What To Do With Bacon Leftovers??

Standard

HA!  As if that would ever be a problem in MY house but since today is Saturday, I do believe I will have a BACON-STUDDED day because we DO have leftovers from my party – both here and on Cat Scouts!  YAY!!!!

So help yourself if you love the stuff as much as I do……………In fact, because I love bacon so much I did a “search” on my media file here on my bloggy to find ANY photo I have that refers in any way to the subject of BACON…….of course there were some old cards for my buddy Bacon of Pig Love……but I also found lots of other “stuff”………I’m a real “Baconmaniac” !!!

It was BEYOND cold all day yesterday but thanks to the wind what started out looking like this:

LateMarchSnow2013-1

Ended up looking like this after the wind blew the snow out of the trees (which was good because we could have lost branches, trees, from the weight of the snow!).

Today is ULTRA FREEZING again but no snow predicted.  That’s good….yesterday I talked Mom into letting me go out on the front porch a couple of times and I stayed out there about 20 seconds MAX. each time.  Man oh man was it windy and cold!!!  But I had to walk through some snow that had blown up on my covered front porch and I did NOT like it!  Not a bit!  Somehow in my head, every time I asked Mom to let me out there I was expecting to find THIS……….

Sam enjoying the front porch on a pretty fall day

Yes I know – I live in a dream world if that’s what I expect on a winter day!   Oh well….a guy can dream – right?????

HAPPY BACON DAY!

Love, Sammy

  2. As soon as I saw the title, I thought, “Who has bacon leftovers???” That’s crazy talk. As I predicted, the snow touched my belly, yesterday. I tried walking where it was plowed, but the salt burned my feet. Yup. Mom had to carry me home….

    • Oh Cupcake….I’m sorry about the belly touching snow….even in your parka it managed to get to you huh? I bet your Mom didn’t mind ONE BIT carrying you back home though. We don’t want cold tummies OR burned toesies!

  3. Hi, Sammy!
I know it’s bad for the trees, but that first snow picture is beautiful! It looks like a winter wonderland. (just think, if you were a doggy, you’d probably be out there running around in it! Brrrrrrr….)
Enjoy your warm, stay-inside bacon day!

    • Wow Charlie….I’m glad you’re having a bit of Spring – I think we’ll have a few more months of this incredible cold before we even begin to IMAGINE Spring! This morning it was seven degrees. At least the sun’s out so I can “pretend” it’s nice outside!!

  4. Your first snowy picture is beautiful but I understand about the weight breaking the limbs.
Every day should be bacon day…these cold days are great inside days.

P.S. Not to rub it in or anything, Sammy, but it’s supposed to be 60 degrees here tomorrow. Maybe some of that warmth will sneak up your way!

  5. Every time I see that chocolate cake with the bacon on top I get all excited! I can’t even talk about the weather today. Too skeery what is heading our way.. 😯
We are going to eat our way through this snowstorm and frigid temps and hope that our heat stays on and the water keeps flowing.. 🙂

    • HAHAHAHA……I agree with you about that cake…makes my mouth water! I hope you don’t get hammered with snow and ice Miss Pix…….we have SUN all day today and this morning when Mom signed onto the computer it was only SEVEN degrees out – it’s warmed up to 28 now. Hopefully no snow though – haven’t heard about any coming HERE but some going north. I hope you have lots of FOOD (cheeseburgers, etc.) available for hunkering down at home for a while…..AND that you keep your heat and water….this is gonna be a RECORD winter I think!!

      Sending WARM hugs, Sammy

Cold here and we love it, but you had best stay by the fireside, Sammy and dream of that beautiful spring to come.

  8. We are soooooo right there with you (well, uh, not on the bacon thing. We’re Chewish after all!). But that frozen stuff, and that white stuff? WAY too much of both. We think “negative degrees” shouldn’t even exist on a thermometer!

  9. I don’t know what I agree with more! All the wonderful leftover bacon ideas or dreaming about the sunshine. Mom says you are making her hungry, she is going to go make us some dinner……hopefully she will find some bacon somewhere YUM!

    • Oh I hope she DOES find some bacon Marty…..I admit to being a bacon-o-holic but Mom makes sure I don’t overdo. We only eat bacon with our breakfast on weekends as a treat….but I do think it’s a LOVELY way to spend a weekend!! HAHAHA Happy Easy Sunday!

  11. Snow looks pretty but our Mom is already sick of it. She is alreadys saying “bring on spring.” That bacon looks really good. Our pawrents had bacon sandwiches the other day and the whole house filled up with the yummy aroma of bacon. Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)

  12. LOL, wouldn’t that be grand if you went out one door and it was summer there. You look so teeny, tiny in front of your door. You’re the perfect accompliment to all of moms pretty baskets of flowers. The royal life you lead. Don’t stay out too long, you’re toes will get very chilly.

    • Oh Misaki I’m so sorry – I know you’d love to have a big bunch of snow to play in……if I were you I would! Our snow is gone now – it got into the 40s yesterday so it melted…..this morning it’s SEVEN DEGREES so if it was raining it would be WHITE rain (snow) !!!
