What? Sammy’s Café? What would that be you might ask? Well, the scoop is this……………….the last three days we have had a little visitor on my front porch and fleetingly through the yard on occasion. A little (probably year old and no more) black and white tuxie kitty with light green eyes. She’s shy, but becoming more used to us…….she has “won over” Stevie – our Frequent Moocher cat from the neighborhood who comes to my house for breakfast and dinner every day. Stevie isn’t easily won over either. Stevie tries to beat ME up every time I am in my own yard and she comes up to me……..I hiss appropriately and roll to my back ready to fight if I have to but she backs down and gets the message (mainly because my Mom yells at her to STOP)……..Anyway, that’s off the point – Stevie and the little kitty (who Mom has named Tina and who my Dad has named Marilyn) are getting along.
My front porch is an “equal opportunity mooching porch”……..anyone in need of a meal – COME ON DOWN TO SAM’S CAFE’ !!! I think the word’s getting out in the neighborhood.
Speaking of neighborhood, not one soul is claiming this little tuxie – nobody knows who she belongs to……the little boys next door even went door to door to see if they could find her home. So, for now, she’s an outdoor kitty with Stevie and we’re feeding her. Here she is:
Mom knows that because I’m 14 and because I’m formerly feral and very used to being an “only” here with my parents, I can’t have an inside cat living here. Sound selfish? Well, we’ve tried and cats pick on me and I get upset and am afraid (I hate to admit it but it’s true!)………..so that’s why we have helped cats out from time to time but they live outside – not inside.
So that’s the big news in my life………….between that excitement and getting ready for my black tie buffet blogaversary party on Saturday – well – me and Mom are BUSY!
A reminder that if you’re coming to my party in your “fancy clothes” and want Jeeves to introduce you when you arrive at my party, send your photos of you in your best gear by Friday noon. You don’t have to get all dressed up though to come by – we’re celebrating all day long! WOO HOO!!!!!

That little tuxie girl is very cute! She reminds me lots of one of my other blogging pals, Katie Isabella!

You’re right! She does look like Katie! I hadn’t thought of that…….Tina is a sweetheart and I’m SURE she belongs to someone – just strange that nobody is claiming her. We’ll take care of her though…….

Hi Sammy! We put food out for the feral outdoor kitties too. And one of them is a cute little tuxy girl too! With there being seven of us Mumsy has taken in already. Cat Daddy Junior supports putting food out for the outside kitties, but draws the line at another getting to move in!
LikeLike
Mom would really like it if I would “allow” another kitty but I’m afraid at my crotchety old age and being brought up as an “only” it just “ain’t gonna happen!”……….so we’ll help any kitty who needs it OUTSIDE! You have quite a pile of kitties already – seven is a LOT!

She’s really very cute and if Stevie has taken to her, you’ll no doubt find she’s moved right into Sam’s Cafe! Great you can feed her while a home is sought.

I can’t believe she doesn’t have a home….she’s gorgeous and young and I’m SURE someone around here knows her but nobody is claiming her. Meanwhile Sammy’s Cafe’ is at the ready and she even has a box and blanket on the front porch if she needs a comfy bed!

Tina or Marilyn ( I wanna be loved by you, huh?) is a cute kitty , I love the black spot on her nose. Sammy I agree that it isn’t easy or sometimes it’s even impossible to add another furfriend to a family. I’m an only child too, I’m nice to nearly all dogs, but to share my crib that goes toooooo far. Have a funny thursday and maybe you should buy a sign for Sammy’s Cafe: open 24/7 :o)

I know plenty of cats who need to be the only cat in the home, so that’s understandable, Sammy. You and your Mom are still doing everything you can for that cute tuxie, and I think that’s great. If her home can’t be found, maybe she and Stevie will become part time roomies!

We saw her briefly this morning – Stevie was mean to her so off she went. Mom had some words with Stevie about being gracious and remembering how SHE came to be associated with us and maybe next time Tina appears, things will be better! I hope so……

Oh Sammy, she’s DARLING! I think she’s very lucky she found your Outdoor Cafe! And believe me, I understand about being an only. It has taken 10 years for the Human to get me to (sort of) trust her and (sort of) bond with her. She is not willing to upset my apple cart–we live in an apartment and she doesn’t want to chance bringing in a kitty and having a war break out without enough neutral territory. So I am staying an only, and that’s that.
Sorry I’ve been scarce Buddy. It’s That Time of Year, or so the Human says as she complains 24/7.

Hi Spitty! Sharing? Not!!! I’ve tolerated Stevie and I’ll tolerate Tina but inside? “Ain’t happenin'”!! I like being an only and after 14 years I’m not likely to change. HAHAHAHA Anyway, I was happy to see a comment from THE KING in my email inbox this morning……swing by my blogaversary pawty tomorrow if you have a chance!!

Tina Marilyn sure is a little beauty. It’s O.K that you are an only kitty. Sometimes it is really hard to learn to adapt. Shelly was an only kitty when she came into our house. Mom agreed to take her as a foster kitty but she immediately wormed her way into mom’s heart. It took her a really long time to adapt to having brothers and sisters and learning how to share. She was a young cat at the time. We think it would be very hard for a 14 year old cat to suddenly have siblings! Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)
