Hi Everyone………….!
Today is sheet-changing day ’round my house and of course like all self-respecting dogs and cats I love to HELP my Mom with that little chore. Oh sure…….she tries to sneak around up in her bedroom and do it all by herself but I know she needs me – so when I hear her pulling those sheets off, I’m THERE.
Whew – now that’s done – what’s next Mom? I know – I can check to make sure things are safe outside before we go out for a walk!
All clear out front!
All clear out back!.
See Mom? I’m helping……now what else do we need to do INSIDE before we can go OUTSIDE?
Oh yeah…..eat my breakfast! How could I forget THAT chore????
I’m good to go now Mom….!

Oh Sparkle I can’t blame you for that…..housekeeping people are nowhere NEAR as much fun as our humans are when it comes to helping. Too bad. Did you try the sad eye thing? Probably doesn’t work on the housekeeping people though does it?!

Hi Mollie! I thought beds were FOR bouncing on – now true, you probably weigh a bit more than I do and make more of an impression bouncing on a bed than I do, BUT sometimes Mom picks me up and drops me a couple of feet above the bed onto the bed and I quite like that! Almost like bouncing – it’s sort of a game we play on sheet-changing day!

Yep – we really are……4:30AM is early BUT then my parents go to bed super early too…..it all balances out……AND Mom has always been a morning person. That gives us ALL DAY LONG to concentrate on ME ME ME ME!

Hi Sundae! Yes I did see that you have a new little “long distance” baby sister!! Gypsy is absolutely adorable and I’m hoping (so is my Mom) that one of these days your Mom decides the two of you need to meet….I know you’d be a great big sister for her……Yep – me and Mom are up every morning together at 4:30 and Dad continues to snore away for another hour or so then joins us. We’re early birds (DID SOMEONE SAY BIRD?????!!!!!).

You are a great little helper. I can’t help with the bed cuz I can’t jump up there. I try… but can’t make it up. I can jump up on the couch (when she is not look’n) but the bed is too high for me. Sigh. I wish I could jump like you.

Hi Bacon!!! I’m not sure why my Mom picked Thursday for chores but when she used to work it was Saturday. I do like to help though – sometimes I’m not entirely sure she appreciates my help (!) but I’m always right there where she is sticking my paw in for support…..tee hee. Bacon did you know that August 31st is INTERNATIONAL BACON DAY??????? I found out about it on a blog I didn’t know about which Miss Caren at CAT CHAT told me about……. http://365daysofbacon.wordpress.com. Needless to say I’m rather excited about it. I know for sure there’s not an International Sammy Day so you’re one lucky piggy to have your very own DAY!

Yes Bacon – SATURDAY is International Bacon Day so they apparently have a special day set aside for YOU so maybe since it’s “international” you’re supposed to go on an around the world trip to celebrate????? Yes I agree that we’re probably ahead of most normal people (hahahahahahahahaha) in that Mom’s up before the rooster is and starting her day. At least Dad’s smart and sleeps until a decent hour but my Mom’s ALWAYS been an early bird. I don’t mind because we have that time together!

My Mom had to get up at that horrid hour when she worked – now that she’s retired she doesn’t HAVE to do that but still does – humans are kind of weird sometimes (!) – BUT because my Dad is smart enough to SLEEP IN, this gives me a chance to have some QUALITY time with Mom.

My Mom’s got tons of energy super early in the day then slowly over the day she gets slower and slower until I can pop up on her lap and keep her down for a while! HAHAHAHA I don’t walk around our neighborhood – just our yard – but Eddie, the cat before me DID walk with my Mom and Dad around the neighborhood. If he got tired Dad would pick him up and put him on his shoulder and continue on until Eddie wanted back down again. Our block is almost a mile so it was quite a long ways for Eddie to trek with them but he loved it.

Me also helpz wif sortin da bookz when needed n me helpz organize da food in da cupboardz….den dere iz refurrin da fur-nature n sprinklin cat litter on da bathroom floor too…..whew…me iz tired just finkin ’bout it all…so me iz off fer a nap now! 😉

I think our Moms like our help – but sometimes maybe our “help” means more work for our Moms – I’m like you, I like to sprinkle litter here, there and everywhere when I “flush” my toilet and Mom doesn’t think that’s very helpful. I’m just trying to DECORATE but she keeps cleaning it up! What’s with that?
