Caturday Chillin’

Hi Peeps………….hope you enjoyed the leaf shots yesterday and I’m planning on updating those in about a week assuming we have our usual Fall – the kind that happens QUICKLY – cuz if so, those shots will be significantly more colorful in a week.  We might get some rain this weekend and that will help. If we get lotsa rain, the colors are more brilliant.  Mom says so.  Meanwhile I’m NOT watching the leaves – I’m having bacon for breakfast then chillin’ the rest of the day like any self-respecting lazy cat would do.  😀

I’m also spending time thinking about what to do for Halloween this year – several of you said you were thinking about it already too.  I thought I’d ask your opinion since YOU will be the ones participating – and – you’ll be the ones winning the prizes for whatever competition I have!   I’ll leave the poll up a couple of days so everybody has a chance to vote and let you know what the winner is.

In addition to the competition I’ll have, I’m also going to do something FUN on my blog for Halloween – a scary tour through a haunted house, or a haunted hayride through an old farm or something SCARY like that!

  2. You KNOW I did not vote for costumes, Sammy – I hate wearing them (not that that seems to make any difference to my human)! I don’t need to have a haunted house on my blog for Halloween – all I need is Binga in a bad mood!

    • TWO costumes Cupcake? Oh wow……I guess you can’t say what they are or it wouldn’t be a surprise huh? Well I bet you’ll be ADORABLE in both of them – why? Because you’re ALWAYS adorable, that’s why!! Happy Saturday!

    • Thanks! My Mom and Dad do a “regular” pumpkin carving for the kiddies who trick or treat and a “cat pumpkin” for me – they’ve done that all 13 years I’ve been here with them and I just LOVE it (so do the kids who come to the door!).

    • Thanks! We make a cat pumpkin for Sam every year but honestly, even though we do a big “regular” pumpkin for the front porch, when the little kids trick or treat and see “Sam’s pumpkin” they love that one the best! My husband really does a good job following the lines I draw on the pumpkin for him – the ears are just triangles cut out and “stuck” in place with toothpicks….it’s fun.

  11. Whee are starting to get excited now. Mummy has had inspiration and says she is going to do a couple of surprise things for Hallowheek but nothing beats a good old fashion dress up contest!

    • Oh goodie! I’m glad you guys are going to do something special too…..it’s fun to think of fun stuff to do for Halloween – and then when that’s over it’s just a hop, skip and jump until SANTA PAWS COMES!! WOO WOO!

  13. Sam, can we vote more than once? Mom likes all your ideas. Your pumpkin from last year is great. Mom has a cat pumpkin photo from many years ago that she plans to share on Halloween. It isn’t even close to as good looking as yours is Sam. We are finally having some rain as well. Hope it continues a few more days.     • Hi Kitties! I think you can vote more than once – try again this morning…….there’s a link to yesterday’s post and the poll should still be open! It’s kinda tough to see that pumpkin my Dad did because Mom had to hold the camera extra still (HAHA) without the flashy on so you could see the candle light coming through the cat’s eyes and whiskers and stuff. Anyway, we’ll have another one this year and Mom will try harder to get a decent photo of it! RAIN – it rained like MAD here last night – WOOT!

    • Hi CK…..so far on my poll it looks like we’re gonna have a costume contest but the poll will stay open today too so who knows?! Whatever we do it will be fun though and if I do a haunted house or haunted hayride too – well – let’s just say PAWTY HEARTY!

    • Hi Spitty……I’m not much on costumes either BUT I don’t mind it when Mom photoshops me in some kind of ridiculous costume. She gets a giggle out of it so hey – anything to keep her entertained – know what I mean? As for scary poems, I bet you can write a “doozy”…..too bad you weren’t on my camping trip last year when we had a bonfire with scary stories – we even gave a prize for the scariest one – I bet you would have won!!
