Hi Everyone!!
Thanks to all of you who chimed in yesterday when I posted about the new heated outdoor kitty house we bought for the feral who LOVES us. She REALLY loves us now that she has a heated floor in her house believe me. Yesterday was a good day for her to really test it out because it was not only cold, but rainy and sleety ALLLL day. Every time Mom looked out there, Stevie was snoozing it up big time in her warm little kitty condo.
I was noticing this morning while I was patiently waiting for the sound of bacon frying in the kitchen how many cats or cat “things” are around my house. My parents really DO love cats. Not that I had any question in my mind about that before of course – after all – they have ME!!! But so many other things…pillows, stuffies, artwork, photos, drawings……you know – STUFF. Do your parents have a lot of “pet stuff” around their house? Whether you’re an only cat like me or a dog or in a house FULL of animals……would someone walking into your house KNOW the people who lived there loved animals?
I think my toy wagon and tissue paper collection would give it away here but there’s also other stuff around………..like:
This is just a SMALL (and I mean SMALL) sampling of what’s to be found walking around my house……….Interesting to think about………huh?!
Now – here’s something FUN you need to do today…..before you do anything else! You need to make a visit to a beautiful ginger girl kitty friend of mine, Miss Dinnermintz. She lives with Fozziemum “Down Under” and today is her SEVENTH BIRTHDAY! So please, won’t you stop by? She’s having a tootsie party – she asked people to send her photos of their tootsies (Mom couldn’t find a “suitable” one of mine to send!)……and we thought that was a cute idea. Be prepared to see lots of pink toesies and one pretty ginger kitty turning SEVEN!
Have a pawsome Saturday…………………..I intend to – no matter if the weather is icky or not.
Thanks fur reminding us about Dinnermintz birthday! Addycat and i just stopped by her bloggy to wish her a purrfect day! =^..^=

Our living room which is not overly huge, has turned into the cat’s room. We are merely the audience! I wouldn’t have it any other way. Cats are just meant to be spoiled.

Oh I totally agree – most of our house looks like one big “cat play room” and we only have ONE CAT but it looks like we have 50 because of all the stuff….HAHAHA…..we don’t mind one bit!

Your parents are cat people for sure, S. And why wouldn’t they be?? I mean look at you! People in my house could DEFINITELY tell an important dog lives here. Photos of me are everywhere. Plus at Christmas time, our tree has more doggie ornaments than anything else.

But my mom bought two sweaters what should be “weimaraner brown”, but they were more whatever than like me. I think it’s perfect to have two stuffed “Sammy’s” at home, you can blame all mischief on them :o)

You have the world’s biggest collection of half-eaten stuffies EVER! Good thing your Mom visits that trashure store frequently…..hee hee hee.

I don’t believe I have had the pleasure of meeting Dinnermintz. I love her name and today IS her birthday after all.
Is there anything in the house to indicate that there is a cat lover here? Well, yes. What a good blog that might make. When you walk into the kitchen, there is a tile on the wall with a beautiful ginger bot. Then, mom’s new coaster she showed eery buddy that shows a heart with a paw print on it that says “my heart is taken” and a Leslie Ivory light switch plate. But aside from a basket of toys and toys littered everywhere and dander in the air…….

See? You can ALWAYS tell a pet lover the second you walk in the door (or sometimes before you walk in!!)…..I think it’s pretty cool. Mom has lots of other cat stuff squirreled away in drawers, shelves, cabinets but those are my favorites.

Sammy, we didn’t know you named your birthday kitty after Mau. That is the sweetest thing. Our house is overrun by bears, pandas and cat things. Mom’s friends all know what she likes, so birthdays and Christmas bring in new things every year, in addition to what she manages to collect on her own. We are actually surprised there is room for us. Have a snuggly weekend. Hope to see a photo of Stevie in her new house sometime soon. The humans are levying us for 48 hours this weekend. Phooey! Hang in there – enjoy that warm kitchen floor and relax! I just HAD to name my new kitty Maukitty….he “lives” in my Mom’s office but he’s mine all mine! Funny about Stevie in her house – every time my Mom walks by the door and peeks out there Stevie’s in the house – Mom goes to get her camera and STevie’s gone….I think Stevie has “camera radar”…..HAHAHAHA

We have tons of cat stuff in our house. A lot of the stuff is gifts from both of our grandma’s. They know mom goes crazy over anything with cats on it so they buy it for her. One thing mom really loves is her many cat Christmas ornaments. Every year when she takes out her cat ornaments she thinks of the person who gave her the ornament. I’m pretty sure people will know we love our pets when they come to our house. We have 3 carpeted kitty thingy’s in our tiny condo living room. There’s a carpeted cat tree with two perching shelves. Petals and Blossum almost always sit together 😀 (so cute). Then we have a rope scratching post and a carpet scratching post and many, many play toys. We love them sooooooo much. If not for Mr B, they’d be really spoilt, he keeps us all in line…snort (we let him think so anyways).

Mom says that as much as she’s always loved cats, she just HAS to surround herself with cat THINGS. Happily I’m one of those THINGS….the most important one in fact!!! As for Stevie and her new “digs” – she is really loving that house. When the weather finally warms up, We may just take the heated pad out and put a blankie in it and it will be her “year-round” spot. It’s such a well-made, well-designed house. It came FLAT in a box and took about two minutes to put together. Amazing. Anyway, Stevie Outside and Sammy Inside are happy now! Totally!
