Yep – even on radar/Doppler yesterday it showed RAIN here………almost all day supposedly our town was in the middle of a big huge batch of rain…..did we see it? NOPE! Not a drop – not even a splash or splatter or squirt. NONE – ZIP – ZERO. Now why am I even making mention of that? Because my Dad, believing the weather dudes, bought some lawn fertilizer that needs to be watered in ideally…….so of course he put it down – with an 80% chance of rain who wouldn’t???!!!
Strangely, even now because I just checked yet again, the radar/Doppler show RAIN HERE AGAIN this morning. I realize of course that it’s probably evaporating before it gets down from the rain clouds but heck. Dad’s wishing he had done what he usually does which is IGNORE the weather forecasters. So much for trusting them “just once” right? HAHAHAHA
So I survived the housecleaning and mostly because I knew if I could live through that, it would lead to BACON DAY……and here it is…..in all its’ glory. Bacon Bacon BACON!
The bacon decision-making process…..
Nothing on our agenda here at the Kimmell Mansion for the whole weekend so I think I’ll have Mom and Dad’s undivided attention. Not that an almost non-stop napping kitty needs a whole lot of attention of course…….with my medication I’m now taking for my wonky thyroid, I’m napping a bit more than usual (I know – how can you sleep more than 24 hours a day??? Right???). I’ll eat my breakfast which will be bacon AND raspberry yogurt then head for my tent.
What a life huh?

Sammy I feel for your dad..that grass is hard yards got get in right at the sweet time..and yes when the rain that’s coming takes a bypass it really cooks your chips as I say..but bacon is a constant on a Saturday so at least one gingerbread man will be happy 🙂 my sound card needs fertiliser so I can’t see the video..dang….must get around to fixing it…but for me the weekend will be spent on the couch..had a bit of a whirlwind ‘trip’ on some black ice..as bacon says piggy down 🙂 have a great weekend Sammy hugs and loves Fozziemum xx

It’s 65 here this morning at 6:15AM and we think it will be a cloudy day. Maybe Mr. Rain will visit us today? We got about one hundred and three drops of rain yesterday on our way to the grocery store. Just enough rain to mess up CH’s wash job on our vehicle! We NEED rain! Bacon day for you Sammy! We are changing things up this morning and having sausage patties, biscuits and cream gravy! CH knows your Dad’s pain with the fertilizer. We are taking it easy here at The Tiny Ten too after two trips into St. Louis. We don’t want to see the inside of a car today!
So, Sammy, do you think after your ginger self gets use to the dose of thyroid meds you won’t sleep as much? In any case, enjoy the naps and enjoy your Saturday with or without rain!

One hundred and three drops is one hundred and three drops MORE than we got!!! Although last night we either had a HEAVY dew or a few drops of WET….not enough to do anything including wash in my Dad’s lawn food stuff. Sigh. I hope you get your wish and don’t have to travel today – maybe travel out to the porch for WHINE (!) time later like my Mom and Dad but not to run errands or go anywhere. On the meds – I won’t even know for another week or so when I have follow-up blood work whether this ONE pill is working or if I’ll have to take TWO. We’re hoping I can stick with one…..if extra sleepies are the only side effects I get I’ll be lucky….some of the other side effects are NOT good!!! Keep your

Hi Easy! So far I’m loving the yogurt thing – haven’t noticed the medication but then Dad crushes the pill to DUST before it gets mixed in my yogurt. I’ve been eating yogurt for YEARS and so far so good with the “non-cheesecake” after effects. I hope it stays that way…….so does Mom….because she doesn’t have a good alternative to yogurt for hiding my pill!! Bacon – YEP – I’m loving it – too bad my pill doesn’t come in BACON flavor!

I’ve got pills once with beef-flavor. It was such an anti -pee-o-tic thingy… and it were the same pills mom’s BFF got as she visited cuba and became sick there.. fortunately we both survived that adventure… and by now we are not sure who got the wrong pills. Think she was the one, it makes no sense to add beef-flavor to pills for bipeds..

BACON! On the menu here every single weekend…….and sometimes if I’m VERY lucky, during the week too! I’m a bacon-o-holic. Yep – I admit it. I think you have a good attitude about the weather blabbers….listen but go with your instinct. HA! The weather guys around here are really AWFUL…..or CONFUSED…..or SOMETHING……this morning there was an 80% chance of rain – it’s now a 10% and not a drop in sight. Oh well…..we can hope for tomorrow anyway. There’s ALWAYS HOPE! Mom gets up every morning at 4:30…..yep – she’s wacky that way….actually that’s “our” time together while Dad still sleeps…..QUIET time before the bear awakes!

We actually did get the rain and lots of it. Can’t trust those weather guessers, though. Rest up today, cause tomorrow is birthday party day at Cat Scouts. Our humans had bacon today, and none of us got even one bite. We did try some new foods today that we are supposed to review. The two picky eaters, Giulietta and Fiona, turned their noses up at it, and C.J. hurled. Guess that one isn’t going to make the cut. Several others still to try. Have a good nappy, Sammy. It’s rainy season now in the Philippines and storms are coming in and out as usual. Nothing new. Grampa used to ignore the weather forecasters. When they say it’ll rain, Mr. Sun shines like it’s summer. When they say the weather will be bootiful, it will SURELY rain. It’s okay to have some rain showers, just not too strong that will cause some areas here to flood.
