosphere had a “Secret Santa” gift exchange and my Secret Santa really sent me a box full of fun.   It didn’t stop there though because my two “Besties”, Gracie and Raz sent me boxes of presents too (Mom even got some goodies from their Moms) so we all had an abundance of gifts to open.   I thought I’d do a little slideshow so you could see me with my new “stuff” !!

It was a pretty day yesterday too – we’re about ten degrees above normal for this time of year – last year we had snow on Christmas and this year we had SUN.   I even got to go out on the front porch for a while to enjoy it before our company came.

I hope you and your families had as much joy, love, and fun as we did………………..it was a most special Christmas for me this year.   Now onward to New Year’s!!!   A new year for all of us AND I’ll be turning 15 on New Year’s Day.   Which reminds me – I’m having a “quiet” party this year……………..I do hope you’ll stop by.  I thought I’d have a “Morning After New Year’s Eve Breakfast Buffet” complete with some blankets for napping for those of you stopping by after partying all night.   Tee Hee

Now, if you’ll pardon me – I believe I heard the word BACON mentioned this morning – hard to imagine eating again after yesterday’s major eat-o-rama but hey………it’s part of enjoying the holidays right?

  1. Whew! I agree, Santa brought so much things to you… maybe you should give him a special Santa-Teaser-Badge next tuesday? Is that a magic fishie? You can make three wishes now :o) Happy Howl-i-days to you and your furmily, Sammy!

    • Oh Easy I didn’t know my fishie was magic! I’ll try the wishes……..right now I wish my friend Flynn was feeling better – I’m worried about him!!!! We are “thyroid brothers” and I don’t like that he’s poorly. I hope you’re enjoying your grandparents visit AND all your new toys (the ones you haven’t eaten yet of course!).

We hear Flynn is better and ate some food last night…..let’s hope he continues to do that so he doesn’t have to go to the hospital………….as for your living room – I bet it does look like something exploded in there – body parts everywhere, bits and pieces of stuffie stuffing stuck on the ceiling and walls…….(haha)………I hope your Mom makes an emergency trip to the trashure store to get you another load of “indestructibles” so you can continue having tons of fun while your grandparents are visiting!!!!!

  2. Great gifts, S! What a haul! Did you open the paper yourself? This was the first year I was able to figure out how to do that. It only took me 5 Christmases! Duh! Have fun trying out all your new stuff. Ditto for your mom trying how her kitty coffee mug.

    • Hi Austin! YES we had turkey and the trimmings and I trimmed some of that turkey right into my mouth. HAHAHAHA I even tried stuffing and a lick of well-buttered mashed potatoes! I was BRAVE! I hope you got lots of presents from Santa Paws too!

  7. Sounds like, and looks like you had a great day! Lots of presents!!! Sunny here yesterday and not as warm as your bit of country but nice. Rain and cold is on the way but we are okay with that! Enjoy your Friday Sammy.. maybe the super sucker vakoom is taking a break?

    • Guess what Miss Pix…..Mom said she was TOO TIRED to vakoom so no monster today! I’m sure the monster WILL show up this weekend but for now – it’s QUIET and I’m just sleeping and playing with my new toys! I hope some of those packages under your tree were for YOU YOU YOU!!!!!!

  14. You did awesome Sammy. Look at all the toys you got, my man. Glad you talked with your visitor Sammy. That’s more than I did…I went outside and sat on the deck for most of their visit and then joined Kali in the bedroom.

My birthday pawty will be quiet….no loud music, nothing but some nice foodables and some great napping spots so everyone who partied at New Year’s can rest up before going back home. I can’t believe I’m almost 15!!!! You’re just starting your life and I’m on the “downhill” side of mine……we’re a good duo!

    • Thanks for saying that – I really did get a huge amount of presents – my Secret Paws from the Cat Blogosphere sent tons of little toys in a box and I was just overwhelmed by everything! It was fun to just lie in the middle of all of it and NAP! HAHAHA I saw on your blog that you enjoyed a pawsome Christmas too!!!! Guess all of us were on Santa’s NICE list this year for sure!

  20. You had lots of great presents Sammy.
    Mum cooked her Christmas dinner this afternoon and guess what….I ate a little bit of roast lamb. I hardly ever eat people food so that made the ‘rents happy. I ate a small sachet of food as well so we are hoping I don’t have to be admitted into the kitty hospital tomorrow.

    • Flynn I heard first thing this morning from Raz that your Mum posted on FB that you were eating a bit and might be feeling better today – that MADE MY DAY friend…..please continue to eat and drink fluids – I know you don’t want to be away from your Mum and Dad at the hospital and WE all don’t want you to either. I’m sending all the POTP I can that you get that medicine out of your system quickly and can enjoy life again 100%!!!!

    • Thanks Miss Caren and Cody……….I really did get a lot this year – Mom will be taking a bunch of my older toys to the shelter……I have so much and I am so lucky and I would wish that for EVERYCAT and EVERYPUP to have even HALF the love that I have……………..

  24. You can nap anywhere and anytime you want Sammy. I won’t be having a big celebration for my Gotcha Day Jan 3 either because it is also now Sage’s Gotcha Day and this is her very first. I am going to try to help Mom L get a little something together for her. Aw hugs, Savvy

    • Hi KB!! I did get a lot of stuff for Christmas didn’t I. Mom will probably be wrapping up some of my old toys to give me for my birthday because I have so many they will LOOK like brand new ones to me! HAHAHAHA
