Beddy Time

Standard

Good Morning!    Yawn…………….well, it’s sheet changing day and I’m going to make it as difficult as I usually do for Mom to get those old sheets off and the new sheets on.  If I handled Thursday in some other way, she wouldn’t know how to behave or what to do!  She’s just prepared for me to park my tocks on the bed and be so cute that she wouldn’t DARE disturb me….sneaky huh??

I bet you do the same thing – now come on – tell the truth.  Either you do like me and park yourself OR you like all that running around under the fresh sheets where you can leave your furs all over the place………or if you’re lucky, you’ll get your nails dug in and maybe even poke some nice holes in the sheets while you’re in there!!!   Now I wouldn’t do that of course (tee hee) but I do like to make things DIFFICULT.  It’s what I do – hey – anything for entertainment right?

We might get some snow today – just flurries and they won’t stick (they say) but who knows.  The weather peeps don’t ALWAYS tell the truth now do they???   If it does snow I’ll get Mom to take a photo with the flashy box because some of you (no kidding) LIKE that white stuff!!  Me – I’m thinking BEACH WEATHER……..sigh.

Now THIS is more like it!

Now THIS is more like it!

Have a good Thursday – it’s Beddy Day here……….I’m gonna make the most of it!

  1. Yesterday was buddy day here. Addycat likes for me to put the bottom sheet on the mattress, then she climbs on top and i have to make the bed over her. sam, Why Does she Like It SO much? She turns into a lump in the freshly made bed and stays there for awhile…

    • HAHAHA…that’s exactly what I used to do….Mom would just go ahead and finish making the bed with me as a big lump in the middle and I’d have to CRAWL out on my own!!! It makes a VERY nice and cozy private tent!!

Whee like diving in piles of dirty washing when the hoomans are sorting washloads. It’s always funny when they scream and jump after whee pop up under the polo shirts!

  4. That’s Caturday in our house and we can’t wait! First we the Puffs and I wrestle around in all the bedding as mom tries to take it off the bed, then I snoopervise putting everything back on and attack it all from under while Ralphie attacks me from on top. We have been know to poke hole and have even torn a sheet or two. The Puffs join in when it is time to put the covers back on and have to roll around and play fight on top of them. Mom calls it her three ring circus. I don’t know what that is but it sure is fun!

    • HA! Three ring circus is probably a very good description of what goes on when bed linen is changed at YOUR house…..when I was younger I was a one ring circus all on my own but these days I just try to lie in the middle of everything and be an obstruction – that gets the job done!! Hee Hee

  5. You look so cute on those sheets, Sammy….how could your Mom possibly be upset with you???
Motor Mommy says their former kitty, Beezy, used to LOVE to play under the sheets when Motor Mommy changed them. I just like to watch from my window seat!
    Happy Beddy Day!

    • Hi Sundae! You’re probably smart to just snoopervise from afar instead of being in the middle of things. Humans aren’t particularly GRATEFUL for our “up close and personal” interference in the sheet changing process!!! Happy Sunny Day (I hope!).

  6. Meow Sammy!

Feel free to teleport down to us in Florida! You can help our Girl Human change sheets on TWO beds! Just think — four kitties helping the Girl Human do the sheets! She’ll be done in no time!

Then we can all teleport down to the beach! How about it?

    • Uh oh…..more rain again Easy? I hope it’s not so bad you get washed away when you go out to do your pawtographing! We have sunny skies and 37 degrees so it’s cold but pretty. I’m still spending the day snoozing – even though it’s nice enough to take a walk outside!!

  7. We had a flurry event yesterday! It was very pretty and just in time for wine time on The Porch. And it didn’t last long and none of the little flakes bonded and misbehaved and covered the ground. Just how I like it! Enjoy the changing of the sheets today Sam! CH and I are thinking a little beach weather is called for.. 😀

    • Well our flurry happened last night and was pretty for about ten minutes this morning until the sun came out – it’s gone – not even a hint of what it was! OK by me – I can concentrate on bed-changing!!

