    • Hi Summer! Yes….well I can smell Fall too – people start having fires in their fireplaces and we can smell that AND the leaves have a smell when they crinkle up and fall on the ground……..it’s a NICE smell though. Our trees are starting to change color quickly now………

    • Hi Austin!!! Gotta have head protection when you’re surrounded by huge oak trees! They come down like rocks on my poor head! Glad you’re getting nice weather like we are – Fall may be falling and the temps are changing but we can STILL have some fun right my friend?

  14. That hard hat cracks me up Sammy! We are going to have to wear them here. Good crop of acorns this year, walnuts and hickory nuts too. Can’t let the vehicles sit outside what with the acorns and nuts flinging themselves to the ground! You have much more color than we do. We are still pretty green, not too Fall-ish at all. We had cheeseburgers last night.. how were yours?

    • YES – there are more acorns than EVER here – does that mean a BAD winter? That’s what we think…..the squirrels are grabbing them all and already refurbishing their nests….EEEEEK! We were surprised that the maples and dogwoods were changing already – usually closer to Halloween! Our cheeseburgers were OUTTA SIGHT! Perfectly done…..Mom and Dad had dinner at the picnic table out back – it was a perfect evening. Mom made potato salad and baked beans and had a Mangorita while Dad had a couple of brewskis with his burger. I just took in the air……..it was perfection!!!

    • Same here…..Fall isn’t TOO bad – especially if you have head protection from those vicious acorns……but winter – NO THANKS! When I was little I loved playing in the snow – now I’m inside on a heating pad!!! My how things have changed!

  20. We are very ready for fall because that brings us that much closer to winter and that means SNOW!!!! For some reason Mom doesn’t agree with us and is hoping for a long and colorful autumn!

  27. What pretty colors. here all the trees is yellow! Or in the process of turning yellow! If wes don’t get anymore snow or any big winds it will be gorgeous. But alas, in Calgary, that does not happen furry often. And Sammy, that selfie of yous makes mes want to comes over and kisses yous all over! Yous looks marvelous darling!

  32. Sadly, we don’t get fall colors here. We have a really long summer, maybe a week of fall and then winter, which of course is still very mild. That’s all I’ve ever known but mom says she wishes we had more seasonal change here. Your selfie is so cute and I love your helmet!

    • Here in Virginia we have four very distinct seasons with four very distinct weather patterns……although this summer was rather WEIRD…..cooler than usual………and we’re wondering if that means the REST of the seasons will be “off” too!!!! It is just so beautiful here with the kinds of trees we have…..maples especially!

  35. Oh Sammy my firend, you is looking sooooooo comfertabuls! Please don’t pass out from shock that I am actually leaving a MESSAGE here! The Human has been a GIGANTIC fail for the past six weeks or so–honestly, she’s worse than useless. And then our computer died and we losted everything and so we was in a funk. I even missed Prate Day–can you BELIEVE it???

    But now we has a new one and swears we will back stuff up soooooooooo much better!

  36. Sammy, that is the most incredibly adorable selfie. We love your little polydactyl toes. It may not be official yet, but fall came her a couple of weeks ago. Such a strange, cool summer and an early fall. Mom thinks it means another case of the hots is going to come in October. We sure hope she is wrong.     • Hi KB! Glad you liked my Selfie……as long as we can get that close to me to take a photo, we’ll pawticipate for sure!! Fall fell here a while back too and we’re wondering what that may signal about Winter this year……we have a feeling it won’t be GOOD! HAHAHA
