Hi Everybody! Hope you all had a good weekend……….we had another pretty one – Fallish but not TOO Fallish – Coolish but not TOO Coolish…..just right!
It looks like from the poll that the most votes went to my having a BEST COSTUME CONTEST for Halloween so that’s what it’s gonna be! I’ll also have another event going on which will be something fun to do but not a competition. The Costume Contest, however, will be competition and all of you will be voting for your favorites and the winner will be getting a prize…..YAY……we all love prizes right? So start thinking about your costumes – I know you probably are saying “but Halloween is so far away” – well guess what gang….it isn’t !!
I’m happy to tell you that we have another Guest Teaser for tomorrow’s Tuesday Teaser…………….yes indeedy and you’d better be ALERT if you wanna win the FIRST RIGHT GUESSER badge because our friend Easy is back from his blog vacation and you know he’s the guy who is poised at the ready when my Teaser appears on his computer at home in Brittany so WATCH OUT!
This Friday my Mom is going to visit her sister and sister-in-law up in the mountains of West Virginia and won’t be home until Sunday. That means me and Dad will be hanging out together doing guy stuff Friday and Saturday. The problem for me is always the lap nap thing. Yes I have to admit that Mom’s lap is way more comfy than Dad’s is. I’ll probably have to resort to couch naps or bed naps or rug naps. Dad is too squirmy to be a good “bed”……a guy can’t get any decent nap time in. Mom’s the best – she won’t budge until it’s ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to disturb me. Even if her legs fall asleep or she needs to visit the “necessary room” – or go to the kitchen to work on something for dinner – she’s a real trooper!
I’ll have to get Mom to get some posts lined up for me while she’s gone because my Dad’s useless on the compawter…….I think he MIGHT know how to turn it on but after that? Forget about it! 😀
Well it’s the start of a new week so let’s make it a good one – whatcha say?

I agree Cupcake…..I think I have my Dad well trained when it comes to most things when Mom’s not here but he will need nudging just a bit. He doesn’t understand that I NEED to have my litterbox cleaned the instant I use it for instance……or that when I scream at the bottom of the stairs it means “please come help me get upstairs – NOW!”……Moms are WAY more easily trained I think…….

Fallish&Coolish is much better than Freakish&Foolish I think. I can’t wait for Halloween and a costume contest sounds GRRRREAT! Is it only for pets or for the staff too? I understand your problem, Sammy. A mom-less time is hard to bear. Dad’s are for boy-things, like catching a mouse or for a bed-BBQ- but mom’s are the best head rests and nap places. Oh gosh Easy, I hadn’t thought about having humans pawticipate in the contest – I think humans are in pretty weird costumes in the first place – all that naked, furless (mostly) skin – wrinkles, warts, freckles, that’s quite a “costume” they have compared to our beautiful, sleek, furry or hairy or fluffy bodies. Anyway, I think we’ll just do anipals. I’m worried about Mom leaving me alone here with Dad for two days BUT you just went over a week without your Mom and survived….if you can do it so can I !!! Catalogs at the ready? Good!

Hi Nissy…….Not sure about a BBQ – it’s been a bit chilly for that – usually when Mom’s away Dad eats lots of stuff that has beans in it because he’s forbidden (for reasons which shall remain nameless) from eating lotsa beans when Mom’s here. BBQ’d bacon DOES sound rather yummy though….I may see if he’ll BBQ some in the oven. Where there’s a will – there’s a way!

She’s got a book-signing in Pennsylvania on Saturday and it’s supposed to be beautiful THERE as well as in W. Virginia where my Auntie Carol is! We think you should make Easy be the guest posting a Teaser or two. That would give the rest of us an opportunity to win, not that we ever guess correctly. So a costume contest. Well, Easy DOES have some kind of magic when it comes to the Tuesday Teaser, it’s true, but he’s not ALWAYS first…..he’s almost always right though!! 😉 Today – who knows?!
