          • We think Spring will bring plenty of buds on the azaleas anyway – Mom was out there yesterday looking at the azaleas (brrrrr) and said she can still see lots of buds – the spots where the deer ate had buds too but even with the “trim” it should still be pretty this Spring!!

      • Oh, sorry that dear Mommy’s azaleas are tasted by deers. Maybe they want to feed their hungry babies. I don’t know which one is better to do, either help the wild nature or not to… Dear Mommy Pam would know the best 🙂

  3. Brrrr….looks cold, Sammy!
One of Motor Mommy’s friends has a pet-sitter business. She uses “Press and Seal” plastic wraps on the doggies’ paws when they go out in the snow!
Ask your mom if she thinks you’d like that…..

    • Well, I wanted to be brave and pretend like I didn’t mind the cold but once I took that brief roll around in the sun I was really READY for some HEAT! So much for bravery!

      Happy Sunday Miss June!

  4. Sammy I just love your toes! We got lots of snow overnight. Still have that cold weather too. Now the weather lady say 25 below instead of 50 below for Mon/Tues. You and your mom enjoy your day.

  5. That is such a pretty picture, it’s too bad it is so cold outside. Our pawrents like to look at the tracks in the snow too. Our dad is out snow blowing and it is 6 F with a wind chill of -8 F. We can hardly wait for spring!!! Snuggle with your pawrents and stay warm, Sammy. Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)

  9. Sweet Sammy we are so happy for you that you had some sunshine to roll around in. Wasn’t it cold out there though, that snow looks really cold. Mumsy loves the snow picture with the deer tracks. Hugs and nose kisses

    • I’m sure you MUCH prefer not worrying about cold weather or snow………..although my Mom remembers when she lived in Clearwater that there were some days she had to wear a winter coat (!!) but no snow ever.

  10. Now THAT looks cold indeed! We almost had a deer on our car grille this afternoon (oopsie) – and uh, didja know we totaled our plane with a deer strike?

Yup, thankfully we were coming in VERY slow. Three deer ran across the runway right in front of us! (There was fur on the prop – ewwwwwwwwwww.)

    • Oh wow! The plane hit a deer (or should I say a deer ran out in front of the plane?!)………my goodness…….Dad’s airport runway where he flies is in a great big open field – although there are some trees where deer could hide, at least he can SEE them while he’s “up”….but there’s so little you can do if one decides to run like the dickens in front of your car OR plane!! I bet my Dad would like to hear about the experience with that deer!!! (although I’m sure your Mom and Dad want to FORGET it!).

      Yikes……..

  11. That looks so cold. The rest of our snow melted today. But tomorrow (Tuesday) is supposed to have a high of 23 degrees. You can bet we will all be staying in the house. You need to be studying those deer tracks, Sammy. Mau says he thinks you all may be getting the opportunity to earn a tracking badge in the near future based on a reply Denmaster made to his suggesting one. Stay warm. Have a great week. • Oh Kitties you’re lucky your snow melted….some of ours did but not all….and we might get a bit more this afternoon but they’re “wishy-washy” on that forecast (so what’s new?!?!). I saw where Mau had suggested a new merit badge for tracking – that would be SO MUCH FUN! I think we all got a taste of that on the practice quest so why not be able to earn an actual badge with that skill! WOO HOO!!! Stay warm everyone….I know I’ll be INSIDE and Stevie will also be INSIDE (her outside heated house that is).

      Hugs, Sammy

  12. What a beautiful scene, Sammy. Did you see the deer who made those tracks? Looks like you found a good sun puddle. To the moon…to the moon, we’re going to the moon!