  8. I think you have it right Cousin – thoughts of sand, beach and palm trees are much in order today. Yawn – I’m actually sleep myself this morning. I guess it was all of that running yesterday. For the sheets – snorts – our purr things here like to play a game with daddy when he pulls them for the laundry. They get just out of hands reach so he can’t get them. It makes making the bed very interesting. Once, he made the bed and trapped Mouse Girl inside of the sheets. Talking about squealing. That girl has a set of lungs on her – snorts. XOXO – Bacon

  9. Eddie and Lucy love to jump all over the bed while our mummy tries to make it. One will jump on, run across the bed, and she’ll grab him and put him on the floor, while the other is just getting started on the other side. It’s tons of fun! Lots of love and doggie kisses from Simone the collie and Eddie & Lucy the JRs.

  10. Don’t think we are going to get any snow, but we would gladly follow you to the beach or anywhere warm for that matter. We expect a quiet day today. Dad’s going to the dentist, and we expect Mom will be at Cat Scouts with Mau. Enjoy a good snoozy day. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at http://www.thecatonmyhead.com. • We got a tiny dusting of snow which promptly melted once the sun came out! No complaints from me though – I’m not doing a whole lot other than Scouts stuff and watching Mom do laundry. How fun is that??? NOT!!!!

    • Hi Lily! I think it’s one of those “finders-keepers” or “first come first served” kinds of things…..If I’m THERE, Mom should go do something else and let me stay and snooze right???

    • Hi Mollie – should we call you “Dirty Mollie” or “Muddy Mollie” ??? (tee hee) Sorry about the rain there – we have a nice blue sunny (cold) sky today and had just a TINY snow last night which is already GONE. I’m being very uncooperative with Mom today with the sheet changing thing…..I’m bad!

  11. One of the things about being in a multi-cat household is we can run under and around the sheets and sit on them…all at the same time. Sunday is sheet changing day here but Raz will practice his skills every time Mom makes the bed! No matter where he is or what he’s doing, he shows up as soon as she starts!!!

Mom wouldn’t be able to move you either. Cuteness always wins!

  13. Sometimes you just have to make things a little difficult, especially on bed changing day 🙂 Our kitties love bed changing day on all the beds, they just don’t know where to go. I unfortunately am stuck downstairs and miss out on all the fun. Now THAT doesn’t sound fair does it, Sammy?!

    • Poor Cocco….no it doesn’t……too bad you got your stairs privileges removed for being naughty!!! I bet there’s SOMETHING on the lower level you could get into though – might not be quite as fun as bed-changing but I know you Cocco and there’s a lot of things you could “fix” downstairs!! Tee Hee

  14. We used to love sheet changing day around here – then a few years ago, my human hurt her rotator cuff and the chiropractor told her not to do any stuff like that so she had to hire a housekeeping service. Then after her shoulder healed, she found out she and her boyfriend could budget it in PERMANENTLY! So now we have strangers changing our sheets while we avoid them. Bummer. I think my human should take back that task, just for us.

    Like

    • Oh wow….my Mom would give her right (insert body part of choice) to have a housekeeping service BUT strangers in your house must be just a TAD tough to get used to. I guess you don’t feel comfortable grabbing their ankles from under the bed or chasing them around a corner…..well maybe you can talk your human into the OCCASIONAL bed-changing. Maybe.

  15. We like to help with changing the sheets too. It’s fun to lay there and just look at Mom when she is trying to take the sheets off. We don’t know what “get down” means. It’s fun to rub your scent all over the nice clean sheets. It’s especially nice when the sheets are toasty warm from the dryer. Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)

    • Hi Ruckus! Nice to meet you! You live in sunny CA…..well I hope you’re nowhere near the scary fires out there just now…..but I DO know that weather in CA is beautiful almost ALL the time otherwise. Lucky you…….Notice in my beach picture that my Mom photoshopped my house to that little spot behind me – now THAT’s where I wish I lived REALLY instead of in sometimes snowy Virginia…..sigh.

    • Well it is a game that’s for sure – and most cats I know either ACTIVELY play it or HAVE played it – it’s our way of reminding humans that we are crafty, sneaky, and love to have FUN (and sprinkle fur wherever we go!!).
