…..Heading Home…..
After having a light breakfast (so nobody would get motion sickness) our intrepid travelers gathered outside the beautiful Stardust Hotel for one final look at the stars from the perspective of the Moon. Everyone got a bit misty-eyed thinking the trip was coming to a close BUT everyone was also glad to be on their way back to the beautiful blue marble called Earth.
Everyone took in the scenery on the shuttle ride to the launch pad……..
….Mission Control….ready to launch….
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 BLASTOFF!
On board Ralph everyone chatted and exchanged remembrances of their favorite moments on the Moon…….
Some napped – some played games – some compared souvenirs but everyone agreed it had been a great trip!
Getting closer to Earth was exciting………….
But stepping back on green grass of home – that was the VERY BEST feeling in the whole universe!!
Everyone who won a prize in the contests – we’ll mail you next week to let you know your surprises are on the way and thanks to everyone who played along with us on this amazing trip of a lifetime!

Hi Cupcake! You are slim and trim as can be – just like a supermodel – I’m sure your Mom doesn’t think you’re getting fat….you look PURRRFECT to me!!! I agree that the weightless room would be fun though….I never did get in there – it was constantly “in use” on the trip home!

Hi Easy! Didn’t you notice at the awards banquet that there was green moon cheese on the buffet? Yep – sure was….but I hope you didn’t EAT any of it because it tasted so much like that cheesecake and I hear from those who took some that they wound up having “ISSUES” in their bathrooms all night. One thing you don’t want to do is have an upset tummy in SPACE!!!!!

HAHAHAHA……a “food fountain” – sounds totally scary (and messy) doesn’t it?? HAHAHAHA……well they should have had a sign on that green cheese on the buffet line to beware of the green cheese – I think a lot of us smuggled some of that home and sadly your Mom made a cheesecake out of it….oh well….I’m just glad you didn’t eat any! ESPECIALLY in the “weightless room” on board Ralph…..now that would have been scary!

Sammy, thanks so much for organizing this pawsome trip. We enjoyed the flight up and back on Ralph, the Stardust was fabulous, the noms were great and the company of such a great bunch of friends was purrfect. We loved the Moon trip.

LOL, those kitties floating around made me laugh like crazy….that looked like so much fun, I can only imagine haha. Ralph was a cozy ride home and everything was super cool. We are the luckier terrestrials ever, just look at our BE-autiful blue planet ! A visit to the moon sure makes you appreciate it more. Your home!! What an amazing trip! I was hanging on with the tips of my claws. This was the best trip ever. Sammy and mom Pam did a great job. Everybody is safe at home and telling tails of their adventures. I’ll bet Raz will send me tons of messages on Cat Scouts to make sure I know every detail of his trip. hehehe
