Bacon Buttie

Ah yes……BACON!   The British often call a bacon sandwich a bacon buttie or bacon sarnie…….I googled both of those and what popped up in photos looks not only YUMMY but identical to my “ideal bacon sandwich”………so I know that should I ever travel to England I will be having my usual bacon sandwich…..with tea!

This morning though I’m having bacon and a bite of pancake because that’s what Mom’s making today………….actually I don’t really like the pancake as much as the syrup that MIGHT be found on the pancake.   Aren’t I just awful?????

Today Mom and Dad are heading next door for the neighbor’s Olympics themed birthday party for their oldest son who is turning nine.  Ought to be tons of fun…………ought to be some leftovers……..ought to be brought back to THE CAT who is waiting patiently for his parents to return with a treat………notice the word OUGHT……..we’ll see if it happens!    Yesterday afternoon Mom helped the neighbor out by letting her use our oven to cook one of the Greek foods she’s serving to the kids and parents coming to the party………..our house smelled FABULOUS for a whole hour…………..it was spanakopita and it’s like a spinach pie with crispy phyllo dough on top……….MAMA MIA (oops – that’s not Greek, it’s Italian!).

 Looks good to me!  I could sprinkle a bit of catnip on top!!!!!

So what’s for breakfast at your house this morning?    Hmm?????
