Meowwww…..OOPS…..I mean GOBBLE GOBBLE!
Oh boy!!! Don’t get me wrong now……I have a good appreciation for the bird. Birds of all kinds. I love watching them from the other side of a window (in my house) AND I like watching them from the yard as they dive bomb my head. Those bluejays are mean but I love watching………………however my FAVORITE bird to watch is the one Mom usually roasts twice a year around here (sometimes more)……….for Thanksgiving AND Christmas…………MR. TURKEY!
Oh yeah!
This year my Mom and Dad will be away on Thanksgiving but have promised that they will bring a “kitty bag” back from the mountains with some turkey in it. Just for ME. So I’ll forgive them for deserting me – after all it’s only one night and they bring me food? Oh yeah….I can forgive them alright!

The last thing I want to say is that yesterday the blogosphere was FULL of sweet tributes to Nylablue – sweet friend to all. Thinking of Nylablue now residing in her beautiful “Summerland” makes me happy…….my sadness is being replaced by the joy of knowing she was ready to go. She said she’d send me a sign after…………..this morning as Mom and I were walking in the dark in the backyard, we saw a VERY bright and twinkling star – Mom told me that was Nylablue winking at me………….it was bluish in color – not as pretty as Nylablue’s eyes but pretty nonetheless…………Mom sang “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” to me then we came back inside……………….we both had smiles!!

I know a lot of people don’t celebrate Thanksgiving but I’m glad we do because I do like a bit of turkey and my Mom only fixes it a couple times of the year – I need to get her to make it “just because” instead of for an occasion!!!!

Aww very sweet about Nylablue and the blue star. We are having Thanksgiving with CH’s brother’s family and The Mama and little Wes Man. Turkey, homemade NOODLES, dressing, jellied cranberry sauce (if we can smoosh it out of the can), mashed potatoes, yams, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie, and german chocolate cake! We are hoping CH’s brother will share the cake.. it’s for his birthday made by The Mama. I LOVE Thanksgiving.. it is my favorite holiday Sammy! Family and FOOD!!! See you tomorrow morning.. 🙂

Oh Miss Pix what a FEAST you’re gonna have!!! And you get to have some “squishy” time with West Man…..YAY!!! The menu sounds divine…..we aren’t sure what all will be at Mom and Dad’s celebration in the mountains but we know for sure turkey, dressing, mashed and sweet potatoes and my Mom’s green bean casserole AND pumpkin cheesecake………I think my Auntie Carol is making a special cranberry sauce……..the only thing I need my Mom and Dad to remember is “BRING TURKEY HOME FOR SAMMY” !!!!!

Of course, that twinkling star was our lovely angel, Nylablue. The only reason we are managing this at all is that it was her time to run free in Summerland. Yes, believe me, I was absolutely thrilled to see that shooting star….Mom and I were overwhelmed. But Nylablue promised to send me a sign and she did! No turkey huh? Well ham is pretty darn good – I do like a bit of ham myself. Mom is kind of glad she’s not roasting a turkey this year because she won’t have to figure out what kinds of interesting recipes she can hide turkey in until Easter (hahahaha) like at your house!!!

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, so no turkey here. In fact I don’t even get it at Christmas because mum doesn’t like it much. We have roast beast instead. The only turkey I get is out of a tin.

MMMMM! Roast Beast is every bit as good as turkey for sure………Mom always gives me a taste or two when she makes a roast. NOMMY! Turkey in a tin isn’t bad…..but it’s not QUITE as good as the real thing! Even though you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving there is much to be thankful for during the holidays – like the fact that Santa Paws will be visiting all of us soon!!

This morning it was cloudy and Sam and I were so disappointed that we couldn’t see Nylablue’s star OR maybe even another sign – that shooting star was amazing. I cried the entire time I sang “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” to Sammy while we were outside. Such an amazing community full of love for you and her has rallied together these past days hoping to cheer you up AND honoring Nylablue’s life. I’m glad you feel Nylablue and Mingflower with you because of course they ARE there – – – taking a break from interviewing candidates no doubt (;))!!
We love you too…………get lots of rest and try not to grieve too much as Nylablue would want you to be happy both for her AND for you as well!

The first Thanksgiving in our new house and mom will be gone to human friend’s home! Well, we’ll do what we do best while she’s gone – sleep – and expect goodies when she gets home.
