NO that’s not a typo…………today is Momday. I decided that today is going to be all about Mom. YES I know she has her own day once a year anyway – Mother’s Day, but today is MOMday here in my house.
Hi Mom!
So why Momday? Well, a better question might be WHY NOT?! Yesterday as I was watching Mom clean out my litterbox for the third time since morning I got to thinking about how much she really does for me. She does LOTS. From my first meal of the day to my last hug of the night before bed, she’s there for me. If I need her and I call, she’s there…….if I feel the need to go potty and want her standing by to clean the box, she’s there…….if I want to go outside and I stand by a door and scream, she’s there…….if I want a nice cozy nap and hop up on her recliner to give her the BIG HINT, she’s there…… My Mom is THE BEST.
Wonder if her arms are aching from holding all fourteen of my pounds!
In fact, she does so much stuff for me (and Dad too I suppose) how does she find time to do anything for herself???? (TRUST ME…..SHE DOES!!)
See? She does do SOME stuff for herself like buy a new car……
Do you tell your Mom how much you appreciate her? What do you do to show you love her? Hmmmm???????

Now peeps and peepers, do you know what TOMORROW is? Do you? It’s Tuesday Teaser. I have a bit of a different kind of shot for you to examine tomorrow. That’s all I’m saying……tune in tomorrow and take a peek and you’ll see for yourself………….OR NOT!
Now, do me a favor and to find your Mom right now (if she’s home of course) and tell her you love her. Head bonk, leg rub, licky face, eye wink, whatever! And if she’s not home right now, surprise her with a special WELCOME HOME (whatever that might be).

Actually I’m not ALLOWED in Mom’s car (black interior – eeeek) – only Dad’s Blazer. That’s probably smart because I tend to shed about half my fur on the way to the vet!

Well, I have to confess, I consider my human my assistant – I know who my mother was, and I remember her very well. She was a kitty like me, not a human. My human gets a proper acknowledgement for a job well done… when it IS well done.

Hi Sparkle…..I have no idea who my Mom was – from what my parents were told I’d been abandoned under an old house by my Mom so I decided when my humans adopted me at the shelter that THEY were more parental than whoever my cat people were!! LOL But I do think it’s grand that you reward your assistant from time to time – it pays to keep them satisfied – after all, they are the treat dispensers in our lives! LOL

Well Austin, it pays to show the staff how you feel about her – after all, they are our main source of treats (tee hee) and who else could open the cans of food????? You do have to be careful that you don’t overdo it though and spoil them….they can be rather persnickety if they’re spoiled!

Hi Charlie! Every time I use my box I run to tell my Mom. Hee Hee…..I know I don’t NEED to have a totally clean litterbox ALL the time but I prefer that – so of COURSE I’m truly “ONE SPOILED CAT” !! I’m glad you like my Mom’s car – it’s very pretty – it’s a 2014 Buick Lacrosse. I’m not allowed to get inside though because (a) I hate cars and (b) I’ve got white tummy fur and when I’m stressed out (like in a car going to the vet) I shed like crazy. I’m restricted to my Dad’s car instead! 😦

Funny how some of us have a need to be praised for using our toilets but we want to MAKE SURE our Moms know how well they trained us back when we were babies learning such things! Tee Hee…..I guess we never QUITE outgrow the love of being praised (at least I sure haven’t!!!!).

Hi Miss Sue! I’m being EXTRA good today and my Mom seems to be appreciating it. I only slipped up once……she was doing laundry and I absolutely INSISTED she stop and follow me to the basement so I could go potty and have her clean it right up. Hee Hee…..my own personal potty flusher!

Oh, your mom loves you so much. Three box tidies in one day is dedication. You’ve included such a cute picture of mom too. Blossum is a daddy’s girl but Petals likes to be carried around everywhere, for a long as you can do it. She’s like a little baby (and whaaaaaa’s like one at times too). HA! Well, I figure 14 lbs. isn’t all THAT bad……my doctor doesn’t think I’m a tubby guy either so that’s also good considering how much bacon I eat (hahahahaha). My Mom will never tell anyone her weight – and not just because she eats bacon too…she says ladies just don’t like to do that. I suppose I’ll never quite understand humans!!!
