It’s that time of the year again……………….National Feral Cat Day………………..
There are a lot of posters honoring this day – I just liked the colors on this one!
I was presumed to be a feral kitten………….found under an abandoned house – no siblings or Mom (they probably ran to keep from getting caught and left poor little ME behind) – and then taken to the shelter out in the far reaches of this County. Lucky me because two days after I landed THERE, Mom and Dad came in looking for a kitten and found me!!! Lucky THEM!
I have a soft spot in my heart for ferals as well as all homeless cats and dogs and other animals EVERYWHERE on the planet. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about how fortunate I was – – – – and that I don’t wish every animals could know love, safety, and comfort like I’ve known for almost 15 years.
Hug your cat today – or if you’re lucky enough to have multiple cats – give them each an extra squeeze.
Remember to get your Caber Toss photos in by the 25th…..the clock is ticking! I’m having fun photoshopping the entries onto the bodies of some amazing caber tossers – the real deal……….it will be fun to show them at Kyla’s Highland Games on October 27th. Hi Summer…..I agree. This is a cause we can wrap our paws around…….it’s a BIG issue and a BIG deal and I know that I’m one lucky guy because I could have had a much different life (if in fact I’d lived at ALL). We’ll celebrate today by giving our feral visitors an EXTRA big bowl of food!!!! YES dear girl I got your FABULOUS ‘Ween photo! I love it to bits……

Hi Miss Ann……I guess people who have pets are more sensitive to things like all the ferals who are homeless and need help from humans but almost always we read about pet people helping others….it makes my heart VERY VERY happy!!!!!

I will look for a stick for my caber tossing picture :o) I hope that all ferals have a human who has an eye on them and brings food and help when they are in need. And the best would be they all would find a home whre they get the love they deserve.

WE cannot believe our old lady Mom forgot about Feral cat day. It is the most important day of the year. Almost all of us that live here and that is a lot, are feral cats or born to a feral Mom. They are great cats and make great pets;
Just wanted to thank you for coming by and wishing Mew Mew well. She was certainly a feral kitty when she arrived here just screaming her head off. She was so tiny she could go though the chain link fence. But she is the Mom’s best buddy now. It took a while though.
You all have a great day. Your Halloween costume things sounds like fun. Our Old lady doesn’t do Photo shop so we can’t do all that stuff.

Well your Mom can’t be expected to remember every single special day for heavens sake especially since little Mew Mew is poorly! We sure hope she will be alright…..I’m glad she knew where to go to get safe and taken care of back when she joined your home. 😉 Yow Sammy when me waz tossed out frum da nastee breedurz me waz utterlee terryfied n alone…phankfully sum Hu’Manz saw me wanderin ’round losted n dey called da Sheltur n 2 Hu’Manz came to get me wif a speshell travel carrier….me waz so hungree me went in n da door closed n me waz scared butt den me figured nuffin cuud bee as bad as beein outside alone..
Off to da Sheltur me went n onlee spent da afturnoon dere ’cause me went to a new home (it waz not much bettur den da breedur’z butt dat iz another storey…)
Me cuud not have lived as a feral; me wuud have died fer shure…
We iz blessed; trulee blessed!
