HIYA!!  SAVANNAH HERE!!!

I am back again talking about my pal Tigger.

Will I like my next place? Will I like my next place?

Tigger’s question in the caption on the above photo says it all for him…

Since being owner surrendered to the county kill shelter on June 29th…as of this week, August 13…Tigger is in his SIXTH foster situation…through NO FAULT of his own.

What? I have to go away again? What? I have to go away again?

His situation is getting more and more frustrating for him and I am worried that he can easily fall into depression. What a guy Tigger is.  Just read the description Mom L wrote to help Contra Costa Humane Society learn more about him:

Tigger has never met a human lap he did not like. He is outgoing, greets strangers with aplomb and grace. He is a great feline host and makes sure he plays with anyone who will give him some time. Even at…

    • Thanks Miss Annie…..stories like this make me sad. I’m so glad that I’m safe and secure at 14. It’s hard to imagine being ten and being dumped at a kill shelter then going through five foster homes. I hope things work out for Tigger too!!

    • It really is sad……being that age and getting dumped at a kill shelter then all those failed foster homes? Has to be frightening – no wonder he’s having problems adjusting but it sounds like he’s a sweet guy who just needs a STABLE home….again.

  1. Hi Sammy, We just added Tigger’s badge to our sidebar. Mom says that she would fly to California and get him if he was able to socialize with other kitties. It is hard to believe he is a senior. Look at that adorable kitten face. We are purring up a storm for him. Mom Linda is tenacious, and we know she will find him a home, but it helps to spread the word! • Hi Kitties….I agree – Tigger does NOT look like he’s ten. It’s too bad he wants to be an “only” cat I agree…..I have to wonder if part of that persnickety-ness is due to his situation – an only for all those years then getting dumped at a kill shelter then having to be in foster homes with varied situations five times – I feel bad for him. Love his nose freckles!!! Thanks for putting his badge on your sidebar…we figure the more the merrier and indeed Mom Linda is a TIGER when it comes to helping!!

    • That’s what I think too……everyone is expecting Tigger to be just fine with all the upheaval and adjustment he’s had to try and make……I’m amazed he’s as loving and sweet as he sound……he’s had it very tough.

    • I think visiting in shelters is a good idea as you say – they get some pets and some interface with people then they won’t be so scared to go home with people again. Poor Tigger just had too many homes in too many bad situations…..I’m hoping the right person comes along soon!

  3. Sammy you are the very best for re posting about a Tigger. I asked if Ava Gardner the Cat would share him on her FB page, she has 487,000+ …and she DID. So far 3000+ shares on Tigger’s post and even better, Ava is in San Francisco!!
