Oh gosh!  It’s Straw Hat Day in the blogosphere and I’m celebrating by posting my straw hat photo (don’t I look dashing?) here and in the Tabby Cat Club where you’ll see all kinds of fabulous tabby friends in their hats today!

Mom helped me locate this hat I’m wearing…….tons of swell hats pop up when you google “straw hat” but I needed just the RIGHT one with the RIGHT band on it and I think this one says “SAMMY”……all over it – don’t you??

When I found out about Straw Hat Day the first place I checked to see if I could find the Purrrrrrrfect hat was my favorite Cat Hat shop on Etsy.   Have you ever seen this site?   These are all homemade and any cat who’s a fashionista really needs to get familiar with this amazing shop…………….she’s got hats for EVERY occasion……..I have friends who wear the berets and they look fabulous in them………one of these days Mom will fork out the money and get me one of these because – well – don’t we all deserve an amazing chapeau (that’s HAT for those of you who don’t speak French!).    Here’s the link to Scarborough Fair………cat hats and other “headgear” for the discriminating cat (and a few dogs)!

Mom was going to post some updated pix of our gardens since things have grown a tad since we first planted them (of course), but rain off and on has kept her from heading out in the WET grass with her camera to snap photos.  You’ll just have to stay in suspense for that little treat.

That’s about it for today – the BIG EVENT is the Straw Hat Day and can expect to see a lot of them around the blogosphere – these things spread like wildfire you know…….the Cat Blogosphere is a magical place!

      • Yep Sammy, wees saw a lot of dem tu. didn’t hav a chance tu du tu much commentin’ yet, wees still twyin’ tu get caught up fwum yesfuwday. cuz mommys gunna hav a busy day tuday and hers nevew made it tu bed last nite…again. 🙂 dis seems tu be hapunin’ mowe and mowe.

        Meez can’t wait fuw yous wain tu stop so wees can see mowe of yous purretty gawden. Bet yous can’t wait eevew so yous can get back outside.

  13. Sammy you look like the one and only gentle-cat! That’s the look for a picnic at Downton Abbey, I’m sure. I like Etsy, there you can buy fabulous things, mostly pawmade and nearly every piece is unique, that’s sooooo great!

    • Hi Easy! I do look rather “Downton Abbey-ish” in my boater don’t I? I hadn’t thought of that but those were “the days”……..Etsy is great – so many totally cool things there including our pal Coccolino’s Mom’s bed and blanket store!!

  16. Dapper my friend, simply Dapper. I wandered over to that Etsy page too. Wowie Cat-zowie, me thinks we should start to sew up some of our own 😉 Quite a talent there. Petals and Blossum don’t even like a collar though, so I’m certain a hat would be out-of-the-meowsome, LOL They are not as co-operative as you Sammy Sugar-Pants (I just made up that last part cause you’re so sweet) xoxoxoK

    • Say – I think I like that nickname Miss Boomdee! Sammy Sugar-Pants…..yep – it works for me! I’m the same way about “clothes” although I have put up with an amazing array of things for the ten seconds it takes Mom to take a photo….socks, scarves even a sweater once. What can I say – when I’m sleepy I’m cooperative! HAHAHAHAHA Don’t you just LOVE that hat shop though???

  24. VERY handsome, S. I could hardly tell which one was Maurice and which one was my friend Sammy. Mom bought me a hat at Petco, and I wore it last night when she Instagrammed my #idolselfie to American Idol. They didn’t show my picture, though. I think JLo was jealous of my hat….
