Teaser Tell All

Standard

Hi Everybody!   Did you enjoy seeing all those fab old pix of humans and baby animals on all the “TimeWarp” blog postings yesterday?   I sure did…..Thanks Easy and Mollie for that – I believe everyone would be “up” for another one next week – will you be keeping those going??????  People are asking me as if I was “in the know” !!!

ANYWAY, are you ready to find out about yesterday’s Teaser photo?   There were a LOT of guesses……………and a lot of interesting guesses………..here’s the photo(s) again!

TeaserJan14

These are two shots of the same area only one was taken closer to the area than the other and one was taken from INSIDE the car (thanks Mom)……………..it is the San Francisco Peaks that you see – just north of Flagstaff, Arizona.  The San Francisco Peaks are a volcanic mountain range located in north central Arizona, just north of Flagstaff. The highest summit in the range, Humphreys Peak, is the highest point in the state of Arizona at 12,633 feet (3,851 m) in elevation. The San Francisco Peaks are the remains of an eroded stratovolcano.    An aquifer within the caldera supplies much of Flagstaff’s water while the mountain itself is located within the Coconino National Forest and is a popular site for outdoor recreation.

Did anyone guess right??????  Actually only one person guessed ARIZONA…..and while that wasn’t the whole truth and nothing but the truth about the Teaser, it was the closest guess and in the right state.  Who was that lucky person????   It was P. M. Terrell – suspense/thriller author and pet lover who lives in North Carolina with her three doggies, Simone, Lucy and Eddie!   If you love a thrilling read – this lady’s the writer for you!

Trish

YAY Miss Trish!   You get the Purple Badge…..

The Much Coveted "First Right Guesser" Award

The Much Coveted “First Right Guesser” Award

Nobody else guessed Arizona so no hugs being handed out today (sniff sniff) but you all STILL get a badge after all so that’s pretty good huh???   You know the one………………

"I didn't have a clue but I get an award anyway!"

“I didn’t have a clue but I get an award anyway!”

Wasn’t that FUN?   Sorry I fooled most of you this time around but lots of you were VERY CLOSE to being right……………..VERY.   Next week I’ll give you another goodie I’m sure……you know me – always looking for a CHALLENGE to hand to you!

    • I know CK – it seems just a bit weird doesn’t it? There was a big long explanation of how that happened somewhere when I was researching the San Francisco Peaks – something about Indians and explorers and such……who knows what else Arizona has made off with and what they used as an excuse. I think it’s nice that you’re up for giving them the Long Island Ducks though – they’ll be thrilled (or will they?!).

      Hugs, Sam

  5. Hey, we guessed within the United States. We think that’s pretty good. We sort of figured the dry terrain meant that it wasn’t Colorado and Pike’s Peak, but….We never heard of the San Francisco peaks before now, and Mom says thank you for telling us how they were formed. • Amazon.com is a super cheap way to get books – much cheaper than a bookstore……and I’m not sure if Trish’s books are in libraries everywhere……but you could write to her through her website and ask?!?!?!

      Huggies, Sammy
